Texas-Superfood-Review

Many people in today’s society struggle to eat enough fruits and vegetables every day, whether from lack of time, effort, or even enjoyment. As a result, some people are turning to superfood supplements such as Texas Superfood to help fill the gaps in their diet or simply to outright replace fruits and vegetables. And this is done with the hopes that they will experience just as good, if not better, health than people who consume whole-food sources of fruits and vegetables.

With so many people doing this, the question then becomes: “are superfood supplements really effective and beneficial?” The answer, of course, varies depending on which nutritional supplement you look at. And in this article, we will be reviewing a superfood supplement called Texas SuperFood. Look no further if you are wondering what exactly is in this product, how it works (if at all), and ultimately whether it is worth your money or not.

Our Texas SuperFood review will help you decide if this is the dietary supplement for you and how it compares with the rest of the nutritional supplements.

About Texas SuperFood

Texas SuperFood is a superfood supplement designed for people who “can’t, won’t, or don’t” eat fruits and vegetables on a regular basis.

This health supplement looks like a green powder and comes in capsule and powder form, depending on your preference. Regardless of the form, it is advertised to contain over 55 ingredients, which include an assortment of raw fruits and vegetables, herbs, algae, grasses, probiotics, and digestive enzymes. And all of these are designed to supply the body with a boatload of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, phytochemicals, and other nutrients the body needs for optimal functioning.

In terms of how Texas SuperFood is made, the claim is that every ingredient is picked at peak freshness. After that, a cold-press juicing technique dissociates the nutrients from the pulp, and then that juice is turned into whole-food green powder, which is finally used in capsule or powder forms.

The Texas SuperFood company is, in fact, located in Texas (Greenville). Although it has limited reviews on the BBB company website, and there is not much information about the company on their supplement website. Typically, there is an “About Us” section or something similar, but this is not the case with Texas SuperFood.

What Are Superfoods?

So, what is a superfood anyway? Well, the word “superfood” is a marketing term used to describe foods that are exceptionally nutrient-dense and believed to provide certain health benefits.

Thus, it is a somewhat ambiguous term and has no strict definition, which can lead to some confusion for consumers. Nonetheless, all of the foods listed as superfoods typically do have health benefits. Whether or not they offer any advantages over “ordinary” produce is still up for debate.Complete by Texas Superfood

Texas Superfood Ingredients

As noted, Texas SuperFood is available in powder or capsule form. The formulas are the same, with the capsule itself as the only difference.

Both contain the whole food powder formula. The serving size of Texas SuperFood is 6 grams for the powder or 6 capsules (with each capsule weighing 1 gram).

Beyond that, it is impossible to determine the exact concentration of ingredients as they are listed as a proprietary blend. For best absorption, the company suggests small doses of Texas SuperFood multiple times a day.

Texas Superfood Complete Recommended Dosage

This SuperFood review would not be complete if we did not give you a whole list of the ingredients and some details for the most important ones. Here is the full list:

Spirulina, Black Elderberry, Wolfberry, Chlorella, Broccoli, Blueberry, Fenugreek, Spinach, Pear, Ginger, Hawthorn Berry, Wheat Grass, Carrot, Asparagus, Alfalfa, Apple Cider Vinegar, Mango, Cucumber, Aloe Vera, Mulberry, Noni, Tart Cherry, Orange, Cranberry, Barley Grass, Lemon, Green Bell Pepper, Sweet Potato, Cauliflower, Pumpkin Seed, Tomato, Strawberry, Red Bell Pepper, Raspberry, Celery Seed, Garlic, Turmeric, Holy Basil Leaf, Rhubarb, Oregano, Green Tea, Acerola Cherry, Oat Grass, Grape, Moringa Leaf, Pomegranate, Acai, Watermelon, Parsley Leaf, Black Cumin Seed, Enzyme Blend, which contains, Amylase, Cellulase, Invertase, Papain, Protease, Lactase, Bromelain, Lipase, and Maltase), Either Cayenne Chili (Capsule form) or Monk Fruit (Powder form), Probiotic Complex

Now, that is quite a list of ingredients! But how well will they work? Our Texas SuperFood review would not be complete if we did not explain it in full detail.

(Note: Some ingredients are organic, while others are not. Therefore, Texas SuperFood is not classified as strictly organic. Please check the ingredient label to note which ingredients are organic if this is of high importance to you).

Fruits and Vegetables

Clearly, there are many different fruits and vegetables in the Texas SuperFood Blend. There are many different varieties too, such as various berries and cherries, citrus fruits, cruciferous vegetables, leafy greens, root vegetables, and many others. All of these foods offer their own different nutrient profiles and they all provide an assortment of vitamins and minerals, dietary fiber, and phytochemicals.

Of course, there is not actually any fiber in Texas SuperFood due to the cold-pressed juicing technique. Nonetheless, some of the nutrients are likely retained.

