Green Superfood Blend
This blend is full of healthy greens which contain high amounts of the vitamins and minerals your body needs to function. Unlike a daily vitamin, these ingredients are more readily absorbed by your body from within your GI system because they are a powder mixed with water, rather than a hard to dissolve capsule.
Metabolic Enhancing Blend
Here is where this gets tricky. Green tea leaf extract is proven to be an antioxidant, but the claims surrounding its purported weight loss abilities are unsubstantiated. All of the ingredients listed in this section are known to have anti-inflammatory properties which can be very beneficial in the body, particularly in people with heart disease. As for speeding up your metabolism, there is little to no evidence to suggest this process is taking place.
The antioxidant blend is back on the right side of science. Antioxidants are known to keep the body clear of dangerous free radicals which cause oxidation damage in the brain. Antioxidants are well studied and definitely a health choice for daily consumption.
Sugar Balancing Support
Now we come to another minor red flag. gymnema sylvestre has been shown to reduce blood sugar levels. For some people, this is a great supplement to help manage their high blood sugar. But what if you have low blood sugar, or manage your diabetes with insulin?
In either case, taking gymnema sylvestre could lower your blood sugar levels dangerously. This, in conjunction with the diuretic fennel seed can lead to dangerous dehydration and low blood sugar situations.
Increasingly, high blood sugar is a concern for many, particularly with diabetes and obesity on the rise. That said, I recommend caution with gymnema sylvestre and do not think it is a supplement meant for everyone.
I use quotes because the existence of adaptogens has never been proven. This is supposedly a class of drug that helps the body react to stress, or adapt. Studies of adaptogens and Astragalus have not shown any known effect. The FDA considers this substance to be safe, but it has no known medical properties.
Cellular Function and Liver Support
this section lists aloe vera and milk thistle. Aloe Vera is a laxative that can help clean your gut of toxins while leaving your good bacteria undisturbed. Milk thistle is still being researched, but early findings suggest it is an anti-inflammatory which promotes cell regeneration in the liver.
While this sounds healthy, be aware that aloe vera extract can cause diarrhea and dehydration in some people. If you suffer from constipation, it can be a wonderful and healthy way to return to regularity. If you suffer from watery bowels, however, watch out! Aloe vera may harm you by making your problem worse.
The best was saved for last with the probiotic list. Probiotics are where the real work is done in the Morning Complete supplement. Our body naturally requires certain flora or gut bacteria to remain healthy. While many foods like yogurt and some cheeses may help us ingest some of those bacteria, it can be hard to maintain healthy levels without assistance.
Many stomach and bowel issues are rooted in a lack of good gut bacteria, and unless you have a strict yogurt regime in place, you will benefit from the addition of probiotics into your day.

Many of the ingredients in Morning Complete are scientifically proven to be part of a healthy diet for everyone. Unfortunately, many of the ingredients above are either unsubstantiated or can actually cause harm to some. If you are seeking this product for a specific concern, Morning Complete could be a healthy choice to address those issues.
Sadly, Morning Complete is trying too hard to be truly complete, and while it may have something for everyone, it almost certainly contains something you don’t need as well.
At $80 for a 30 day supply, this is a fairly expensive supplement. To compare, a 30 day supply of the leading brand of antioxidant, a probiotic and a multivitamin is around $30. That means Morning Complete is more than double the cost of buying these three things separately.
The other ingredients in Morning Complete don’t seem to justify the cost when they have either not been proven to work or have been proven not to work. If you happen to be a constipated person with untreated high blood sugar, this might provide value for you. For the rest of us, there are much cheaper options.
