LiverWell Review

Live Conscious (formerly LiveWell) is a company where traditional wisdom meets modern science. They have a mission that’s rooted in our bodies, minds, spirits, and communities; and by pledging to fight poverty along with helping the Eden Reforestation Project plant a million trees within the next year, they dedicate themselves to both inner and outer nature.

And when it comes to their high-quality, all-natural supplements, they have a good idea of what they’re doing. You may be familiar with some of their popular supplements, including LiveWell MagWell and LiveWell Collagen, but how does their liver formula stack up? Live Conscious’ liver supplement, LiverWell, is designed to support your healthy metabolism by detoxing it and optimizing its function.

Does it work? Let’s have a look with this in-depth LiverWell review!

LiverWell Supplement

About LiverWell

LiverWell combines plant extracts, amino acids, minerals, and other organic compounds that have been proven beneficial to your liver’s health, all in one convenient capsule. This gives the product a synergistic approach to liver health that starts with the most important part—detox. That’s because, as you may know, your liver is part of your body’s filtration system. This means it can accumulate many of the toxins it removes from the rest of your body—kind of a “no good deed goes unpunished” situation. This can result in oxidative stress and damage to your liver along with other symptoms of an overburdened liver:

  • Acne
  • Low energy
  • Brain fog
  • Poor sleep
  • Gas & bloating
  • Hormone imbalance

Compounds such as milk thistle extract can help reduce oxidative stress and the inflammation it causes, and alpha-lipoic acid adds to this for potent antioxidant protection. The N-Acetyl Cysteine in the product also does its part in helping detoxify your liver with the combined results of helping you feel better, have more energy, clearer skin, reduced risk of illness and disease, and of course, better overall health since your liver is connected to all of you!

LiverWell Benefits

Aids Liver Detoxification and Protection

For the most part, our livers take a beating. This goes for whether-or-not you indulge in too much alcohol, tobacco, or other ingested toxins, or if you just breathe our modern air, which often contains heavy metals and other pollutants.

But you may not even realize the effects of all this until you clean things up, which the detoxicating compounds in LiverWell can help do. This is further bolstered by the potent antioxidants it contains to help protect against oxidative stress.

Remember that by being on the front line of waste removal, your liver gets to deal with direct concentrations of the bad stuff. Contaminants also tend to accumulate over time even when your exposure to them is relatively low, which means using a product like LiverWell is in your best interest despite maybe not feeling the effects of poor liver function.

That’s because, left unchecked, toxins can accumulate over the years to the point you may not even realize how badly they’re affecting you! This makes it worth your while to be proactive with your liver’s health, especially since waiting until you do feel lousy is also a great way to hold the door open for many chronic diseases such as cancer, obesity, and cardiovascular disease.

LiverWell For Liver Detoxification

Supports Healthy Immune Cell Production

Your liver protects you by not only removing toxins but by performing defense against pathogens and disease since it’s host to a rich spectrum of immune cells

But while your liver can mostly regulate and repair itself, heavy inundation of toxins and inflammation can inhibit things to the point your immune health suffers. This is similar to your computer, which may become slow and unreliable due to viruses it accumulates. Though you may have software to mostly prevent this, malware and other “invasive” viruses can still accumulate, leaving your computer with poor performance and risk for worse problems.

But much like a thorough disc cleanup, ridding your liver of toxic buildup also frees it up to keep up with its own rejuvenation, which includes keeping its many immune cells healthy, plentiful, and functioning—something it has trouble doing when it’s otherwise occupied with battling oxidative stress!

Supports a Healthy Metabolism

Your liver plays a large role in the metabolism of energy, which includes breaking down fats, producing bile, and ensuring carbohydrate energy (i.e., glucose) remains constant in the bloodstream. For the latter, it stores excess glucose in the form of glycogen so that when blood sugar levels drop, it can release them to produce energy.

It also changes the amino acids in proteins so that they can produce energy or be converted to carbohydrates or fats.

Altogether, this means your liver is directly related to your body’s energy production, and when it’s functioning as it should, you not only get more energy but a steadier supply of it.

LiverWell Ingredients

LiverWell’s formula includes Siliphos, N-Acetyl Cysteine, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Zinc Glycinate, and Selenium. Below we will take a thorough look at each of these ingredients, their dosages, and what they provide within LiverWell.

LiverWell Supplement Facts

Siliphos 80 mg

Milk thistle—the main ingredient in Siliphos—has been used for centuries to support healthy liver function. That’s because it’s a potent antioxidant that may reduce liver inflammation and prevent damage.

Milk thistle also inhibits the free radicals produced by the oxidative stress of toxic compounds your liver is busy filtering out of your body. This can be from something as seemingly safe as popping an acetaminophen tablet when you have a headache (hint: that headache may also be caused by liver toxins). While this just seems to be the thing to do when you have a headache, acetaminophen—AKA Tylenol—is toxic and produces free radicals in your liver.

But by helping your liver produce hepatic glutathione—an amino acid that acts as a potent antioxidant—milk thistle is able to help protect your liver, which is further aided by the increased performance of a healthy liver which is better able to rid itself of toxins. And, while LiverWell may not include as high a dosage as dedicated milk thistle supplements, such as OmniBiotics Organic Milk Thistle, it still includes a solid amount at 80 mg.

