ZenWell

About ZenWell

ZenWell is formulated and made by well-known supplement company Live Conscious (also formerly known as LievWell). In addition to ZenWell, Live Conscious has produced a variety of supplement options, many of which we have previously reviewed.

Other Live Conscious Reviews:

ZenWell is advertised as an everyday stress reducer to help you achieve greater peace and mental wellness. It is featured by a combination of two trademarked ingredients, KSM-66 ashwagandha and AlphaWave L-Theanine, which they say are the most well-researched forms out there.

With these two at the helm, the ZenWell formula is designed to put you into a monk-like state of relaxation, along with other benefits such as focus and mental clarity.

All it takes is just two easy-to-swallow capsules per day. And it’s designed to be non-habit forming so you can take it as long as needed.

ZenWell Benefits

ZenWell is advertised to deliver three main benefits:

  • Stress Reduction
  • Enhanced Mental Clarity
  • Boosted Focus & Concentration
ZenWell Benefits

Stress Reduction

Our go-go-go culture has created crazy high stress levels and tension. And this can lead to other issues too, especially if stress is left unchecked.

ZenWell claims to reduce stress and overwhelm that are so common today. The potent combination of ashwagandha and l-theanine is designed to reduce stress hormones like cortisol while also putting your brain into a calmer, less anxious state. This can also lead to benefits such as improved sleep and even better immunity.

Enhanced Mental Clarity

Many things in our world can also disrupt mental clarity. After all, there are so many distractions, including the one in your pocket or on the desk in front of you ;).

ZenWell is advertised to enhance mental clarity so you can be in the right state of mind for whatever it is you need to get done. Theanine could give you a boost in key neurotransmitters that enhance mental clarity. And ashwagandha has stress-reducing properties that may indirectly improve mental acuity.

Boosted Focus & Concentration

A lack of focus and concentration leads to worse job efficiency and performance. Not to mention the other disruptions it has on your day-to-day life (not those lost keys and wallet again!).

Live Conscious ZenWell claims to boost focus and concentration, especially with l-theanine, which they say enhances alpha brain waves. This may put you into a state of calm, yet focused awareness, which is ideal for cognitive performance.

Overall, ZenWell claims to be a potent supplement to counter the stresses of our life.

But does it actually work?

Keep reading to find out!

ZenWell Ingredients

ZenWell is a rather basic formula with three active ingredients:

  • KSM-66 Organic Ashwagandha
  • AlphaWave L-Theanine
  • Organic Black Pepper Fruit Extract
ZenWell Supplement Facts

KSM-66 Ashwagandha (600mg)

KSM-66 is a trademarked form of ashwagandha. In fact, it’s one of the most well-researched ashwagandha forms out there.

But what is ashwagandha anyway?

Well, it’s an adaptogenic herb, meaning it helps the body resist stress, physically, mentally, and systemically. Research has shown that the roots of ashwagandha can reduce cortisol (a stress hormone) and boost GABA and other calming brain chemicals. There are a variety of other ways it works in the body too, especially in the central nervous system.

The most well-researched benefits of ashwagandha are decreased stress and anxiety. This includes specific research on KSM-66 for these benefits.

But it can also improve sleep, enhance focus and cognitive function, and benefit athletic performance.

Another brain supplement that uses the KSM-66 form is EarlyBird Morning Cocktail (which also has theanine too!).

AlphaWave L-Theanine (200mg)

AlphaWave is a trademarked form of l-theanine, which is an amino acid found primarily in tea leaves.

L-theanine seems to increase alpha waves in the brain. This is good because these brain waves are associated with a calm, yet alert mental state.

Additionally, theanine can increase GABA, serotonin, and other relaxing, mood-boosting brain chemicals.

So it’s no surprise that research has shown benefits of theanine for stress, anxiety, and sleep problems, as well as improvements in focus, attention, and cognitive function. This includes specific research on AlphaWave that led to increased relaxation during a stressful task.

Black Pepper Fruit Extract (20mg)

Black pepper fruit extract is included mainly as a bioavailability enhancer. It contains a compound piperine which may help the body metabolize and use the other two ingredients more effectively.

Does ZenWell Work?

It seems very likely that ZenWell will work for stress reduction and mental wellness. There are really only two main ingredients. But these are both very well-researched and proven to offer specific benefits for stress and anxiety reduction, focus, relaxation, and cognitive function.

Plus, the doses of both theanine and ashwagandha are at effective levels proven to offer noticeable benefits.

Of course, it’s not a cure, and some people may not notice huge benefits, especially if your anxiety and stress are severe. But for most people, it seems that ZenWell has the potential to provide moderate anti-stress effects as well as moderate improvements in focus and mental clarity.

How Does ZenWell Compare?

ZenWell is one of the more basic anti-stress formulas out there. But basic doesn’t mean bad. And there’s a lot to like because the main ingredients are well-researched, they use proper doses, the label is fully transparent, and their formula doesn’t contain any BS ingredients.

One supplement that is pretty similar to ZenWell is Anxie-T. This product contains theanine and ashwagandha, but also other ingredients such as GABA, magnesium and kava. ZenWell has a much higher dose of ashwagandha though. And both supplements have 200mg of theanine. What’s interesting about Anxie-T is it also has theobromine, which is a mild stimulant.

So, it seems that Anxie-T is better for people who also want a little boost in energy, whereas ZenWell is more specifically for stress reduction and calmness. Anxie-T costs $36.99 regularly while ZenWell is only $24.99 for a one-month supply.

Another supplement designed for stress support and cognition is Apothekary Chill the F* Out. This formula contains a one-two punch of ashwagandha and reishi, which are meant to decrease stress and anxiety, boost mental functioning, and enhance overall wellness. They unfortunately use a proprietary belnd, but it is dosed at 2g, which is pretty high and more likely to contain solid doses of the main ingredients.

Overall, Chill the F* Out is good. But ZenWell’s ingredients have more direct evidence behind them specifically for stress and anxiety support. The regular price is also a bit high at $25.08 for 12 servings, but there are ways to save.

Who is ZenWell Best For?

ZenWell is best for people who want to reduce stress, promote calmness, and boost mental clarity and cognition.

It seems specifically geared towards people who want to better manage stress and avoid the consequences of high stress on brain function and mental well-being.

Below are all of the prices for ZenWell:

So, the price per serving is anywhere from $0.50 to $0.83, which makes ZenWell easily one of the most affordable stress supplements out there. It makes sense that it’s a bit lower given there are only two main ingredients. But even with this in mind, ZenWell definitely seems to give a great deal.

Verdict: ZenWell Review

ZenWell is a simple, yet solid formula for stress management and cognitive support. The combination of trademarked forms of ashwagandha and theanine may very likely reduce stress and anxiety, increase calmness, and enhance overall mental wellness and cognitive function.

What’s more, it’s easily one of the most affordable stress supplements out there. So, if you’re looking for a basic formula to help manage stress and improve mental clarity, ZenWell is likely a great choice.
