HVMN Yawn is a sleep supplement that aims to help you get the restful night’s sleep you deserve. Is it worth the price? Can it really provide the rest you need? In this HVMN Yawn review, we’ll answer those questions, and more so you can find out if this sleep supplement is worth the purchase.

Rather than masking the true issues, Yawn includes ingredients that are designed to naturally support the key factors of healthy sleep. Put simply, HVMN Yawn is designed to help your body restore its ability to get a great night’s rest.

The key ingredients in HVMN Yawn are designed to improve many aspects of sleep. Specifically, it is advertised to reduce the time it takes to fall asleep (sleep latency), improve sleep efficiency and sleep quality, and decrease stress.

Decreased Sleep Latency

HVMN Yawn says that the inclusion of melatonin will help to reduce the time it takes to fall asleep. It also includes ingredients designed to promote a calmer state, such as theanine and magnesium, which could help turn the mind off sooner. 

Improved Sleep Efficiency and Quality

Natural ingredients in HVMN Yawn are also designed to support the body’s natural sleep processes, which are supposed to lead to improved sleep quality and more energy and performance the next day. Key ingredients here include melatonin and glycine. 

Stress Reduction

HVMN Yawn has a few ingredients purported to reduce stress and anxiety, such as magnesium glycinate and theanine. In turn, decreased stress and anxiety could improve sleep quality too.

But will HVMN Yawn actually lead you to a better night’s sleep? Let’s take a look!

HVMN Yawn Ingredients

HVMN Yawn comes in capsule form. Below are the key ingredients found in HVMN Yawn’s formula at the 1 capsule serving size:

  • Magnesium Glycinate (250mg)
  • L-Glycine (500mg)
  • L-Theanine (100mg)
  • Melatonin (1mg)

A short list of ingredients, but what it lacks in quantity it makes up for in quality. Now, let’s get to them.

Magnesium Glycinate

The first ingredient in HVMN Yawn is magnesium glycinate, which is a chelated form of this all-important mineral. Magnesium has a number of roles related to sleep, a lot of which have to do with its ability to reduce stress and promote sleep quality. Magnesium can increase GABA levels in the brain, which is important for relaxation and overall sleep quality. Additionally, magnesium is needed for healthy cortisol levels and to reduce stress, which further benefits sleep. Magnesium deficiencies are tightly related to sleep disorders, and many people are unfortunately deficient in magnesium today. 

Unsurprisingly, magnesium supplementation can improve total sleep time and decrease the time it takes to fall asleep. Ultimately, there needs to be more research to be fully confident, but the initial research is very promising in magnesium’s ability to reduce stress and improve sleep quality. There is no clear dose but given that most people don’t even reach the RDI of around 400mg per day, supplementing with at least 200mg is beneficial, up to 2 grams depending on health status. 

L-Glycine

Up next is glycine, which is both an amino acid and a neurotransmitter. Glycine acts as one of the major inhibitory neurotransmitters in the central nervous system (CNS), which makes it necessary for winding down, essentially. Exogenous glycine from supplements is able to cross the blood-brain barrier and act on the CNS, where it has calming and sleep-promoting effects. It also lowers body temperature, which is a key mechanism in sleep onset. Research has shown that glycine supplementation improves sleep quality in people with insomnia, and it also can improve next-day energy levels. The typical effective dosage is around 3g per day. 

L-Theanine

Another amino acid included in HVMN Yawn is l-theanine. It also has calming properties and can help to reduce stress. Theanine can increase alpha wave production in the brain, which is associated with calmness, and it also can increase GABA as well as serotonin and dopamine, all of which can improve mood and may increase relaxation. Overall, research shows that theanine is effective for promoting higher sleep quality predominantly through its anxiolytic (anxiety-reducing) effects. 200mg per day is the most common effective dose. 

Melatonin

The last, but certainly not least, ingredient in HVMN Yawn is melatonin. Melatonin is a hormone produced naturally by the body and is a key regulator of the sleep-wake cycle and circadian rhythms in general. Essentially, it helps the body sleep when it’s supposed to (during the night when its dark), but modern life can disrupt this hormone. Thankfully, research shows that melatonin supplementation can decrease sleep latency, increase total sleep time, and improve sleep quality. Plus, research shows that it’s non-habit-forming and poses few side effects compared to pharmacological treatments. Anywhere from 0.5 to 5mg appears to be safe and effective. 

Does HVMN Yawn Work?

Overall, it is likely that HVMN Yawn will be a pretty effective sleep supplement. While it only contains four ingredients, they are all very well-researched and proven to improve a number of aspects of sleep. Even on their own, magnesium glycinate, glycine, theanine, and melatonin can increase sleep quality and quantity and decrease the time it takes to fall asleep. But the effects, when taken together, are likely even better. 

However, some of the ingredients aren’t at the optimal dosages. Specifically, there is only 500mg of glycine in this product as opposed to the ideal amount of 3g, so it’s quite a bit lower than what’s optimal. Also, there is only 100mg of theanine as opposed to the more effective dose of 200mg; not quite as big of a difference as there is with glycine, but it’s still lower than what’s optimal. 

As a whole, though, the pros weigh out the cons, and this HVMN Yawn will likely improve your sleep.

Claims vs. Reality

Based on the ingredients, HVMN Yawn should be able to decrease sleep latency, improve sleep quality, and decrease stress, so it can stand by its claims. However, it’s important to note the degree to which these effects will occur. 

It is likely that HVMN Yawn will help you fall asleep a little bit faster, maybe by around 10 minutes or so, based on research. 

Also, this product should help to decrease nighttime awakenings and promote feelings of calmness and relaxation, which also should lead to a more restorative night’s sleep. 

With that being said, this product is certainly not a cure for severe insomnia or other longstanding sleep problems. It should definitely help, but I wouldn’t expect it to magically erase all of your sleep problems. 

Some people may need to combine this product with other supplements, lifestyle implements, and/or pharmaceuticals to fully address their issues. And another thing to consider is that some people may require more than one serving of HVMN Yawn if they have more moderate to severe problems. 

Who is HVMN Yawn Best For?

With all of this being said, HVMN Yawn is best for people who struggle a little bit to get a good night’s rest and want to improve their overall sleep quality and nighttime rejuvenation. With its somewhat modest dosages, it’s likely not ideal for anyone with severe problems but rather people dealing with mild to moderate stress and sleep issues. (Severe cases could potentially just use more than one serving, but it’s unclear how this will affect the user). So, if you’re someone like this, HVMN Yawn is a strong candidate to help you sleep better.

The ingredients in HVMN Yawn are pretty safe overall, but here are some possible side effects:

  • Diarrhea, nausea, stomach upset, and related symptoms
  • Headache and dizziness
  • Sleepiness/drowsiness
  • Short-term agitation, irritability, anxiety, and depression 

Also, HVMN says that implement a robust scientific validation process for the effectiveness, legality, and safety of their products. All ingredients are vegan, gluten-free, and free from all major allergens. Additionally, the ingredients in here are FDA Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) and allowed under all athletic body guidelines, including the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
