As we get older our bodies change. Our metabolism slows down, our skin starts to lose its luster, and energy levels begin to taper off. While there is certainly nothing wrong with getting older, many people look for ways to minimize the negative effects of aging like hormone imbalance, weight gain, and heart problems.

Created by personal trainer Katy Hearn, Balance is a full-spectrum dietary supplement designed to support every woman’s fitness goals. Balance uses a special blend of substances meant to support hormonal balance, weight management, complexion, and fertility. Balance claims that is can help improve your sleep, give you more energy, and lose weight quicker.

Every so often so celebrity fitness instructor drops a fitness product they throw their weight behind. Since dietary supplements are not regulated by the FDA, they can sort of claim all kinds of benefits with no evidence.

So today we are going to cover Alani Nu Balance Dietary Supplements and take a look at its pros, cons, ingredients, cost, and whether or not it actually works.

Alani Nu Balance Dietary Supplement

Overview: Balance

Alani Nu Balance Dietary Supplement tablet

Balance contains a proprietary blend of substances, including Myo-inositol, DIM, chromium, and folate. Balance is designed to promote healthy hormone balance in women to combat the negative effects of aging and the ensuing hormonal imbalances. Balance claims to promote fertility and insulin sensitivity, brighten complexion and reduce wrinkles, increase estrogen levels, manage blood sugar levels, and promote good cardiovascular, neural, and emotional help.

The manufacturer also claims that Balance can be used to become fertile and the supplement promotes good fetal health. Each supplement comes in a convenient capsule form and you are supposed to take 4 a day in the morning with breakfast.

That is a lot of claims and we would be amazed if even half of them were true. Whenever some dietary supplement claims that it can manage several disparate issues in the body by providing some key missing function, those claims are probably exaggerated at best or outright lies at worst. While the list of ingredients seems pretty solid and some are known to have positive benefits, like so many supplements, there is really no clinical evidence showing that they actually work.

We won’t be too hasty here though as that is unfair. At the very least, the product has incredible reviews on the manufacturer’s website (4.9/5 for 8,000+ reviews) and most of them seem to be from actual people. Anecdotal evidence is not as strong as clinical evidence, but it is still a kind of evidence nonetheless. Moreover, there are a decent amount of negative reviews, which means the company likely does not scrub negative reviews from the site to artificially boost ratings.

  • Good blend of ingredients
  • Solid branding
  • Lots of positive user reviews
  • Company seems reliable
  • Simple and convenient

  • Seems too good to be true
  • Somewhat expensive compared to other supplements
  • Poor BBB rating for company

Balance claims to improve weight management, clear skin, and promote regular menstrual cycles by regulating hormone levels. Most of the ingredients work by increasing estrogen levels while decreasing testosterone levels. Balance also contains some ingredients meant to promote insulin sensitivity, as insulin resistance is a major factor affecting fertility in women.

Lastly, Balance regulates blood sugar levels which can help with weight loss. Balance also  claims to help women suffering from symptoms of polycystic ovary syndrome,

Alani Nu Balance Ingredients

Alani Nu Balance Dietary Supplement ingredients
  • Myo-inositol: Myo-inositol is a complex sugar that lowers testosterone and triglyceride levels. Myo-inositol has been shown to increase pregnancy rates and is a common substance used for fertility treatments. It can also increase insulin sensitivity
  • Folate: Folate promotes human growth and development. Folate is extremely important for healthy fetal development as folate deficiency can cause neural tube defects.
  • Alpha-lipoic acid: ALA reduces insulin resistance which can help women lose weight by increasing the metabolization of sugars. ALA also has antioxidant properties and can potentially improve neural function
  • DIM: DIM is a natural compound found in many vegetables. DIM prevents the body from converting estrogen into testosterone so it helps regulate hormone levels. DIM has been shown effective at managing certain forms of cystic acne.
  • Chromium: Chromium has been shown to regulate blood sugar levels and support weight loss. Chromium may also be beneficial to those with type II diabetes.
  • L-glutathione: L-glutathione is an antioxidant that can soak up damage-causing free radicals. L-glutathione also might help with complexion and wrinkles.

Safety and Side Effects

None of the ingredients in Balance are known to have negative side effects and are safe to take. It is recommended that pregnant or breastfeeding women consult their doctor before taking Balance.
