About GOGO Gummies

GOGO is a gummy-based prebiotic fiber supplement created by FLO Vitamins/O Positiv. FLO is a well-known health and wellness company that has taken the gummy supplement world by storm. In addition to GOGO, FLO has also produced a variety of additional gummy products, including RETRO Gummies, DISCO Gummies, FLO GTFO Gummies, and FLO PMS Gummies.

GOGO Gummies are designed to optimize your gut and digestive health. It is highlighted by fiber from chicory root, but it also includes other plant-based ingredients for flavor. In fact, these gummies come in an orange sorbet flavor, so you don’t have to worry about gagging down any nasty fiber supplement anymore.

GOGO Gummies Benefits

As a fiber supplement, GOGO is designed to help you “go” more smoothly. In addition to its benefits for constipation, GOGO Gummies are also designed to support an overall healthy digestive system while also keeping you fuller, for longer, thus aiding in maintaining a healthy weight.

All of these benefits are attributed to the chicory root fiber, which they say has many research-backed benefits for gut health. But are the GOGO fiber gummies really worth purchasing if you have gut health issues? Let’s find out.

GOGO Gummies Ingredients

There is really only one main active ingredient in GOGO Gummies, but below are all the ingredients included in each serving (2 gummies):

  • Chicory root fiber
  • Other ingredients: organic cane sugar, annatto extract, citric acid, carnauba wax, coconut oil, corn starch, natural flavors, pectin, sodium citrate

In each serving of GOGO Gummies, there are 15 calories, 5 grams of carbs, 3 grams of fiber, and 2 grams of sugar, including 1 gram of added sugar.

Chicory Root Fiber

The primary ingredient in these gummies is chicory root fiber. Chicory root is rich in a prebiotic fiber called inulin, which helps to promote the growth of good bacteria in the gut and therefore optimize digestion and gut health.

Current research shows that inulin and other similar prebiotic fibers are able to promote the growth of Bifidobacterium, lactobacillus, and other probiotic bacteria.

Plus, chicory root fiber and other similar fibers are known to improve intestinal barrier function, reduce constipation, promote satiety, and even increase insulin sensitivity, enhance nutrient absorption, decrease triglyceride levels, and improve lipid profiles. Talk about some benefits that most people in today’s world could use!

Basically, chicory root fiber is a solid choice for enhancing gut and digestive health, as well as some cardiovascular and metabolic markers too.

Most of the studies use at least 2.5g of fiber per day, sometimes up to 50g per day.

Other Ingredients

I also want to briefly mention the other ingredients. There is carnauba wax, corn starch, and annatto extract, likely all used for the gummy itself and for coloring. Then there’s organic cane sugar, natural flavors, and coconut oil, all likely for sweetness and flavoring. And pectin is used as a preservative.

Overall, these ingredients are nothing to worry about, which is good because sometimes gummies can have highly synthetic and unnatural ingredients.

Do GOGO Gummies Work?

GOGO Gummies should definitely help to improve your gut and digestive health and may even increase satiety. The chicory root fiber in these gummies is known to increase good bacteria while also enhancing digestion, absorption, gut barrier function, and other benefits, so you should see improvements in gut health. It seems particularly beneficial for constipation and “leaky gut syndrome.”

Ideally, we’d like to see it combined with probiotics and other ingredients known to maximize gut health. But this is a solid supplement nonetheless.

Claims vs. Reality

All in all, GOGO Gummies should be able to aid constipation, support gut and digestive health, and even keep you fuller for longer, so their claims can be stood by.

However, I’d be cautious about expecting any significant weight loss changes from this product. Sure, fiber can help keep you full, but it likely won’t lead to very significant weight loss. But it could help a bit. Just be realistic with your expectations going in.

Also, you are told to start taking one gummy for two days and then move to two gummies per day (3 total grams of fiber). And the makers say you can increase up to 4 gummies per day if you aren’t experiencing the results you want, so this would be 6 grams of fiber in total.

Who are GOGO Gummies Best For?

GOGO is best for people struggling with constipation and other gut health issues.

If you struggle to get enough fiber in your daily diet and often have digestive issues, GOGO Gummies could help you out. And it might help a little bit with hunger too, so if you have trouble controlling your hunger, you might consider these gummies.

Are GOGO Gummies Safe?

GOGO Gummies should be safe for most people. The only possible side effects are slight upset stomach and related symptoms, such as bloating, gas, and diarrhea, mainly if you’re not used to taking in fiber. These effects should disappear after a few days, if they do occur at all.

Also, consult your physician if you have inulin, ragweed, or birch pollen allergies.

GOGO is vegan-friendly, gluten-free, non-GMO, and cruelty-free. Plus, these gummies are manufactured in a GMP-certified facility and are 3rd-party tested.