In terms of nutrient quality, many of these fruits and vegetables are superior because they are very nutrient-dense. In fact, research even calls some of these foods “powerhouse” fruits and vegetables due to their high nutrient profiles.

A massive amount of research unequivocally shows the importance and benefits of fruits and vegetables on human health. For example, they help decrease inflammation, improve gut health, strengthen the immune system, help you lose weight, and decrease the risk for many different diseases, including cancer, diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease, and neurodegenerative diseases.

Grasses and Algae

Texas SuperFood also contains grasses and algae. Cereal grasses (e.g. wheatgrass, barley grass) are younger green plants that will eventually grow to produce cereal grains.

Alga is a general term for many different aquatic plants involved in photosynthesis. As for their health benefits, both cereal types of grass and algae provide an assortment of vitamins, minerals, phytochemicals, and active enzymes, as well as a key compound called chlorophyll.

Both of these plant substances can aid in detoxification, improve digestive health, offer antioxidant activity, balance blood sugar, and contribute to overall health and wellness.

Herbs

There are also numerous herbs in Texas SuperFood powder and capsules, such as turmeric, ginger, fenugreek, and parsley.

Herbs are some of the most nutrient-dense foods on the planet, and they offer many of the same benefits as the other plant foods mentioned so far.

In particular, herbs are usually great for digestion, inflammation, immune health, and cardio-metabolic health. They often play an essential role in digestive health and will be added to many other health supplements.

Enzyme Blend

Also included in Texas SuperFood is the Enzyme blend, which consists of amylase, protease, bromelain, lipase, and other digestive enzymes.

These digestive enzymes Texas SuperFood provides help break down different food components, which ultimately leads to enhanced digestion and bioavailability of the foods you take in. For example, amylase helps to break down carbohydrates; lipase helps to break down fats; and protease helps to break down protein.

Other enzymes in this blend help to break down lactose (lactase), sugars (invertase), and other ingredients, making this blend great for wide-ranging digestive support for some of the most common nutrients that you consume.

Probiotic Complex

Finally, Texas SuperFood contains a probiotic blend, although it is unclear which probiotic strains are included. Probiotics are live microorganisms that can help keep your gut healthy, including improving bowel movements, and may even help boost your energy levels.

In general, probiotics increase the number of good bacteria in your gut, which can enhance digestion, improve gut barrier integrity, and establish better overall gut health. This can also lead to improvements in areas connected to the gut, such as the immune system and brain.

Texas SuperFood Benefits

Our SuperFood review has to include some of the benefits that this dietary supplement claims to offer. In addition to meeting your daily needs for fruits and vegetables, the main claimed benefits of Texas SuperFood are improved energy, increased mental clarity, sleep support, and even improved self-worth and confidence.

Complete by Texas Superfood Benefits

More Energy

The nutrient-packed ingredients in Texas SuperFoods are designed to support the body’s natural energy production pathways, which in turn should increase your energy level and help you power through your day.

Taking Texas SuperFood pills is like giving your body a boost for better mental awareness, concentration, memory, and even energy to do everything you need to.

Improved Mental Focus

Similarly, the various nutrients you get from Texas SuperFood are designed to support optimal brain health and mental clarity. They also say it can help to reduce brain fog, improve memory, and stave off mental fatigue (no more afternoon slump?).

Texas SuperFood ingredients like ginger, goji berry grape, and black elderberry will help keep your brain sharp and ready.

Sleep Support

One thing we could all likely use more of is sleep, and Texas SuperFood is also designed to give you a better night’s sleep.

Texas SuperFood claims to include necessary micronutrients that you may be deficient in, which ultimately could restore better sleep.

Improved Confidence and Self-Worth

Finally, Texas SuperFood claims to help you increase confidence and self-worth, most likely from feeling good about what you put in your body.

If you notice physical, mental, and/or other positive health changes from this supplement (such as weight loss), that could lead to boosted self-worth as well.

But is this supplement really a true superfood, a “subpar food”, or maybe something in between? Continue reading to find out just how beneficial Texas SuperFood really is.

Does Texas SuperFood Work?

Now, for the main question: does Texas SuperFood actually work? In reality, it is very tough to tell since this product comes in a proprietary blend. Overall, the verdict is that it is possible, but not definitive that it will work.

Yes, all of the plant foods included are known to possess many different health benefits thanks to the abundance of vitamins, minerals, phytochemicals, antioxidant properties, and other ingredients. But it is impossible to tell exactly how much of each ingredient is in the blend.

Plus, this product has not been specifically studied in clinical research for any of the claims made, so it is unclear if the processed form of nutrients in Texas SuperFood will yield any benefits even close to that of real foods.

Also, in theory, the probiotics and digestive enzymes would increase the effectiveness of this product, but again, it is unclear exactly how much of these are in the product. Plus, it does not list what probiotic strains are in it.

Overall, this product is excellent in theory, but inconclusive in practice. When looking at the serving size, we find it hard to suggest that simply 6 capsules or a 6-gram scoop of powder could provide all of the benefits of whole foods.

