New products are emerging in the nootropic world every day. It can be easy to fall for the many claims youโll see listed throughout their website, packaging, commercials, and online advertising. Like most products, however, these claims are often just that — claims.
When shopping for a nootropic, itโs best to know what youโre looking for exactly. Some will be designed to provide a general cognitive boost, while others will zero in on a certain cognitive benefit. Whatever youโre looking for, the right product is out there somewhere. You just have to find it.
For those interested in Gorilla Mind Rush, weโll have the full breakdown of the product including the ingredients, pricing, and most importantly whether or not itโs worth your purchase.

What is Gorilla Mind Rush?

Gorilla Mind Rush is one of several products offered by Gorilla Mind. Their product line is extensive, with other well-known options including Gorilla Mode, Gorilla Mind Sigma, and Gorilla Mind Smooth. At first glance, Gorilla Mind Rush is marketed a lot like a pre-workout and is designed to act like one. If youโre looking for a nootropic that will give you intense focus and concentration — with an added energy boost — Gorilla Mind Rush says they have the perfect product.
Theyโre fairly clear about what Gorilla Mind Rush is intended to do. Hereโs a list of the claims they make for their nootropic:
- Intense focus and insane productivity
- Incredible concentration all-day
- Increased motivation and drive
- Doesnโt rely on caffeine
- No jitters, no crash
- Start feeling a change after just 15 minutes
- 6-10 hours of complete focus
If it does what itโs intended to do, this would be a great addition to anyoneโs daily routine. Especially when you consider replacing this with your daily energy drink. Of course, the reliability and effectiveness of Gorilla Mind Rush will depend on the quality of ingredients used.
Letโs see just how good this nootropic is.
Breaking Down the Ingredients

Many nootropic supplements and brands that represent them do a great job of marketing their product as effective. Most of the time, this only leads to disappointment after the consumer tries it without success.
The good news is Gorilla Mind Rush clearly labels their supplement with the ingredients they use, as well as the dose of each ingredient. The ingredients are split up into three different categories — the Gorilla Mind Cognition Complex, the Rush Energy & Focus Matrix, and the Gorilla Mind Absorption Catalyst.

Gorilla Mind Cognition Complex
As the name suggests, this group of ingredients is designed to give your mind the concentration and focus it needs. It includes Bacopa Monnieri, Alpha GPC, L-Theanine, and DMAE. These are all known to be powerful nootropic ingredients and produce a strong complex for the mind.
Letโs take a closer look:
- Bacopa Monnieri – This is a plant that has been used for centuries as a form of medicine. It contains powerful antioxidants, holds anti-inflammation properties, prevents anxiety, relieves stress, and boosts brain function.
- Alpha GPC – This phospholipid is extremely important for brain health by providing choline to our cell membranes. The choline will also help build acetylcholine and nourish neurotransmitters.
- L-Theanine – This amino acid is not essential for humans and isnโt produced in the body, but research suggests it improve focus, improve sleep, and help ease your mood or emotions.
- DMAE – Also known as Dimethylethanolamine, this compound is naturally produced in the body. It can help produce acetylcholine, improve your memory, and promote a better mood.
This is a good set of nootropic ingredients that is sure to boost your cognitive function if the proper dose is used. Looking at their label, they claim the normal serving size contains 200mg of Bacopa Monnieri, 300mg of Alpha-GPC, 150 mg of L-Theanine, and 375 mg of DMAE — all of which are safe and effective doses.
Rush Energy & Focus Matrix
Where the last complex was more the โmindโ complex, this next one is more the โrushโ complex in Gorilla Mind Rush. Part of what the company says separates this product from others is the ability to remain laser-focused for long periods of time. Thatโs where these ingredients come to play.
The Rush Energy & Focus Matrix includes L-Tyrosine, Huperzine-A, 2-Aminoisoheptane, Caffeine Anhydrous, DiCaffeine Malate, and Higenamine. Letโs take a closer look at these ingredients.
- L-Tyrosine – This amino acid is essential to producing dopamine and noradrenaline, helping us to perform in high-pressure situations. (100mg)
- Huperzine-A – This supplement is derived from several different firmoss plants and is known to increase acetylcholine and neurotransmitters. It can also improve memory and help fight depression. (100mcg)
- 2-Aminoisoheptane – This ingredient has seen its fair share of criticism in recent years. Known to have stimulant effects, many researchers have offered their concern over this ingredient.
- Caffeine Anhydrous – This ingredient is essentially dehydrated caffeine. While this does mean a more concentrated caffeine ingredient, many types of research have raised concern over this one as well.
- DiCaffeine Malate – This is a patented form of caffeine-containing 25% malic acid and 75% caffeine. It helps provide an energy boost without a crash and can be easier on the stomach.
- Higenamine – This chemical is found in many different plants and has been rumored to help athletic performance. Many people use it in pre-workouts, but thereโs insufficient evidence supporting this.
When it comes to Gorilla Mind Rushโs Rush Energy & Focus Matrix, I am most concerned with the mixture of 2-Aminoisoheptane and Caffeine Anhydrous. Both come with a large amount of negative research and are marked as โpotentially unsafeโ by numerous sources.
Another concern for me is that they only list the total dose for all the ingredients together (550mg) — not individually. Especially with the two ingredients above, itโs important to know how much of it youโre putting in your body. Unfortunately, we have no way of telling by looking at the label.
Gorilla Mind Absorption Catalyst
In the Gorilla Mind Absorption Catalyst, there is only one ingredient included — BioPerine (Black Pepper Fruit Extract). Itโs a pure form of piperine derived from the black pepper plant and is essential to nutrient absorption.
This pairs well with the above ingredients in helping our body absorb and utilize the nutrients we consume. There isnโt an appropriate dose for BioPerine due to insufficient research, but Gorilla Mind Rush includes 5mg of it.
Dosage, Packaging, & Pricing

