Decreased Stress

Lastly, Burn PM is advertised to keep your blood sugar levels stable with chromium picolinate and others. And this may help to prevent possible mood swings and physical symptoms associated with the all-too-common sugar rush and crash.

Alright, well we’ve got the lowdown on what Burn PM is supposed to do. But will it actually be a best friend for people on a diet? Keep reading to find out.

Burn PM Ingredients

The main active ingredients in Burn PM are:

  • Chromium Picolinate
  • 5-HTP
  • Rhodiola
  • Ashwagandha
  • Panax Ginseng
  • Betaine
  • Beta-Glucan
  • Trimethylglycine
  • Oleoylethanolamide (OEA)

Chromium Picolinate

Chromium is an essential trace mineral involved in metabolism of protein, fat, and carbohydrates. Chromium picolinate supplementation has also been shown to improve insulin functioning and glucose metabolism. In addition, chromium may be able to suppress appetite and increase thermogenesis. 

Together, this makes it potentially effective for weight loss, and it can be found in many other similar supplements, such as Burn Lab Pro

And research has shown that chromium picolinate supplementation helps with weight loss and body fat reduction while also helping maintain lean body mass on a diet. However, the weight loss is typically only a couple more pounds than the placebo.

Recommended Dose: 200 to 400 mcg

5-HTP

5-HTP stands for 5-hydroxytryptophan and works in the brain and central nervous system to increase serotonin production, a neurotransmitter involved in sleep, appetite, mood, and other things. 

It’s why it’s in many mood supplements too, including XANFREE.

One theory is that increased serotonin leads to appetite suppression and fewer cravings, which could benefit weight loss.

Research has shown that 5-HTP from Griffonia simplicifolia can reduce anxiety, depression, and insomnia. And small evidence shows it may be able to decrease fat and body weight while increasing satiety.

Recommended Dose: 400 to 800mg

Rhodiola

Rhodiola is an adaptogenic herb used in Ayurveda for many centuries. It works by helping the body better react and respond to stressors. 

Rhodiola has been shown to have favorable effects on stress hormones while also increasing energy metabolism. It seems to be useful for improving cognitive function and decreasing fatigue too, while also improving energy levels. 

In theory then, this could help with weight loss by increasing energy expenditure and simply by feeling less stressed while dieting.

Recommended Dose: 250 to 500mg

Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha is another adaptogen most known for its anti-stress and anti-anxiety properties. It has been clinically proven to lower the stress hormone, cortisol, while also enhancing cognitive function, lowering fatigue, and decreasing stress and anxiety.

And specific research shows that ashwagandha may help adults under chronic stress to manage their mood, cravings, and stress levels, and may even help to lower body weight. 

Recommended Dose: 300 to 600mg

Panax Ginseng

Panax ginseng is yet another adaptogenic herb largely known for its stimulating properties. Compounds in this root help to manage fatigue and increase energy. Plus, ginseng has been shown to improve glucose and fat metabolism, inflammation, and oxidative stress. But more specific research is needed to see if it directly affects weight loss.

Betaine HCl

Betaine HCl is a synthetic derivative of betaine, and it is a source of hydrochloric acid. As such, it helps to increase stomach acid production, which helps break down food properly and increase nutrient absorption.

Beta-Glucan

Beta-glucan is a type of soluble fiber found in grains and other plant foods. As a soluble fiber, beta-glucan can increase feelings of fullness while also improving cholesterol and glucose levels. The fiber builds up in the gastrointestinal system, providing a sensation of fullness without providing any real calories. 

And it seems that beta-glucan supplementation can help decrease body weight and BMI when supplemented consistently. 

Recommended Dose: 

Trimethylglycine (Betaine)

Also in Burn PM is trimethylglycine, also known as betaine. Betaine has a number of effects on metabolism and has been shown to increase fat metabolism and lipolysis while also decreasing fatty acid synthesis. 

Plus, betaine is able to elevate growth hormone and IGF-1, which can increase protein synthesis and improve muscle mass.

However, the current research shows that betaine doesn’t really have any significant favorable effects on weight loss, BMI, fat mass, or similar outcomes. 

OEA

The final ingredient in Burn PM is OEA, which is a ligand involved in many physiological and metabolic reactions. It comes from oleic acid, which is a monounsaturated fatty acid with health benefits.

Research has shown that OEA leads to certain physiological activities that increase satiety, in part by activating dopamine and oxytocin. On top of that, OEA has been shown to increase aspects of fat metabolism and thermogenesis, while also helping to control food intake.

Does Burn PM Work?

Burn PM is certainly an interesting and unique fat loss supplement, and it’s also likely that it is effective too.

It contains well-researched ingredients that have been proven to offer benefits for weight loss and dieting in numerous ways, such as by decreasing cravings (5-HTP), reducing stress, improving energy (ashwagandha, Rhodiola, ginseng), increasing satiety (e.g., OEA, beta-glucan), and improving fat metabolism (e.g., chromium picolinate, OEA).

However, only two of the ingredients have specifically listed dosages (chromium picolinate and 5-HTP); the rest are all included in a blend that weighs 826mg. 

So, we can’t tell how much of each ingredient is in there, but it’s likely that the dose is too low since 3 out of the 7 ingredients, for example (OEA, ashwagandha, Rhodiola) require a combined dose of about 800mg for effectiveness, but there’s still 4 ingredients left.

This doesn’t mean that the blend will do nothing, but it’d be better off if they told us how much of each ingredient is in there, just like Hunter Burn does.

I still really like the ingredients they put in there, though, and it should provide some benefits.

Claims vs. Reality

In terms of actual benefits gained, it’s important to be realistic. 

Burn PM actually should be able to decrease stress, reduce cravings, increase satiety, and stabilize blood sugar, just like they say. 

But how much weight loss will this translate to?

Based on the ingredients in here and their research, you probably won’t lose more than 5 to 8 extra pounds over the course of 12 weeks or so. Burn PM isn’t a miracle fat-loss drug, but it does have ingredients that at least help the process. 

And of course, everyone is different, so results will vary. But this is a general overview of what you can expect provided you’re doing everything else right. 

After all, you can’t expect to have massive stress, never move around, and eat poorly, yet still lose weight just because you take Burn PM. If only it were that easy!

Who is Burn PM Best For?

Burn PM is best for people who want to lose fat and, perhaps more importantly, have an easier time losing fat by having lower stress levels, fewer cravings, and increased fullness after eating. It can be a solid option for people who are dieting to really low body fat levels as stress can get pretty high during those periods.

Each bottle comes with 30 servings (90 capsules). 

The regular price is $95.72 ($3.19/serving), although you can lower it by 11% by choosing the Subscribe & Save option, which brings the price to $85.19 ($2.84/serving).

Evidently, this is a very expensive supplement, and I’m not sure this price is justifiable. 

The ingredients are high quality, but a lot of them are in a proprietary blend. Granted, it should still work, but I think they’d be better off putting the price around 2 dollars per serving.

How to Take Burn PM

You are supposed to take 3 capsules every day at the same time each day. Typically, this should be when your cravings hit most or around 60 to 90 minutes after your last meal in the evening. Just take it with 8oz of fluid.

Final Verdict: Burn PM

Burn PM is a unique fat loss supplement that should be able to help control cravings, decrease stress, and increase satiety, all of which play huge roles when dieting down. Yet, the price is really expensive, but we think it’s still worth trying out to see if the benefits are worth it for you personally.
