ghost burn review

Thermogenic fat-burners are often used by lifters, bodybuilders, and other people who want to get in superstar shape as quickly as possible.

Of course, we always want to review these fat burners to make sure they actually do what they claim so that they don’t end up just burning your money, and not any fat ????.

You may have heard of a fat burner called Ghost Burn, which is what we’ll be reviewing in this article. In this Ghost Burn review, we’ll take a look at the ingredients, active benefits, pricing, and all other factors to see if this thermogenic is really a keeper!

About Ghost Burn

Ghost Burn is a thermogenic fat burner made by Ghost, a pretty popular fitness supplement company that also offers a variety of other products, many of which we have previously reviewed.

Other Ghost Reviews:

The Ghost Burn formula includes carnitine, grains of paradise, and several ingredients designed to turn up the heat and kick your body into fat-melting overdrive.

Ghost Burn Bottle

And don’t forget about the stimulants either! Ghost Burn also has caffeine, coffee bean extract, bitter orange, and other stims to ramp up your energy and further assist with fat burning and metabolism.

Altogether, Ghost Burn was created for any fitness-minded individual who wants to ramp up metabolism and get lean quickly.

Ghost Burn Benefits

The main claimed benefits of Ghost Burn are:

  • Rapid Metabolism and Thermogenesis
  • Reduced Fat Storage
  • Decreased Stress
  • Improved Energy

Rapid Metabolism & Thermogenesis

A sluggish metabolism can make it nearly impossible to lose weight, even if you think you’re not taking in many calories.

Ghost Burn claims to rapidly enhance your body’s metabolism and all of the thermogenic processes that turn fat into energy. This is all thanks to a high dose of carnitine, grains of paradise, and other metabolic activators.

Reduced Fat Storage

We all know those people who just seem to hold on to extra body fat. And maybe this is a problem for you! After all, stubborn body fat is very common, especially in the chest, thighs, and belly.

Ghost Burn states that you’ll see a reduction in fat storage and instead use fat for fuel. Bitter orange, chromium, and a couple of other compounds in Ghost Burn may inhibit the body’s ability to store fat which may help you lose those stubborn pounds that don’t seem to go away.

Decreased Stress

Let’s face it: trying to lose fat is stressful. You have to deal with hunger pangs, poorer mental and physical performance, and even trouble sleeping at times.

But Ghost Burn is advertised to decrease stress and make the fat loss process a bit more manageable, which is due to ashwagandha, tyrosine, and other natural stress-busters.

Improved Energy

When you have to cut calories, you’re gonna have lower energy and more fatigue. But this can disrupt your workout performance and day-to-day life.

Ghost Burn claims to improve energy levels and other related areas, such as focus and drive. Their formula uses caffeine, coffee bean extract, and tyrosine to naturally lift your mood and energy levels, which may also allow you to power through those fat-burning workouts.

Collectively, Ghost Burn has a solid list of potential benefits.

However, does Ghost Burn actually work? Or is just another hyped-up fat burner that fails to deliver?

Ghost Burn Supplement Facts

You can either take one or two scoops per serving, so we’ll list both doses for each ingredient (with the one-scoop dose first).

Ghost Carnitine (1,500mg/3,000mg)

Ghost Carnitine is a trademarked blend of l-carnitine tartrate and acetyl-L carnitine HCl. This blend has equal doses of both per serving.

Both of these are carnitine sources, and carnitine is a compound that plays key roles in energy metabolism. Specifically, carnitine is used for metabolism and turning fatty acids into energy.

This may lead to fat loss and weight reduction over time, but not always.

You can find a pretty high dose of acetyl-l carnitine in JYM Shred too.

Chromium Picolinate (500mcg/1,000mcg)

Chromium picolinate is a bioavailable form of chromium, which is a trace mineral.

This mineral helps to stabilize insulin and blood sugar levels, along with other roles in metabolism.

