Amare FundaMentals Pack combines not one, not two, but three distinct products from Amare Global. The company’s mission centers on the gut-brain connection, as emerging research increasingly demonstrates that mental health may correlate with gut health. Amare Global operates through a multi-level marketing business model while also selling directly to consumers via their website. Founded in 2017 by business and tech professionals alongside a Ph.D. scientist, the FundaMentals Pack includes MentaFocus, MentaBiotics, and MentaSYNC.

Amare FundaMentals Pack Benefits

Promote a Healthy Gut
Through probiotics, prebiotics, and natural antimicrobial agents, this pack has the potential to enhance your gut microbiome. Each product within the FundaMentals Pack targets different aspects of the gut-brain connection.
Supports the Growth and Vitality of a Range of Beneficial Gut Bacteria
Though somewhat redundant, Amare emphasizes their product’s effects on gut health. The three products in the FundaMentals Pack are designed to eliminate potentially harmful bacteria while encouraging beneficial bacterial growth.
Connects the Gut and Brain to Enhance the Communication between Both Brains
This represents a fairly vague claim. It suggests the FundaMentals pack will enhance the gut-brain axis by fostering a healthy microbiome. A healthy microbiome facilitates more efficient communication between these two systems.
Boost in Cognitive Function and Clarity
Like many nootropics, including BrainZyme and NeuroGum, Amare claims to enhance cognitive function and mental clarity. This connects to the “healthy gut” benefit Amare reports from the FundaMentals Pack. Since an unhealthy gut has been linked to various mental health disorders, Amare believes that improving gut function will subsequently enhance mental function.
Improves Psychological Vigor (physical energy, mental acuity, and emotional well-being)
Amare continues emphasizing the mental benefits they believe FundaMentals will deliver by rewording a previous benefit. This essentially describes the two above benefits differently. However, it’s confusing that they mention physical energy when discussing “psychological vigor.”
Ingredients Shown to Improve Mood and Reduce Tension in Human Clinical Trials
At first glance, this claim might suggest Amare has conducted clinical trials on the FundaMentals Pack (or at least some products). However, this simply means the ingredients within their FundaMentals Pack have been researched in human clinical trials. While certainly true, this claim may mislead casual browsers of their products.
Ingredients

MentaBiotics

Fiber
MentaBiotics utilizes a blend of patented prebiotic fibers, including Iso-Fiber, BiMuno, and Sun Fiber, which are iso-malto-oligosaccharide, galactooligosaccharides, and galactomannan respectively. Prebiotic fibers differ from common fiber like psyllium husk found in Metamucil through their specificity. While fiber generally serves as food for gut bacteria, prebiotic fibers exclusively nourish beneficial bacteria. Common fiber like psyllium husk can feed both good and bad bacteria. Consequently, clinicians highly value prebiotics when improving a patient’s microbiome.

