Omega Power Creamer Review

Coffee has been enjoyed by many for nearly 1,000 years and is one of the most consumed beverages in the world today. In America alone, 64% of the population will drink coffee on a daily basis — and they’ll drink nearly 3 cups of it per day!

Next to water, tea, and alcohol, there’s nothing people love more than a cup of joe. It could be the early morning, noon, the afternoon, night time, or 2 in the morning, and sure enough, you’ll know there’s someone drinking coffee somewhere.

As much as we love it, we’re always trying to improve it. Whether it’s the source of the coffee beans or what you add into the coffee, there are a wide range of ways to turn your cup of joe into a powerful and healthy daily beverage. You can always find a healthy alternative coffee, such as Rasa Coffee Alternative or MUD\WTR. But, what if you want to enjoy your normal favorite coffee brand, and just add a little something to it to make it healthier?

That’s where Power Creamer claims to deliver the goodies. They took something we all use daily — coffee creamer — and gave it a makeover. In this review of Power Creamer, we’re going to see just how good that makeover is and whether or not you should consider adding it to your diet.

What Is Omega Power Creamer?

Many people have been adding sugar, cream, and milk to their cup of coffee to enhance the flavor. It’s actually because of this that coffee has become as popular as it has, making it available to those that don’t enjoy the raw taste of coffee.

In addition to that, creamers have made it even easier to enjoy your coffee and have introduced a world of flavors to the traditional beverage.

Unfortunately, most of these creamers contain high amounts of sugar, high amounts of unhealthy fats, and dangerous sweeteners. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could enjoy coffee without these negative side effects? After all, we shouldn’t have to choose between taste and function — we should have access to both!

With Omega Power Creamer, you can achieve this because they’ve removed sugar, increased the amount of healthy fats, and still added a wide range of delicious flavors.

To help you fully understand Omega Power Creamer, we’re going to break down the science behind it, which ingredients they chose, and whether or not they hit the mark with their product!

The Difference Between Healthy Fats And Unhealthy Fats

Dietary fats and cholesterol often have a bad reputation for making people overweight and unhealthy. While this is true in some instances, there are also healthy fats and cholesterol that can benefit your body.

In most oils and foods we consume, there will be a combination of healthy and unhealthy fats. While some unhealthy fats are okay to consume in moderation, the fat you want to avoid is trans fat — it will both increase bad cholesterol levels and decrease good cholesterol levels in the blood.

Outside of trans fats, things get a little tricky. You’ll see a variety of other dietary fats listed on ingredient labels, including saturated fats, monounsaturated fats, and polyunsaturated fats. While saturated fats are a fat you want to consume in moderation, not all saturated fats are created equal.

When shopping for a supplement that uses oils, it’s always best to choose a monounsaturated or polyunsaturated fat. If you do happen to choose a saturated fat, it’s best to target one that contains a high amount of medium-chain triglycerides — also known as MCTs.

Coconut oil is a popular example of a saturated fat high in MCTs.

Why Is There So Much Hype Surrounding MCT Oil?

MCT oil has become an extremely popular oil for those in the Keto community. It consists of medium-chain triglycerides, which are medium-length chains of fats that are much easier for the body to digest.

There are four main types of MCTS — caproic acid, caprylic acid, capric acid, and lauric acid. MCT oil will generally consist of either capric acid, caprylic acid, or both. Caproic acid is known to have a bad taste, while lauric acid is typically ineffective.

One of the benefits of MCTs is that they travel straight to the liver to be used as energy. Once converted into ketones, they travel through the blood and can even cross the blood-brain barrier, providing your brain with energy as well.

In the event of excess MCTs in the liver, they will get stored as fat. For this reason, you’ll want to make sure you don’t take too much of it — especially if you’re eating a lot of carbs or are trying to lose weight.

If you want MCTs while cooking, coconut oil is a good choice (bust should still be taken in moderation). If you want MCTs in a supplement or beverage, MCT oil is best — it has virtually no taste and always stays liquid due to the absence of lauric acid.

Who Is Power Creamer Designed For?

Power Creamer is designed for a specific target audience — coffee lovers. The good news is this is an extremely large audience and likely one of the largest in the world — watch out Justin Bieber fans.