Now that we know the ingredients used in Gorilla Mind Rush, we have a better idea of what to expect if we decided to purchase it. Thereโs a lot of good and bad in this product, but it could be a good supplement for people that can handle the intense nature of the product.
When it comes to the packaging, it looks like your typical pre-workout bottle. Red and black with big blocky letters will surely appeal to the manly, intense group looking for a strong rush.
As far as the dosage goes, they suggest a serving size of 3 capsules. Itโs recommended to start with 1-2 in the morning on an empty stomach and increase to 3 capsules as you feel necessary. You should not exceed 6 capsules in a 24-hr period, but we suggest not getting anywhere near that number with the 2-Aminoisoheptane and Caffeine Anhydrous included.
In every 3 capsules, youโll have the following:
- Bacopa Monnieri (200mg)
- L-Theanine (150mg)
- Alpha-GPC (300mg)
- DMAE (375mg)
- L-Tyrosine
- Huperzine-A
- 2-Aminoisoheptane
- Caffeine Anhydrous
- DiCaffeine Malate
- Higenamine
- BioPerine (5mg)
Each bottle contains 30 capsules, giving you approximately 10 servings per container. At a price of $39.99 per bottle, this nootropic supplement is more expensive than most. They do have a discount for buying 3+ bottles at $32.99 per bottle. Still, quite expensive.
For those overseas, the product is available on Ebay, but not Amazon.
Pros vs. Cons

Every nootropic supplement will come with its own amount of pros and cons, so itโs important to weigh whatโs important and what you are okay with settling for in a nootropic supplement. When it comes to Gorilla Mind Rush, weโve compiled a list of the pros and cons below.

- Alpha-GPC, L-Theanine, and DMAE are solid cognitive-boosters
- Di-Caffeine Malate is known to provide energy without the crash
- L-Tyrosine and Huperzine-A are good additions
- Bioperine is good for nutrient absorption
Cons

- Could be unsafe if too much is taken
- Very expensive

Claims vs. Reality

Gorilla Mind Rush made a lot of strong claims with their product. While many of the ingredients will provide a cognitive and energy boost, there are some potential concerns about the safety of the product for consumers.
I like the mixture of Bacopa Monnieri, Alpha-GPC, L-Theanine, L-Tyrosine, Huperzine-A, DMAE, Bioperine, and DiCaffeine Malate. I also think they did a great job with the doses in the Gorilla Mind Cognition Complex.
Unfortunately, the 2-Aminoisoheptane and Caffeine Anhydrous concern me enough to shy away from this product. Itโll give you a similar boost than pre-workout, but it could be a dangerous boost.
Final Verdict
If it werenโt for the 2-Aminoisoheptane and Caffeine Anhydrous, I would really like this product. It might not have the same power when it comes to energy, but there are plenty of viable ingredients to replace it with.
I would also like to see some more natural cognitive enhancers that have centuries of research supporting them. Lionโs Mane Mushroom, phosphatidylserine, Ashwagandha, and Rhodiola Rosea are all great options.
Thereโs a lot to like about this product, but itโs still a few ingredients from being able to compete with some other nootropics on the market that provide a safer alternative.