Check Out Our TOP RATED Superfood Supplement Our team has reviewed hundreds of popular supplements - this is our favorite superfood supplement.Click here to learn moreMentaBiotics uses some of the highest quality prebiotics available. Each prebiotic comes from well-established manufacturers, enhancing their credibility. However, MentaBiotics contains only 5.38g of these prebiotic fibers, while much research examining prebiotic benefits uses doses around 10-20g. Current understanding suggests people should consume approximately 15g of fiber per 1000 calories daily. This means those eating the recommended 2000 calories per day should ideally consume 30g of fiber.
Probiotics
MentaBiotics includes three well-researched probiotic strains: Lactobacillus helveticus R0052, Bifidobacterium longum R0175, and Lactobacillus rhamnosus R0011 have undergone clinical research both individually and in combination with other probiotics. Most companies don’t list exact strains in their products. Without knowing the specific strain (noted by R**** for example), determining their benefits becomes impossible.
Unfortunately, research shows that when these probiotics are dosed around 1 billion colony forming units (CFU)—a measure of bacteria per serving—little to no health benefits occurred. MentaBiotics’ probiotic combination contains 3 billion CFU. Since MentaBiotics combines probiotics with other ingredients, these organisms’ viability becomes questionable. Research demonstrates that when probiotics mix with other ingredients like plant extracts, bacteria often die before reaching consumers, rendering them useless. While Amare Global may have mastered stability testing and taken necessary precautions, there’s no way to confirm this. Currently, consuming probiotics as standalone products rather than combined with other ingredients remains best practice.
Phytobiotic Proprietary Blend
L-Theanine (Suntheanine)
Theanine is an amino acid commonly found in nootropic supplements like Nooflow and green tea. It promotes calm focus, explaining why green tea contains caffeine without causing jitters. Theanine serves as a mood enhancer by interacting with neurotransmitters GABA and serotonin. By enhancing GABA and serotonin, theanine supports multiple mental health areas including anxiety, depression, attention, and sleep. Suntheanine is a trademarked theanine form. Using well-known ingredients like Suntheanine enhances formulation credibility. However, theanine appears in a proprietary blend totaling only 75mg, probably too low for noticeable effects. Most single doses are around 250mg.
Asian Apple Fruit Extract (ApplePhenon) also found in MentaFocus
This extract is a registered product that demonstrates Amare’s ingredient selection integrity. ApplePhenon is a high-potency polyphenol extract from Asian Apple Pear. These polyphenols possess tremendous antioxidant capacity and antimicrobial properties, meaning they can potentially kill bacteria. While this sounds beneficial when trying to eliminate bad gut bacteria, including this alongside beneficial bacteria (probiotics) isn’t advisable. This likely negatively impacts the number of living organisms in the powder.
French Grape Seed Extract (Enovita) also found in MentaFocus
Envitoa is another standardized ingredient Amare uses. Grape seed extracts contain high concentrations of procyanidins and other polyphenols. Consequently, Enovita has shown improvements in blood pressure among hypertensive patients. Enovita also benefits the gut through these same compounds. While Enovita appears dosed around 300mg, the MentaBiotic product contains it in a proprietary blend totaling only 75mg.
New Zealand Pine Bark Extract (Enzogenol) also found in MentaFocus
Enzogenol doses—a standardized New Zealand Pine Bark extract—at 480mg have shown cardiovascular risk reduction. A pig study also demonstrated that these procyanidins can beneficially impact gut bacteria. Researchers gave pigs approximately 250mg/kg of bodyweight, far exceeding what MentaBiotic provides. Again, this ingredient works partly by killing bacteria, making its inclusion alongside probiotics questionable.
Digestive Performance Blend
L-Glutamine
Glutamine often helps people suffering from intestinal inflammation and increased permeability. Intestinal permeability refers to how easily food, bacteria, and toxins can cross from intestines into the bloodstream. Greater permeability correlates with worse health outcomes. L-glutamine is an amino acid that helps maintain healthy intestinal permeability, thereby reducing inflammation. L-glutamine doses often exceed 2.5g for gut health benefits. This product contains considerably less than 160mg of L-glutamine.
Artichoke Leaf Extract.
Artichoke leaf functions as a choleretic, meaning it can increase bile production in the liver. Bile helps break down and absorb fat and fat-soluble vitamins while providing a pathway to eliminate excess cholesterol. Common Artichoke Leaf Extract doses are at least 300mg. MentaBiotic doesn’t reach this threshold.
Ginger Root Extract
Ginger has long been used to combat nausea and vomiting. Ginger’s active components are called rhizomes, which may help reduce inflammation and heal the gut. However, the recommended ginger dose appears to be at least 300mg daily. MentaBiotics includes ginger in a proprietary formula totaling only 160mg.
MentaFocus

Focus Empowering Proprietary Blend
Pomegranate Extract
Pomegranates are rich in antioxidants believed responsible for boosting brain blood flow. Most studies examined pomegranate juice rather than pomegranate supplements.

