NutraChamps Liver Cleanse Ingredients

NutraChamps Liver Cleanse’s formula features a variety of ingredients, including milk thistle extract, artichoke extract, dandelion root extract, Jujube seed, and an advanced cleansing blend. Below, we will take a closer look at these ingredients and what they can provide for your health.

NutraChamps Liver Cleanse Supplement Facts

Milk Thistle Extract (300mg, 80% silymarin)

An ancient herbal remedy, the active ingredient in milk thistle, known as silymarin, is believed to have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and even antiviral properties. It has been studied for its beneficial effects in treating patients with alcoholic cirrhosis as well as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) when combined with vitamin E. Although it has been extensively studied, further research remains warranted on the exact uses and safety of milk thistle as a dietary supplement.

Milk thistle extract has been shown to have limited side effects, including nausea, diarrhea, itchiness, and bloating. It can result in allergic reaction for some, including those who have present allergies to artichoke, kiwi, ragweed, and daisies.

Artichoke Extract (100mg 4:1 extract)

Studied for its potential as a hepatoprotective agent, artichoke leaf extract has been found to be beneficial in some small studies for those with NAFLD. It has also been shown to improve cholesterol and triglyceride levels. It’s believed that this extract can help to promote the growth of healthy tissue and prevent damage. According to scientists, this is likely attributed to antioxidants present in the artichoke leaf, silymarin, and cynarin. Larger scale studies are needed to further determine its effects as a dietary supplement.

Artichoke leaf extract has been shown to improve digestive symptoms; however, some side effects of this ingredient include gas, upset stomach, and diarrhea. It can also trigger allergies in some individuals.

Dandelion Root Extract (100mg 4:1 extract)

Rich in antioxidant polyphenols, dandelion root has been studied for its beneficial effects on the liver by protecting against oxidative stress. It also has been studied for its anti-inflammatory properties and has shown to be beneficial for those struggling with type 2 diabetes. Further research on a larger scale is needed to determine safety and efficacy for this as a supplement for liver health.

Dandelion root extract can result in an allergic reaction for some. Some side effects associated with this extract are mild in nature and include symptoms such as upset stomach, diarrhea, and heartburn.

Jujube Seed (50mg)

With the majority of its credit coming from its antioxidant capacity, jujube seed has been studied on a very small scale for reducing stress and inflammation in the liver caused by free radical damage. Other studies suggested benefits from jujube seed, including anti-cancer properties, improved digestion due to its fiber content, and improved sleep.

Further research is warranted for the use of jujube seed, specifically in those with liver diseases and ailments. In large quantities, Jujube seed can result in drowsiness, diarrhea, constipation, bloating, and reduced appetite; however, these side effects are rare.

Advanced Cleansing Blend (270mg)

NutraChamps includes 270mg of an advanced cleansing blend of ingredients that is made from:

  • Turmeric root
  • Celery seed
  • Alfalfa
  • Burdock root
  • Yellow dock root
  • L-Methionine
  • Grapeseed extract
  • L-Cysteine
  • N-Acetyl Cysteine
  • Feverfew
  • Red raspberry fruit
  • Ginger root
  • Berberine HCL
  • Lime fruit
  • Spinach leaf
  • Kale leaf
  • Apple pectin
  • Bilberry fruit
  • Aloe vera leaf

Many of the ingredients in this cleansing blend are antioxidant-rich, such as turmeric root, alfalfa, ginger root, and spinach leaf, as well as the majority of others. It also contains L-Methionine and N-Acetyl Cysteine, compounds found in meat and animal products that can help to prevent liver damage for certain conditions, such as acetaminophen poisoning. The only downside to blends is not knowing exactly how much of each ingredient you’re actually getting. So while other liver supplements, such as LiverPure XTS and LiverWell, make their ingredient labels completely transparent, with NutraChamps you may play a bit of a guessing game.

Does NutraChamps Liver Cleanse Work?

The research for the active ingredients in NutraChamps Liver Cleanse does suggest that it would be beneficial for those looking to improve their liver health. Although, a lot more research is warranted to determine how effective and safe this supplement is when all of these ingredients are combined.

NutraChamps Liver Cleanse received 4.7 out of 5-stars on their website out of 150 total reviews. Consumers commented that there were significant improvements in lab test results after taking this supplement, specifically those who had previous experience with alcoholism. Many of these reviews do support the claims made by NutraChamps with this product; however, it is a relatively small population that posted these reviews.

NutraChamps Liver Cleanse - Supports Daily Liver Function & Health

Claims vs. Reality

NutraChamps claims that Liver Cleanse’s top benefits include being made with premium milk thistle with 80% silymarin potency and over 25 liver-supporting nutrients that support daily liver functions and health. NutraChamps claims their liver cleanse promotes energy, vitality, and wellness along with supporting a strong immune system but does the research measure up?

Herbal remedies are often a challenge when it comes to determining safety and efficacy. Specifically, herbal concoctions where it’s difficult to determine impacts of any single ingredient versus its interaction and impact when combined with other ingredients. Although NutraChamps is correct in their claims for research available on their active ingredients, most of the research is based on small studies or those that utilize mice that would warrant further review.

Although NutraChamps is not falsely marketing these ingredients, they are likely over-compensating their claims for the limited amount of research available for large-scale, human studies.

Is NutraChamps Liver Cleanse Safe?

Few side effects were reported with this supplement. Those side effects that were seen were mild in nature and included gas, nausea, diarrhea, and loss of appetite, which are also common side effects connecting to the main ingredients in this supplement.

For those who are taking medication, always discuss with your doctor before adding in a new dietary supplement to avoid any potential medication interactions.

Final Verdict: NutraChamps Liver Cleanse Review

Although it poses some enticing ingredients with some research to support, it remains questionable the true safety and efficacy of these herbal supplements when combined. Further research is warranted for these ingredients both individually and when combined into an herbal supplement. For the average healthy individual, it is likely safe to take this supplement; however, use with caution and always speak to your doctor before adding any dietary supplements to your routine.
