While fat loss is a seemingly simple process, that’s not always the case. Yes, you have to take in fewer calories than you burn, but there are so many factors that influence this process, which can make fat loss difficult for some.

Relatedly, there are many fat loss supplements out there that try to work not just by boosting metabolism but by aiding in detoxification and other processes that could help fat loss.

And one product that claims to do just that is called Perfect Origins LivLean. Is this supplement the right one for your needs? Let’s get started with this LivLean review to see what makes it unique as a fat loss supplement and if it can truly benefit your health.

About LivLean

LivLean is a fat loss and health supplement created by Perfect Origins. It is designed to help you lose weight and shed fat through many different processes. These processes include aiding in liver health and detoxification, boosting metabolism, improving immune function, and supporting healthy blood sugar levels.

LivLean focuses primarily on the liver, saying that detoxification is crucial for preventing toxic build-up in fat cells and thus preventing weight gain.

Additionally, it includes many herbal extracts, vitamins, and minerals, a few of which are highly popular and patented ingredients.

LivLean Benefits

The four main benefits of LivLean listed on their website include:

  • Better Liver Health and Detoxification

Liver Health/Detoxification

LivLean has a number of ingredients advertised to aid liver health and support detoxification, including Greenselect Phytosome, milk thistle, and turmeric. In turn, this is supposed to lead to a healthier metabolism and an easier time losing weight.

Metabolism Support

LivLean is also designed to boost your metabolism and improve overall hormonal health, with ingredients such as Seleno Excell and others.

Immune Support

There are also a number of antioxidant-rich and immune-supportive ingredients in LivLean, such as turmeric and alpha lipoic acid (ALA), which also play roles in detoxification and metabolic health.

Healthier Blood Sugar Levels

Lastly, LivLean is advertised to support healthier blood sugar levels with ingredients such as milk thistle, vitamin B6, and citrus extract. And improving blood sugar levels and insulin sensitivity is supposed to aid your weight loss efforts.

LivLean from Perfect Origins is definitely a unique fat loss supplement. But is it really effective? Read on to find out.

livlean supplement facts

Vitamin C

Up first is vitamin C, which is most known for its antioxidant and immune-enhancing effects. It can support detoxification processes in the liver and it is also known to be able to restore gut-liver axis dysfunction. In turn, this can help people with metabolic syndrome lose weight and have healthier metabolic health. Sounds like a win win!

Recommended Dose: 200 to 500mg

Vitamin B6

Vitamin B6 is involved in many aspects of metabolism, including fat and sugar metabolism. And deficiencies are related to liver disease and other metabolic disorders. Plus, some research shows vitamin B6 supplementation can reduce fat accumulation in the liver.

Recommended Dose: N/A

Folic Acid

Folic Acid is another B-complex vitamin involved in metabolism, immune function, and other areas. Some research has found that folic acid supplementation can decrease inflammatory markers and improve insulin sensitivity in overweight people.

Recommended Dose: N/A

Vitamin B12

The last B-complex vitamin to look at is vitamin B12, which is particularly important for energy metabolism and brain health. Plus, having enough vitamin B12 is important for fat metabolism and liver health.

Recommended Dose: N/A

SelenoExcell

Next is SelenoExcell, which is a patented form of organically bound selenium. Selenium is a trace mineral involved in hormonal health, thyroid support, metabolism, and immune health. And research on SelenoExcell has shown that it can reduce markers of oxidative stress.

Recommended Dose: 200mcg

Greenselect Phytosome

Another patented ingredient in LivLean is Greenselect Phytosome, which is a form of green tea extract. Green tea extract is able to boost metabolism and fat oxidation, largely due to its catechin content.

And Greenselect Phytosome has been shown to help overweight and obese people lose weight and reduce body fat, while also improving insulin, cholesterol, and triglycerides, among other metabolic markers.

Recommended Dose: 300mg

Milk Thistle Extract

Another herbal extract in LivLean is milk thistle extract. Milk thistle is most known for its silybin content, and a lot of research has shown it can reduce liver damage and inflammation while boosting detoxification. Plus, milk thistle can help lower blood sugar and improve insulin sensitivity.

Recommended Dose: 420mg

N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine

N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine is an amino acid derivative that is important for glutathione production, which is the most powerful antioxidant in the human body.

Unsurprisingly, N-Acetyl-L-cysteine supplementation can increase glutathione production and reduce inflammation and oxidative stress, and it’s particularly beneficial for liver health.

Recommended Dose: 600 to 1,800mg

Artichoke Leaf Extract

Artichoke leaf extract is rich in a number of beneficial compounds, including caffeic acid. It can protect against liver damage and may even be able to regenerate liver cells.