Rosemary Leaf Extract
Rosemary extends far beyond the Italian herb in your cabinet. It’s packed with phenols and terpenes that possess tremendous antioxidant capacity alongside antimicrobial abilities, functioning as a natural antibiotic. Some evidence suggests rosemary components can also support brain function, primarily by reducing free radicals and brain inflammation.
Oregano Leaves
Oregano is another herb rich in free radical-fighting antioxidants. By reducing these free radicals and inflammation, some scientists view oregano as a viable option for improving brain function, though they primarily study diseased brains like dementia.
Clove Flower Buds
Mouse studies show clove oil can improve brain function. Researchers demonstrated that clove, dosed at 0.3mg/kg, enhanced antioxidant capacity, learning, and memory.
Sage Leaf Extract
Sage contains several essential oils. The diterpenes and triterpenes—including carnosic acid, urolic acid, carnosol, and tanshinones—appear responsible for sage’s benefits. These compounds have shown ability to reduce waste buildup in brains associated with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Tulsi Leaf Extract
Tulsi is also known as Holy basil. This plant is considered an adaptogen that modulates our stress response, particularly helping control cortisol levels. High cortisol levels are actually neurotoxic, making stress response system control crucial.
MentaSYNC

Alpha-Beta Glucan Proprietary Blend
1,3/1,6 Beta-Glucan (Wellmune)
Beta-glucans comprise yeast cell walls. Wellmune is a patented 1,3/1,6 beta-glucan form from Saccharomyces cerevisiae. This unique form has significantly reduced infection risk in people under stress. One study showed firefighters taking Wellmune reduced their upper respiratory tract infection risk by nearly 25%.
MycoFusions [Maitake, Shiitake, Agaricus, Chaga]
Mycofusions is a patented mushroom blend. Like beta-glucans, alpha-glucans can produce strong immunomodulatory effects. Consequently, people who supplement or regularly consume alpha-glucan-rich foods have lower inflammation levels and markers associated with cancer.
FucoMax Fucoidan Seaweed
FucoMax is a patented fucoidan seaweed extract. Fucoidan has shown ability to improve insulin sensitivity and stabilize blood sugar, while also displaying antibacterial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticoagulant, and antitumor effects.
Intestinal Integrity Proprietary Blend
Calcium Butyrate & Magnesium Butyrate
While these are different ingredients, the primary benefit derives from butyrate. Butyrate is a short-chain fatty acid and major fuel source that can accelerate gut healing and recovery by improving tight junction function.
Zinc/Carnosine Complex
Zinc carnosine works well alongside butyrate supplements because zinc carnosine improves cell growth and migration. Zinc appears in many nootropic supplements, such as Thrivous Clarity. Supplementing with approximately 40mg of zinc carnosine twice daily can help reduce intestinal permeability.
Does Amare FundaMentals Pack Work?

This three-product combination includes some of the top patented ingredients in the supplement industry. Regarding ingredient selection, Amare avoided choosing the cheapest raw materials. Each ingredient in their proprietary blends has substantial research supporting clinical efficacy. Unfortunately, every single ingredient is underdosed. Additionally, their combinations are counterintuitive. The biggest issue lies in MentaBiotics, where Amare utilized high-quality probiotic strains (already underdosed) and combined them with antibacterial herbs, further reducing product efficacy.
Claims vs. Reality
Amare genuinely uses some of the best ingredients in the supplement industry. However, due to their dosing and manufacturing practices, this product offers minimal serious gut-brain support. The three-product FundaMentals Pack combination may provide some relief for people with mild-to-moderate gut issues. However, these products should only be used short-term, for 1-3 months. Despite ingredient underdosing, long-term use of the various antimicrobial/antibacterial compounds found in these products isn’t advisable.
Safety

Long-term use exceeding 6 months is probably inadvisable. The antimicrobial agents may cause more harm than good with extended use. Additionally, antimicrobial agents can trigger a Herxheimer reaction—the result of bacterial die-off in the gut overwhelming the immune system. While very rare, this is something to consider when taking these product types.