How could they really fit the nutrition of 55+ ingredients into such a small amount? I believe that is a question worth considering.

Increasing your daily intake of fruits and vegetables is no doubt beneficial. As Harvard Medical tells us, it has demonstrated significant health benefits and a reduction of chronic disease. Texas SuperFood provides ample plant-based ingredients, but there is not enough evidence of the ingredient dosage and overall product blend to conclude that it will work effectively.

Claims vs. Reality

The company claims made by Texas SuperFood might be able to stand, but it is really hard to say for sure. In theory, the product could deliver fantastic benefits for energy, mental focus, sleep, and overall health and wellness. In fact, there are a lot of positive reviews, so it has a good share of anecdotal evidence. However, it is just impossible to tell since we cannot see how much of each ingredient is in there.

Some of the Texas SuperFood reviews mention a number of improvements in these areas, but there are a number of reviews that are not as promising, especially on sites different than the product website. Some complaints pertain particularly to the Texas SuperFood taste.

Overall, it is still a potentially solid supplement. Just because something cannot be proven does not mean it will not work for you. But just remember that this product is not guaranteed to be a benefit for all of your health concerns.

Texas Superfood Safety and Side Effects

The company does not report any adverse reactions to its Texas SuperFood powder. However, many superfoods can create stomach issues until you become accustomed to the supplement. Things such as an upset stomach, bloating, nausea, and changes in bowel movements are common side effects. Diarrhea is the issue reported most frequently.

And for some people, these issues do not go away with continued use. Unfortunately, this problem is always a possibility, especially if this is not your only supplement.

In other aspects of safety and quality, Texas SuperFood is generally an allergen-free formula as it is gluten-free, soy-free, and dairy-free. It is also vegan, GMO-Free, and contains no added sugar.

Lastly, the company is certified by Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), which always makes us feel better about purchasing the product. You can check the company website for more information on the manufacturing.

Where To Buy Texas Superfood

You can buy Texas SuperFood on their main website. The company website lists the subscription price for Texas SuperFood capsules as $89.95 for a single bottle with reduced pricing for a double bundle ($82.75 each) or a family bundle ($76.41 each).

You can also save quite a bit by getting into the Subscribe and Save program for any of the options mentioned. In this case, the price is $69.95 for a single bottle with reduced pricing for a double bundle ($64.35 each) or a family bundle ($59.46 each).

Texas Superfood Complete Website

The Texas Superfood Powder is priced the same as the pill capsules for all options. As you can see, it is a pretty expensive product, with each serving costing anywhere from around 2 to 3 dollars.

Lastly, they have a satisfaction guarantee/30-day money-back guarantee. Basically, you have 30 days to return the product if you are not satisfied. Simply return any unused portion and you will get a full refund minus shipping costs.

For some, 30 days might not feel like enough time, but this should generally be enough time to gauge the product’s effectiveness.

Texas Superfood Alternatives

Given that Texas SuperFood is not the end-all-be-all superfood supplement, it is important to consider alternative superfood supplements. It is not to say that Texas SuperFood will not work, but rather you might want to consider other effective health supplements too.

After all, the Texas Superfood supplement is not the only superfood on the market. As a matter of fact, there are a lot of established supplements, such as Boku, Green Vibrance, Invigor8, and Balance of Nature. Let us look at some superfood alternatives so you know your options.

Boku Superfood

BoKU Superfood is certified organic, vegan, kosher, and gluten-free. We rate this superfood highly at a 3.8 due in large part to its efficacy. You can get a 9.4-ounce container of BoKU for $60.99 or set up a subscription and pay $51.84 per container.

Green Vibrance

Another superfood alternative comes from Green Vibrance. This is a plant-based superfood packed with 70 ingredients. Green Vibrance will cost you $56.

Invigor8

Last, but not least, Invigor8 is another superfood alternative. Invigor8 is a daily meal replacement shake that is packed full of superfood ingredients. You can get a 645g canister of Invigor8 for $60.

Balance of Nature

The final superfood supplement worth comparing is Balance of Nature. In fact, many people wonder how Texas SuperFood compares to this product since they are both high in popularity.

It is very similar to Texas SuperFood and it contains a powder form of vine-ripened fruits and vegetables and the serving size is 6 capsules. It is pretty expensive at $89.95 for 30 servings. To see our review of Texas SuperFood versus Balance of Nature, check out this link

Texas SuperFood Review: Is It Worth The Money?

To conclude this Texas SuperFood review, it is possible that it is worth the money for some people, but not everyone. Again, it is a very healthy supplement in theory, but the lack of definitive dosages makes it impossible to gauge its effectiveness.

Of course, individual results may vary, and you could very well benefit from the Texas SuperFood supplement, it is just inconclusive overall.

This is why we say that it “may” be worth the money for some people. The only way to find out is to try it for yourself, as I definitely still think it is worth trying out. After all, you do have 30 days to return the product for a full refund.