If the dose is high enough (and it’s decent in Ghost Burn), chromium picolinate can help a little with fat loss and even maintaining lean body mass during a cut. Plus, it might help cut sugar cravings.

Choline Bitartrate (500mg/1,000mg)

Choline bitartrate is a well-absorbed form of choline, an important nutrient. It’s most known for increasing acetylcholine, which is a brain chemical involved in focus and mental energy.

But choline also plays a part in fat metabolism. And some research shows that it can reduce body fat pretty quickly in athletes.

KSM-66 Ashwagandha (300mg/600mg)

KSM-66 is a research-backed, trademarked form of ashwagandha root extract. Ashwagandha is an adaptogenic herb with many different health properties, several of which are relevant for fat loss.

For example, ashwagandha can curb cortisol (a stress hormone) and may have other hormonal benefits that assist in fat loss.

In particular, ashwagandha seems helpful for losing weight when you’re under a lot of stress

This is also why ashwagandha is featured in many night-time fat burners, such as Night Shred, to help you drift off.

L-Tyrosine (250mg/500mg)

L-tyrosine is an amino acid with several important roles. It increases both dopamine and noradrenaline, which are generally stimulating brain chemicals that improve energy, alertness, and motivation.

Tyrosine supplementation may enhance brain function especially in people who are under stress and at risk of dopamine and noradrenaline depletion.

Its stimulatory effects may also help with metabolism, but these don’t seem to be too big.

Stimulants (250mg/500mg)

Ghost Burn has three different stimulants, which are natural caffeine, cocoa bean seed extract, and Neurofactor coffee fruit extract.

Together, these three provide sources of caffeine, theobromine, and other stimulating compounds that may enhance metabolism, increase energy, aid fat loss, and support workout performance.

Neurofactor was also specifically shown in a clinical study to enhance attention and general brain function.

Bitter Orange Fruit Extract (30mg/60mg)

Bitter orange is an herb that’s rich in a compound called p-synephrine. This compound increases adrenaline and other stimulatory effects, which can ramp up calorie-burning and energy expenditure.

Research also suggests that bitter orange and p-synephrine can improve fat and sugar metabolism, reduce the likelihood of body fat storage, and reduce appetite.

CaloriBurn GP Grains of Paradise Extract (20mg/40mg)

CaloriBurn GP is a trademarked form of grains of paradise. Now, this might sound like another foreign compound. But it’s a member of the ginger family actually.

And the roots are rich in compounds that can enhance thermogenesis and brown fat activity, which basically makes it more likely that you’ll burn fat for fuel and energy.

BioPerine Black Pepper Extract (5mg/10mg)

BioPerine is a trademarked form of black pepper extract. It contains a compound called piperine, which has been shown to increase the bioavailability of various vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and herbal ingredients.

So basically it may help enhance the effects of the other ingredients in Ghost Burn.

Does Ghost Burn Work?

Ghost Burn is an all-around quality product and seems likely to help you out with fat loss and physique improvement.

Their formula has a solid line-up of evidence-based, effective ingredients. And most of the important ones are dosed at a good level, including KSM-66 ashwagandha, Ghost carnitine, and chromium picolinate.

Together, these and other ingredients may work to improve metabolism, ramp up calorie burning, reduce appetite, and stimulate fat loss.

Ghost Burn really doesn’t make any crazy claims either, as it’s just meant to be a general fat-loss product. And to that end, it holds its ground.

How Does Ghost Burn Compare?

Ghost Burn is a pretty high-stim fat burner compared to most other fat loss products. But it certainly isn’t JUST stimulant-based as it also has many other helpful fat burners, such as carnitine and chromium. We also like the inclusion of ashwagandha to manage stress, which isn’t often seen in fat burners.

Ghost Burn also gets two points for its fully transparent label and overall solid doses. And many times either one or both of those key checkmarks are lacking in fat burners.

