vitable review

Sometimes, even the best and highest-quality health supplements out there are missing one key element: individual variability. Yes, there are many supplements available that offer a wide range of general health benefits, but what about people who have very unique, specific, and individualized needs? In these cases, there needs to be a way to find exactly what you’re looking for. And one such company that aims to do just that is Vitable.

Vitable provides personalized supplement packs designed to meet your specific health and wellness needs. But, are they worth it? Do they have the right ingredients? Do they actually do all they claim to do? In this Vitable review, we’ll answer all of those questions and more.

Ready to find out if these personalized supplements are worth the price? Let’s get started with this Vitable review!

About Vitable

As noted, Vitable is not a specific product but rather a company that has a wide variety of supplement packs that they offer depending on a variety of individual factors. On the Vitable website, you are encouraged to take a free assessment that inquiries about your current health status as well as aspects of your lifestyle and overall goals.

Vitable considers your gender, age, and then asks you about the areas of health your looking to improve. From there, it asks questions about your current diet patterns, exercise habits, sun exposure, drinking/smoking habits, and beliefs about alternative/Eastern medicine, all of which are designed to give you an individualized supplement pack that fits your specific needs.

Alternatively, you can visit their product library, where they list all of the supplements they offer, in which you directly choose the supplements you want based on your goals.

Vitable Benefits

With Vitable, the main benefit is that you get specific supplement recommendations based on your goals. They have specific packs for many health concerns, including immune health, energy, sleep, stress, digestion, women’s and men’s health, hair, bones, and much more!

And as mentioned, you can either directly click on an area of wellness that you want to improve, and Vitable will give you specific supplement packs for that health concern. Or you can take the assessment, and it will give you supplements that address the variety of health concerns and other factors that they learned about from your answers.

Vitable Ingredients

So, there isn’t one specific ingredient profile for Vitable because it depends on the packs you are recommended. But they have a variety of supplement packs, including vitamins, minerals, herbs, probiotics, “specialty” products, and powders, all of which relate to one or more specific health concerns.

Below are all of the ingredients that you could potentially be recommended:

Whether you get recommended specific ingredients based on the health assessment, or you decide to choose your own ingredients, one of the great things about Vitable is that, for each ingredient, they provide a specific description of the form used, the overall areas of health that benefit from supplementation, a rationale of why each ingredient is useful, and references to scientific research showing the benefits. As such, it can give you confidence in the ingredients you are buying and help you to make highly informed decisions.

Ingredient Quality

I will briefly list some of the benefits of the ingredients later, but I think it’s more important to understand the overall ingredient quality, since Vitable already tells you about the benefits themselves (and backs this up with research.)

After analyzing the ingredients, it’s clear that they use optimal forms that are the most bioavailable and, thus, the most effective.

For example, all of the B-vitamins they use are in their bioactive forms, and vitamins C and D are also in easily digestible forms too. Additionally, after looking at the minerals (e.g., calcium, zinc, magnesium), they are all chelated forms, such as with glycinate or citrate, and chelated forms are the most bioavailable and effective.

Continuing on with herbs, they use quality sources here, too, either by using patented forms and/or pairing the herbs with other ingredients for higher bioavailability. For example, they use the KSM-66 form of ashwagandha and BacoMind form of Brahmi, which are very well-researched forms. And they paired curcumin with BioPerine, which is known to greatly enhance bioavailability.

Also, all of the strains they use in their probiotic products are backed by a lot of scientific research, such as Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus.

Other notable indications of ingredient quality are the use of algae oil for their plant-based omega-3, which is a great form; the use of hydrolyzed collagen peptides for their collagen products, which are highly bioavailable; and the use of whey protein isolate and pea protein isolate for their protein powders, both of which are very well-researched, easily digestible, and effective.

All in all, it’s clear that Vitable did their research and chose to only implement quality forms of their ingredients, which makes it likely that users will benefit from the packs that they are recommended.

But one major negative is the “bias” they have in certain ingredients. More specifically, they only include a handful of ingredients for each of the categories mentioned. As a result, there may very well be specific vitamins, minerals, herbs, probiotics, and so forth, that you would benefit more from but aren’t available to buy via Vitable. Therefore, this lack of extensiveness decreases the overall quality of the Vitable ingredient profiles as a whole.

