Stress and anxiety are massive issues in today’s society, which is likely why many people are turning to prescription medications, alcohol, and drugs to cope with these issues. However, using these methods may exacerbate the problems in the long run, which is why it’s much more effective to try to manage anxiety and stress through natural means, including supplements with all-natural ingredients, especially in mild to moderate cases.

About XANFREE

XANFREE, also known as XANFREE Tranquil Blend, is a natural anxiety and stress supplement designed for anyone dealing with those issues on a regular basis or in short-term stressful situations. Its name almost certainly refers to Xanax, a common prescription anti-anxiety drug, so it’s clear that XANFREE wants to help users find natural alternatives to anti-anxiety medications. To do this, it contains a blend of vitamins, minerals, and herbal extracts, all of which are designed to help the body’s natural stress response and promote optimal nutrition.

XANFREE Benefits

The main benefits of XANFREE are stress and anxiety reduction, but they also claim it will improve cognitive function and promote optimal nutritional status.

Reduced Stress and Anxiety

XANFREE contains a tranquil blend of 23 ingredients, including vitamins, minerals, and herbs, designed to calm you down and promote greater resilience to stress. The ingredients supposedly act on the body’s natural processes in stress and anxiety reduction.

Cognitive Function

The many nutrients included in XANFREE are also designed to improve cognitive function, which could have merit for students, workers, and the like. Reducing stress and anxiety could also promote better cognitive function.

Optimal Nutrition

Finally, it is advertised that XANFREE contains bioavailable and optimal forms of their vitamins and minerals, which in turn leads to better nutritional status for people that take it.

But can XANFREE really stack up against, or even beat out, some of the top anti-anxiety solutions out there? Let’s find out.

With the many ingredients in XANFREE, though, comes many functions, which we will further detail below.

B-Complex Vitamins

XANFREE Tranquil Blend contains 6 of the B-complex vitamins, which have a number of roles in overall brain health and function. In general, the B-complex vitamins play crucial roles in energy metabolism, neurotransmitter synthesis and function, hormonal health, and the overall functioning of the central nervous system (CNS), all of which have the potential to affect stress, anxiety, and overall brain health. Deficiencies in the B-complex vitamins are characterized by anxiety, sleep problems, depression, irritability, declined cognitive function, and many other issues, indicating their role in mental health.

A recent review showed that B-complex vitamin supplementation was associated with decreased stress but not necessarily anxiety or depression. In general, people with poor nutritional status and/or pre-existing mental health issues are likely to benefit the most from B-complex vitamin supplementation. As for the dosage, it usually needs to be very high, well above the RDA (sometimes 10 to 100x more in severe cases).

Also, XANFREE appears to use certain bioavailable forms of their B-vitamins, such as methylcobalamin and calcium d-pantothenate, which means they are more easily absorbed and used by the body.

Zinc

There is also zinc in XANFREE, which is the only mineral included. Zinc is also important for neurotransmitter synthesis, brain metabolism, and it also is necessary for the production of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), all of which have an influence on mood, stress, and cognitive function. Also, zinc acts as an anti-inflammatory, which could help to decrease inflammation that commonly occurs alongside stress and anxiety. While more research is needed, initial research shows that zinc supplementation likely has beneficial effects on anxiety, depression, and stress.

Amino Acids: L-Lysine and L-Arginine

Up next are two amino acids, lysine, and arginine. The main roles these two play in brain health are in neurotransmitter production, such as serotonin and GABA, which can help to regulate mood and decrease stress. Research shows that a combination of lysine and arginine supplementation can stress and anxiety, as well as cortisol levels, especially in people with a high tendency towards anxiety. The typical dose used ranges from 1 to 3 grams daily for each amino acid.