The bad news is they are also a very loyal and picky group. If you mess with their favorite beverage the right way, you’ve got them for a while. If you mess with it and they don’t like it, good luck.

With the presence of MCT oil and Coconut oil, this sounds like it would hit home with a lot of Keto dieters. Keep in mind this is going to add a good amount of fat to your coffee, while also zeroing out the carbohydrates — the foundation of the Keto diet.

You might also find Power Creamer beneficial to your day if you need a nice jolt of energy in your coffee, outside of the caffeine. The MCT oil will help you achieve this both physically and mentally.

Does Omega Make Any Claims Or Guarantees For Power Creamer?

Anytime we look at a supplement, we like to jot down the various claims or guarantees made by the company. This is important because this is where the value of the product comes from.

Let’s say you have the cure for cancer, but you sell it as a multivitamin — you’re probably not going to get the recognition you deserve, and consumers will never see the true value of it. On the other hand, imagine selling a multivitamin and marketing it as a cure for cancer. It might sound like a good product, but it’s far from it.

The point is, measuring and comparing the claims and reality of the product is important when deciding whether it’s worth your money or not. With that being said, let’s take a look at the claims made by Omega Power Creamer:

  • Blendable Keto & Paleo Coffee Creamer
  • Refrigeration Not Necessary
  • Sugar-free, Lactose-free, Casein-free, Gluten-free, Carb-free, Sweetener-free
  • Great taste, boost of energy
  • Eliminate sugar, increase healthy and functional fats

Omega Power Creamer is supposed to be easy to use and can either be blended or frothed into your morning cup of joe — or even a smoothie. Without needing refrigeration, you can take this with you anywhere.

Power Creamer Ingredients

Now that we’ve taken a good look at the science behind Omega Power Creamer, as well as what they market it as, it’s time to get a look at the ingredients behind the claims!

The good news is they keep it simple and only include three ingredients — grass-fed ghee, coconut oil, and MCT oil. We’ve already mentioned two of those briefly, and you’ve likely never heard of the other one, but we’ll break them down one-by-one below.

Get that drum roll ready because this is where we find out just how good this coffee creamer is!

Omega PowerCreamer Nutrition Facts

Grass-Fed Ghee

Mostly found in Asian cooking, ghee is a butter-alternative made from a cow’s milk. It’s produced by melting regular butter into liquid fats and milk solids. When you remove the milk solids from the butter, it becomes clarified butter.

Ghee is a form of clarified butter that is melted much longer than other forms of clarified butter. By cooking it longer, it contributes to the ghee’s unique taste and color. It is generally a good alternative to butter for those that don’t process dairy products well — due to the absence of milk proteins.

In addition to that, it is known to contain healthy amounts of Vitamin E, Vitamin A, and Vitamin K — while almost all of the calories come from fat.

Coconut Oil

We’ve briefly mentioned coconut oil already. It contains a combination of fatty acids and is known as a saturated fat. The extra virgin coconut oil found in Omega Power Creamer is organic and utilizes the coconut meat, not the copra.

One of the benefits of coconut oil you won’t find in other natural oils is the presence of MCTs. In addition to that, it can also help prevent heart disease, improve the ability to burn fat, antibacterial benefits due to lauric acid, reduce hunger, and protect your skin.

Nearly half of the MCTs found in coconut oil are lauric acid.

Another ingredient we’ve mentioned already, MCT oil is generally extracted from coconut oil. While coconut oil will mostly contain lauric acid, MCT oil will generally extract the caprylic and capric acid from the coconut oil. This is likely why Omega Power Creamer utilized both MCT oil and coconut oil into their product.

MCT oil comes with various benefits, including suppressing hunger (thanks to peptide YY and lecithin), aiding weight loss, providing a boost of mental and physical energy, improving exercise performance, and helping fight bacteria.

You’ll want to manage your intake, however, because too much can lead to altered effects.

Power Creamer Dosage, Packaging, And Pricing

Omega Power Creamer comes in your typical creamer-type bottle, though I must say Coffee-Mate bottles are more appealing. Considering you wouldn’t necessarily want to walk around with a Coffee-Mate bottle in your purse or car, this bottle works too.