Plus, other research has shown that artichoke leaf extract can help reduce cholesterol and even balance insulin and glycemic responses to sugar.

Recommended Dose: Anywhere from 300 to 2,000mg

Citrus Extract

Yet another extract in LivLean is citrus extract, which is rich in bioflavonoids, including hesperidin. Bioflavonoids are potent antioxidant compounds that can reduce oxidative stress and inflammation, while also protecting the liver.

Plus, research on hesperidin shows that it can regulate fat and glucose metabolism while improving liver health too. (Noticing any common themes yet?)

Recommended Dose: 200mg

PicroLiv

Now let’s turn to another patent, PicroLiv, which is a form of Picchoriza kurroa extract. Picchoriza kurroa offers anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, while also supporting the liver and immune system, and protecting against certain cancers.

And specific research on PicroLiv has shown that it can protect against liver damage and liver cancer.

Recommended Dose: 300 to 1,000mg

Dandelion Root Extract

Danelion, often viewed as just a pesky weed, actually has many health benefits. It is rich in antioxidants and can help protect against liver damage and some cancers. Plus, dandelion root extract may be able to lower blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar.

Recommended Dose: N/A

Turmeric Extract

Turmeric is a well-known herb/spice, especially for its anti-inflammatory properties. It is rich in curcumin and other compounds known for their antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, neuroprotective, liver-protective, and immune-stimulating effects.

At 25mg, LivLean’s dosage is a bit low when compared to the usual recommended dosage. So, if you’re looking to get a solid amount of turmeric in your diet, you may want to consider adding in a dedicated turmeric supplement like Primal Harvest Turmeric Complex or Qunol Liquid Turmeric.

Recommended Dose: 150 to 250mg

ALA

Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) has very powerful antioxidant properties. Research has shown that it can help regenerate antioxidant factors and stimulate glutathione synthesis, thus providing powerful defense against free radicals and oxidative stress.

And its antioxidant effects may also help in metabolic disorders.

Recommended Dose: 300mg

BioPerine

The final ingredient in LivLean is BioPerine, a patented form of black pepper extract. It has been shown to increase the bioavailability of different vitamins, minerals, and herbal extracts, so it can increase their overall potency.

And many of the ingredients in here have been provent to be better absorbed alongside BioPerine, including turmeric and selenium, just for some examples.

Recommended Dose: 5 to 15mg

Does LivLean Work?

LivLean is definitely a unique fat loss supplement, and overall, it should work pretty well.

livlean aid liver function

It uses a wide range of diverse ingredients, all of which are pretty well-researched and proven to aid fat loss. Plus, these ingredients have a good amount of research showing they can reduce inflammation and oxidative stress, improve liver health, support the immune system, and reduce cholesterol, blood sugar, and blood pressure.

But one of the problems is that a lot of the ingredients are underdosed.

On one hand. SelenoExcell and Greenselect Phytosome are two key ingredients that are dosed exactly at the research-based amounts. And vitamin C and the B-complex vitamins are included at a pretty solid dose too.

But milk thistle, turmeric, and many other ingredients are dosed at only a fraction of what they should be, which limits LivLean’s potential benefits.

But as a whole, LivLean should still help with overall weight loss, liver health, and health in general.

Claims vs. Reality

So, in terms of weight loss, I’d expect about 5 to 10 extra pounds lost over the course of 12 weeks or so compared to a low-calorie diet alone. This is actually pretty significant but remember that not everyone will see these results.

Also, you should see improvement in liver health, immune health, and overall metabolic function, but it’s hard to say the exact improvements you’ll get (unless you’re doing specific testing).

But you could also just judge it by how you feel. And to that end, I do expect LivLean to make you feel a little bit healthier and more energized, possibly with less fatigue and fewer digestive problems.

And again, this would occur over a period of several weeks.

Who is LivLean Best For?

LivLean is best for anyone who is overweight and wants to shed off a few extra pounds while also boosting their body’s natural detoxification processes and improving overall health. It’s no miracle, but it should be a nice add-on to your current health practices.

Is LivLean Safe?

LivLean claims to come with no drug-related side effects, but there are always possible side effects with any supplement. So, here they are:

  • Digestive symptoms, such as bloating, nausea, upset stomach
  • Changes in blood pressure
  • Changes in blood sugar
  • Headache
  • Dizziness
  • Others

Also, LivLean is vegetarian, gluten-free, and soy-free.

Final Verdict: LivLean Review

LivLean is a unique supplement with many well-researched ingredients known to support liver health, fat loss, and overall wellness. While a lot of the ingredients are dosed too low, the overall ingredient combination should be pretty helpful. Also, we recommend it as an option for fat loss and overall wellness.