For example, a very similar product in terms of ingredients is Phena-Lean. After all, it contains caffeine, theobromine, tyrosine, grains of paradise, and a couple of other similar ingredients. But most of these are included in a proprietary blend weighing a little under 600mg so it’s clear that Ghost Burn has a much more effective dosage and is the better option.

Another fat loss supplement that has a similar-minded formula is Hydra Shred by Sparta Nutrition. Hydra Shred has a fully transparent label and includes pretty high doses of carnitine, Teacrine, and CaloriBurn GP grains of paradise. It offers many different stimulants including caffeine sources, theobromine, guarana, and yerba mate, as well as classic fat burners such as green tea and garcinia.

This formula seems to offer many possible benefits for fat burning, metabolic enhancement, and improved energy, although it’s not quite as high-dosed as Ghost Burn overall. Hydra Shred costs $49.99 for 60/30 servings (depending on the scoops used) and Ghost Burn is $44.99 for 40/20 servings.

Who is Ghost Burn Best For?

Ghost Burn is best for bodybuilders, athletes, and other gym-goers who want a high-stim supplement to help increase energy for workouts, ramp up metabolism, and lose fat more quickly.

A few of the ingredients in Ghost Burn also make it a good choice for people who have a particularly tough time managing stress when going through a fat-loss phase.

How to Take Ghost Burn

Ghost Burn comes in powdered form. You can take one or two scoops depending on your goals, preferences, and tolerability.

We always recommend starting with the lower dose to reduce the risk of any side effects and to see if one scoop may be all you need for the benefits.

Take one scoop with 5 to 6oz of water or two scoops with 10 to 12oz of water. It can be taken with or without food. Just don’t exceed two servings per day.

Is Ghost Burn Safe?

Ghost Burn is high on the stimulants, especially if you take two scoops. This may cause:

  • Jitters, anxiety, nervousness
  • Increased heart rate and blood pressure.
  • Trouble sleeping (esp. if taken later in day)

Other possible side effects are:

  • Headache
  • Mood changes
  • Upset stomach, nausea, & other digestive symptoms
  • Fishy body odor (from carnitine)

Ghost Burn is made in a cGMP, FDA-registered facility. It has a few ingredients that some individuals may not prefer, including artificial flavors, sucralose, and FD&C Red 40.

This product is vegan-friendly, soy-free, and gluten-free.

Where to Buy Ghost Burn

You can buy Ghost Burn right from Ghost’s website. Their products are also available on many online and in-store retailers too, such as GNC.

Ghost Burn Website

There are 40 scoops per container, which is either 40 or 20 servings depending on if you use one or two scoops.

Ghost Burn comes in four flavors:

  • Mango
  • Warheads Sour Watermelon
  • Passionfruit
  • Spicy Pineapple Margarita

The regular price of Ghost Burn is $44.99 ($1.12/$2.25 per serving). You can save 25% with the Subscribe & Save option, which lowers the cost to $33.74 ($0.84/$1.69 per serving).

Obviously, if you take two scoops every day Ghost Burn can get to be a bit high-priced. But at just one scoop per day, it is very reasonable and lower than most fat burners. So, judging from an overall value perspective, Ghost Burn is pretty fairly-priced especially since it has high doses and quality ingredients.

Final Thoughts: Ghost Burn Review

Ghost Burn is a high-quality fat burner that’s made by a reputable company. It’s filled with a variety of ingredients that have been shown to enhance the body’s natural fat-loss processes and may also give you more energy and stress support.

Plus, every ingredient has an exact dose listed out on their transparent label. And there are four tasty flavors to choose from which can make it a more enjoyable experience too.

Altogether, Ghost Burn is high on our list particularly for stim-based fat burners (noting also that there are other solid ingredients too).

Should I take one or two scoops?

It’s best to start with one scoop to assess tolerance and to see if that’s all you need for desired effects. But you certainly can take two scoops if desired/needed.