Looking at the nutrition label, this is what you’ll find (original blend):

  • Calories: 120
  • Total Fat: 14g
  • Saturated Fat: 10g
  • Cholesterol: 10mg
  • Sodium: 0mg
  • Carbs: 0mg
  • Protein: 0mg

Everything you need to know is right on the front of the bottle. Made with ghee, coconut oil, MCT oil, 20 servings, keto-friendly, and the flavor are listed loud and clear. Each flavor comes with its own color as well — available in Original Blend, French Vanilla, Salted Caramel, Cinnamon Roll, Pumpkin Spice, Natural Cacao, and Peppermint Mocha.

Omega Power Creamer Pros vs. Cons

Every supplement has its own unique pros and cons, so it’s important to be honest when listing them out. It’s the only way a consumer can make an easy and informed decision.

We’ve discovered a lot of good things about Omega Power Creamer, but there are also some things you might want to consider before purchasing. Overall, you can regard this as generally safe.

  • Coconut oil contains a good amount of lauric acid (kills bacteria, fungi, and viruses)
  • MCT oil contains a good amount of capric and caprylic acid
  • Great for those on a Keto diet
  • Boosts your energy and improves digestion
  • Can be taken with you on the go
  • Not too expensive, unless you use a lot of it in one serving (which you shouldn’t)
  • Comes in a wide range of flavors that many people will love
  • Sugar-free, Lactose-free, Casein-free, Gluten-free, Carb-free, Sweetener-free

  • You have to be willing to give up your traditional tasting coffee once per day
  • Some people say the flavor isn’t very potent
  • Make sure you follow the correct dosage and only take one per day
  • Most people likely won’t make this a daily habit and will go back to their original routine

Claims vs. Reality

Earlier in this review, we went over the claims that were made regarding Omega Power Creamer. To summarize, they designed the coffee creamer to add high-quality fats without the use of carbohydrates or sugar. They also wanted to provide an extra energy boost and add to the flavor of your coffee.

Looking through the ingredients, they’ve done that. Since all fats are going to contain a variety of healthy and unhealthy fatty acids, it’s going to be difficult to find a healthy balance each and every day. With Omega Power Creamer, you can become closer to achieving that.

I might see this work much better as a smoothie additive, though. Most people aren’t looking to swap out their creamer, and those that are will have a variety of other options to choose from. I also feel like a lot of consumers would purchase their product solely for the flavors — which isn’t a bad thing.

Overall, this is a good alternative to your typical coffee creamer — if you’re looking for one. If you’re not, try using it in your smoothie to help you increase the amount of healthy fats in your system. Just be careful if you’re not on a keto diet because a majority of those MCTs might be stored as fat instead of used for energy.

Omega Power Creamer Alternatives

There are a variety of coffee additives that are focused on MCTs, but Omega Power Creamer is one of the very few that come in that liquid form we’re all used to in a creamer. While that puts it in a league of its own, there are still plenty of good options out there.

HVMN, the creator of HVMN Nootrobox, has a powder formula that can be added to just about anything — including coffee. It contains a large amount of C8 MCT (caprylic acid), but will only contain half the amount of fat as Omega. Still, it contains zero sugar and is keto-friendly.

The versatility as a powder makes it much more practical than Omega, and it will also contain a variety of flavors.

If you’re looking for a more keto-specific additive to coffee, Perfect Keto has a powder formula that utilizes exogenous BHB ketones and electrolytes. It promotes ketosis and comes in a variety of flavors to give your coffee that extra kick.

Outside of keto-based coffee additives, mushrooms, like products such as Four Sigmatic Ground Mushroom Coffee, are another huge competitor right now — as well as nootropic supplements — in the coffee industry. While Omega Power Creamer is unique, it’s still going to be tough to make a mark in the always-evolving industry.

Final Verdict For Omega Power Creamer

The coffee industry is a difficult one to survive in. With the wide range of different products and supplements designed to better our morning cup of joe, many consumers will settle in on one and stick with it.

If you’re looking for a healthy alternative to your typical coffee creamer while maintaining your Keto diet, Omega Power Creamer is the perfect creamer for you. If you’re looking to get away from creamer all together, but still receive the benefits and taste — you have plenty of options to choose from, and powder is likely the way to go.

We say give Power Creamer a try because you very well might enjoy it. In the event you don’t like it, it won’t damage you physically or financially.
