Promix Protein Powder Review

If you’ve searched for a protein powder for any length of time, you’ve probably noticed that there are many different types of protein powders to choose from.

In fact, many supplement companies offer multiple protein supplements to give users a wide range of options depending on their needs.

Well, one company called Promix Nutrition is yet another brand that offers a line-up of different protein supplements. In this article, we’re going to go over the main features of each protein supplement that Promix offers, and also look at overall considerations such as brand quality, the doses used, safety, and how they compare to other protein supplements.

Things to Consider

  • Promix offers a wide variety of protein supplements to suit individuals’ needs
  • They have isolate, concentrate, casein, vegan protein, and a recovery formula
  • We can tell they took the time to pick high-quality sources for their ingredients, such as grass-fed whey & casein, and organic pea protein
  • There’s a pretty large price range for each product due to the bulk options and subscription pricing
  • All of the Promix protein supplements don’t contain any artificial ingredients and seem to be geared toward those who are particularly health-conscious

About Promix Protein Powder

Promix Protein Powder is made and produced by Promix Nutrition, the same maker as Promix Raw Liver Capsules and Promix Pre-Workout. One interesting part of this supplement is it’s not just one supplement, Promix Nutrition offers several different protein powders, including:

  • Whey Protein Powder
  • Whey Isolate Protein Powder
  • Vegan Protein Powder
  • Recovery Protein
  • Casein Protein Powder
Promix Protein Powder

All of these protein powders contain solid amounts of protein per serving. Specifically, you get anywhere from 25 to 30g per serving depending on the exact product.

On top of that, all of Promix Nutrition protein powders are independently tested for purity and potency. And they never use any artificial ingredients. So, all of the ingredients for flavor, sweetness, etc. are all-natural.

Promix also uses high-quality sources for their protein, such as whey from grass-fed cows; organic yellow pea protein;  and pasture-raised casein.

Benefits of Promix Protein Powder

While the line of Promix Protein Powders are all different, they offer the same general benefits, which are:

  • Improved Recovery
  • Muscle Growth Support

These benefits are due to the high protein content, which provides essential amino acids (including BCAAs) that stimulate muscle protein synthesis and reduce muscle breakdown.

This can kickstart recovery and help you get bigger and stronger when paired with strength training.

Not to mention adding in a high-quality protein powder can make it easy to hit your daily protein requirements, especially if you aren’t a big eater in general or simply demand a lot of protein daily.

In the next sections, we’ll take a look at the unique aspects of each protein supplement and analyze which supplements are best for each individual.

Whey Protein Powder

Promix Whey Protein Powder is featured by grass-fed whey protein concentrate. This is a medium-digesting protein source and a great way to get in high amounts of BCAAs and other essential amino acids that support muscle growth and recovery.

Promix Whey Protein Powder

This formula has 25g of protein per serving and, depending on the flavor, up to 10g of carbs and 3.5g of fat.

Ultimately, Promix Whey Protein Powder is good for all-around use whenever you need a boost.

Whey Protein Isolate Powder

Promix Nutrition Whey Protein Isolate Powder contains grass-fed whey isolate, which is digested and absorbed faster when whey concentrate, while providing the same amino acid profile.

Promix Whey Protein Isolate Powder

This formula has 30g of protein, and it also is microfiltered to deliver less than 1g of lactose per serving. Therefore, it may be a better choice for lactose-sensitive individuals.

Additionally, whey protein isolate may have slight benefits over concentrate when used post-workout due to its rapid absorption.

Vegan Protein Powder

Promix Vegan Protein Powder is made with organic yellow pea protein isolate. This is a good choice since pea protein is one of the most bioavailable plant proteins out there.

Promix Vegan Protein Powder

Each serving contains 25g of protein. And Promix Vegan Protein also has vitamin B12 (in bioactive methylcobolamin form) which is a smart add-in since many vegans are at a higher risk of vitamin B12 deficiency compared to standard dieters.

Overall, this formula is a good choice for people who want a vegan or plant-based protein powder.

Recovery Protein

Promix Nutrition Recovery Protein is a carbohydrate and protein formula with additional supportive ingredients.

Promix Recovery Protein

This supplement contains 30g of grass-fed whey protein, 60g of carbohydrates from organic cassava dextrose and maltodextrin, as well as l-glutamine.

Ultimately, this combo of ingredients makes Recovery Protein a great formula to use post-workout, since it may help to enhance muscle protein synthesis, replenish glycogen stores, and kickstart overall recovery and repair.

Due to the higher calorie content, it’s best for people looking to pack on muscle mass.

Casein Protein Powder

The last formula in the Promix line is Casein Protein Powder, which has pasture-raised micellar casein. This is a slower-digesting protein source often used by those who want a steady, longer stream of amino acids.

Promix Casein Protein Powder

Each serving provides 25g of protein and no more than 1g of fat and 6g of carbs. Additionally, it’s micro filtered to remove most of the lactose for easier digestion.

Altogether, Promix Casein Protein Powder is best for those who want a slow-release protein, such as when taken before bed or during the day when you aren’t able to eat for a while.

Does Promix Protein Powder Work?

Promix Nutrition definitely has a good line-up of protein powders that all seem to support muscle growth and recovery.

You get 25 to 30g of protein per serving which is right in line with what’s typically needed for boosting muscle protein synthesis and helping you reach your daily protein requirements.

Plus, all ingredients are definitely high-quality and provide the essential amino acids your muscles need for proper fuel and repair.

How Does Promix Protein Powder Compare to Others?

In general, Promix protein powders are some of the best out there given the quality of the ingredients, no added nonsense, and optimal dosage.

Their supplements are also pretty affordably-priced, with a range from $0.79 to $1.64 per serving (for all except the Recovery product) depending on what product you get and if you do a one-time purchase or subscription.

Yet, the Recovery Protein is much more expensive at over $6 per serving.

But if you take away that outlier, the rest of Promix’s protein supplements are in a reasonable range that we’d expect to see.

Promix also takes the time to source organic ingredients when possible and also includes quality protein sources like grass-fed whey, pasture-raised casein, and organic yellow pea.

Who is Promix Protein Best For?

In general, Promix Nutrition offers a good selection of protein powders that are likely beneficial for anyone looking to add in more protein in their diet and/or support muscle growth and recovery.

Each one has a particular best use, though. And this is how we’d sum it up:

  • Whey Protein Powder: Best for all-around use
  • Whey Protein Isolate Powder: Best for immediate post-workout
  • Vegan Protein Powder: Best for vegans and plant-based dieters
  • Recovery Protein: Best for building muscle mass and boosting recovery
  • Casein Protein: Best for before bed or for slow-release use