Quality of Vitable’s Services and Recommendations

Each ingredient has a few specific areas that Vitable says you will benefit the most from, and this is why they’re able to offer you customizable packs based on the answers you give in your assessments or from the areas you choose on your own.

vitable assessment

For example, let’s say it turns out that a main area of health that you need to improve is stress. They recommend an activated B-complex, ginkgo and brahmi, ashwagandha, and magnesium night powder, all of which are, in fact, able to reduce stress and support a healthy brain and central nervous system via a number of mechanisms.

Or maybe you are primarily dealing with heart health and cardiovascular concerns. In this case, they recommend magnesium, omega-3s, and carnitine, which all have research behind them showing that they can reduce inflammation, blood pressure, lipid profiles, and improve overall cardiovascular health.

For a third and final example, maybe your main concern is to improve your immune system. And in this case, they recommend vitamin D, vitamin C Plus, zinc, and probiotics, all of which are well-known to enhance various aspects of immune function, inflammation, as well as overall health and wellness.

So, these three examples serve to give you an understanding of the thought process that goes on behind the recommendations that Vitable gives you. It seems to be very well thought out and based on research (and a little ancient wisdom too). But again, there could be more ingredients that users would benefit from that aren’t available in the Vitable packs. With so many other personalized vitamin companies out there, like Rootine and Baze, this may deter some users as they may not get the most optimal results.

Are Vitable Supplement Packs Effective?

So, all in all, it is still likely that you will be recommended quality supplements when using the Vitable website. All of their ingredients are very well-researched and proven to offer health benefits specific to the areas that they mention. Also, the vast majority of the ingredients use the most bioavailable and effective forms, and the dosages appear to be on par with the research for the most part.

Also, the health assessment asks a variety of questions that makes the recommendations highly individualized. It’s not like they just ask you your age, gender, and main health goal. Rather, they inquire deeply about any and all specific health concerns that you have and any areas you want to improve. And they pair this with multiple questions about your lifestyle, such as exercise, diet, sleep, sunlight, stress, and so forth, to generate a clearer picture of what you may benefit from.

However, keep in mind that they only have a limited number of total ingredients, so the solutions they come up with may not be the very best for you. After all, there is only a handful of vitamins, minerals, herbs, and special substances, so there is a chance that your specific needs require additional vitamins, minerals, herbs, and so forth that aren’t available at Vitable. But overall, it should be a solid starting point for the health-conscious individual.

Who Should Try Vitable?

With so many different areas of health and wellness that Vitable claims to help with, practically anyone can go to their website and check out what they have to offer. But there are also specific recommendations I have based on your overall knowledge of and experience with supplementation.

Basically, if you’re someone who doesn’t have a lot of knowledge about health supplements or little to no experience with taking supplements, it’s best that you take the assessment that they give you.

But if you’re someone who is deeply entrenched in the supplement world and you have a great idea about what your needs are, you probably can just go to the “browse library” section and pick out your own supplement packs. You could even combine this with supplements that you buy from other websites, too, if you know exactly what you need.

And if you’re somewhere in between these categories, maybe take the assessment and do a little of your own decision-making.

Let your overall confidence, knowledge, and intuition be the guides here.

Is Vitable Safe?

Overall, the supplement packs recommended by Vitable are generally safe and well-tolerated. But with so many different ingredients, there are potential side effects, so I will just list the main side effects that occur with supplementation in general. Keep in mind that the possibility of various side effects depends on the packs you get.

  • Digestive symptoms, such as nausea, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, and heartburn
  • Headache
  • Dizziness
  • Rash and itchiness
  • Nervousness, anxiety, insomnia, and agitation
  • Fatigue, drowsiness, and brain fog
  • Changes in blood pressure and heart rate

As mentioned, you can either get a plan created for you by taking the assessment or pick out your own supplements individually.

Each product on its own has 30 servings, and the price range for the various ingredients ranges from $9 to $35, so clearly there’s a wide range of how much you’ll be paying per month.

Notably, if you choose to get a specific plan by taking the health assessment, the price per serving of the ingredients does go down, so that will save you money. But it’s impossible to say how much you’ll be paying since it’s so individualized.