LiverWell Milk Thistle

N-Acetyl Cysteine 800 mg

This “semi-essential” (your body only produces so much of it, so you need more from an outside source) amino acid is directly related to the production of glutathione—your body’s most powerful antioxidant. N-Acetyl Cysteine, or NAC, also plays an important role in your body’s detoxification process, especially in the liver, where it can help prevent the ill effects of environmental toxins and other substances.

For instance, it is given intravenously by doctors in the event of acetaminophen overdose to prevent excessive damage to the liver and kidneys. It’s also used in the treatment of other hepatic diseases, which it may also be able to prevent with its proactive use.

Of course, this doesn’t mean that it’s a good idea to go willy-nilly on the toxins since you’ve got the protection of antioxidants. Instead, a product like this should be used along with careful consideration of what you’re ingesting, where you live, and how healthy your overall lifestyle is.

If, for instance, you whoop it up into the wee hours with plenty of booze and cigarettes before killing the hangover with handfuls of Tylenol the next day, you need to take measures that go beyond the use of this product, which won’t do nearly as much good if you continue to abuse your liver.

Instead, ice water, fresh air, and early bedtimes are great places to start!

Alpha Lipoic Acid 100 mg

Alpha Lipoic Acid, or ALA for those of us too lazy to write the whole name out, is an organic compound produced in your body’s cells and also found in many foods you eat. It has the unique quality of being both fat and water-soluble, which means its potent antioxidant activity is present throughout your body’s cells.

Along with its ability to reduce free radicals and their damage throughout your body, it also reduces the activity of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK), which is an enzyme produced in your brain that makes you feel hungry.

And of course, when you don’t feel as hungry, you eat less, and your liver receives fewer fattening substances so that it can stay healthy!

Zinc Glycinate 15 mg

Glycine is your body’s smallest essential amino acid, and when it’s combined with zinc, you get increased bioavailability of one of your body’s most important minerals. This is important to your liver’s health since science shows us that zinc may play an important role in inhibiting the antiviral and inflammatory effects of interferon lambda 3 (IFN-λ3)—a protein strongly associated with chronic liver disease.

This helps it prevent and reverse such devastating liver conditions as cirrhosis and other inflammatory liver diseases—not to mention helps keep your liver healthy in the first place!

Selenium 200 mcg

Selenium is a trace mineral that in itself not only acts as an antioxidant but also enhances the antioxidant properties of vitamin E & zinc. It’s also important for the production of glutathione peroxidase to further help reduce inflammation and detoxify your liver.

And of course, since this enables your liver to focus less energy on toxins and oxidative stress and more on producing important things like immune cells, you get speedier wound healing along with less risk of illness and chronic disease.

Does LiverWell Work?

You don’t need to wait until symptoms of an overburdened liver to arise for you to take measures to improve its health, nor should you. In fact, even if you feel great and live an otherwise clean lifestyle, the accumulation of toxins and free radical damage may be more noticeable in their absence than you now realize since toxic buildup happens to all of us.

And of course, if you do live in a polluted area, indulge in too much sugar, booze, or other liver contaminants, using a product such as this a great start which may just lead to you reducing your intake of toxins since you’ll get an idea of just how good doing so can help you feel.

And yes, by containing natural antioxidants and other compounds beneficial to your liver’s health—most of which are backed by science—LiverWell can indeed help you and your liver be healthier for more energy, better immune health, clearer skin, and the list goes on.

Who Is LiverWell Best For?

Though LiverWell is best for those who need to reduce the effects of environmental toxins, alcohol, drug use, a poor diet, or any other reason for the hepatic buildup of toxins and oxidative stress, it can—and should—be used by anyone with a liver to protect. This includes those who may not even realize the effects of slowly accumulating heavy metals and other environmental toxins we can’t avoid while continuing to breathe.

And of course, if you are indulging into the wee hours or sucking up fumes directly out of tailpipes, change is good since even a product like this isn’t likely to fully counter the effects of your lifestyle. Yes, it can help, though there is nothing in it so beneficial to you as a healthy diet, reduced toxic intake, and a good night’s sleep. Once you take these measures, LiverWell can do the rest in helping protect you and your liver’s health.

LiverWell For Liver Health

Claims vs. Reality

To put it succinctly, yes, LiverWell works as Live Conscious claims, and there’s plenty of science to back them too. Whether or not you feel the rundown, headachy, acne-infused feelings of liver toxicity, it’s in your best interest to use this product.

Remember, you only have one liver–protect it!

Is LiverWell Safe?

While there’s always a chance some may be sensitive or allergic to any of LiverWell’s ingredients, what’s unsafe is leaving your liver’s health up to chance—as in, the chance you may be doing irreparable harm to it.

Granted for most of us, while the levels of toxins in our environment may make using this product a good idea, our exposures may not warrant the extreme urgency heavy drinkers, smokers, and users of drugs (pharmaceutical, OTC, and illegal intoxicants); or who are exposed to such environmental toxins as paint fumes, diesel fumes, and other carcinogens may have. For them, both abstaining from further toxic accumulation along with a quality product such as this is highly advisable.

But for everyone, the main side effects of this product will be clearer skin, clearer thinking, better immune response, and better overall health. The product also contains mostly essential elements that you get from your diet, which should give you an idea of just how safe it is.