Calming Herbs

XANFREE also contains many substances that I call “calming herbs.” These include lemon balm, skullcap, valerian, hops, and chamomile. Basically, all of these herbs work by increasing levels of GABA in the brain, which is an inhibitory neurotransmitter that results in feelings of calmness and relaxation. Furthermore, research shows that these herbs can reduce stress and anxiety, as measured by subjective means but also levels of cortisol. These herbs also can benefit sleep by helping to calm the mind.

Other Calming Substances: L-Theanine, GABA, and 5-HTP

There are also other calming substances in XANFREE, although they are not herbs, which is why they’re grouped together. These ingredients are l-theanine, GABA, and 5-HTP. Both l-theanine and GABA supplementation can increase GABA levels in the brain, and l-theanine also promotes alpha wave production, all of which improve feelings of relaxation and calmness. Furthermore, this combination can improve sleep via stress reduction. Generally, 200 to 400 mg of theanine and 100 to 300mg of GABA are beneficial.

Also included is 5-HTP, which acts differently because it increases l-tryptophan levels, which ultimately increase brain levels of serotonin. In turn, this leads to feelings of general well-being and calmness. The average dose used for effectiveness is around 200mg.

Adaptogens

The final class of ingredients included in XANFREE Tranquil Blend is adaptogens, which include ashwagandha, bacopa, golden root (Rhodiola), and Chinese hawthorn. Basically, these adaptogens act on the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis and the central nervous system to help control stress levels, so they don’t get out of control. They help switch on the parasympathetic nervous system, which is essential because a chronically elevated sympathetic nervous system leads to many health problems. These adaptogens can also increase GABA and reduce cortisol levels, among other actions.

Ashwagandha and golden root are the most potent of the adaptogens listed here, and research shows all of them can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, as well as improve sleep in some cases. There is a wide range of effective dosages, but most ingredients are dosed with at least 200mg and up to 600mg or more in some cases.

Does XANFREE Work?

Overall, it is likely that XANFREE will have beneficial effects on stress and anxiety, especially for mild to moderate cases. It contains a boatload of ingredients that all offer numerous benefits for stress and anxiety. The ingredients in XANFREE Tranquil Blend increase feel-good and calming neurotransmitters, such as serotonin and GABA, decrease cortisol and subjective stress and anxiety, improve sleep, increase alpha waves in the brain, and calm down the CNS and overall brain activity. In short, XANFREE includes ingredients that decrease stress and anxiety through many mechanisms.

xanfree capsules

The main concern, however, is the low dosage for some of the ingredients. If you look at the label, a lot of the ingredients contain 100mg, which makes it seem like they didn’t take much time to consider what the most effective dosage would be. And in fact, the dosages for many of the herbal ingredients and other non-vitamins/minerals are lower than what research shows are effective.

With that being said, synergistic effects have to be considered. After all, since there are so many ingredients, and they generally offer very similar benefits, it’s likely that users will still benefit from this product. So, even though there’s only 100mg of many of the ingredients, when you add them all up, you get a very potent dosage amount that equals (or exceeds) effective doses.

Lastly, they could’ve added in some other minerals for added benefits, such as magnesium, but they only included zinc. This isn’t the main concern, but it does decrease its overall potential since magnesium is so beneficial and pairs well with zinc.

Claims vs. Reality

So, XANFREE will likely reduce stress and anxiety and improve some aspects of cognitive function, but it’s not likely that it will be very effective for severe cases of stress and anxiety. This is simply because these people usually need more targeted treatments. But for people with mild to moderate anxiety and stress, XANFREE could definitely offer benefits.

I would expect XANFREE Tranquil Blend to generate mild to moderate reductions in stress and anxiety, as well as mild to moderate improvements in sleep quality. These claims are especially true if you’re someone who has a poor diet, chronic stress, and hectic work life.

Who is XANFREE Best For?

With all things considered, XANFREE is best for people with mild to moderate anxiety and who want a natural option for stress and anxiety. It could also be taken for people with severe anxiety and stress, but keep in mind that XANFREE Tranquil Blend will likely need to be combined with other treatments.
