Fat burners are seen everywhere in stores and online today since so many people want to shred pounds of body fat and achieve a healthier physique. Yet, many of the claims made by these companies are pretty exaggerated and don’t actually work as well as they’re supposed to. That’s why it’s important to take a realistic approach to fat loss supplements to see which ones work, and the degree to which they’ll help you.
And in this article, we’re reviewing a fat-burning supplement called Inno Shred to see if it can help you shred off those pounds and get you in top shape. Keep reading our Inno Shred review to see if this product is right for you.
About Inno Shred
Inno Shred is a thermogenic fat burner created by Inno Supps. We’ve previously reviewed Inno Supps Night Shred (nighttime fat burner), Inno Cleanse, and Inno Supps T-Drive, and the products scored well.
Inno Shred uses natural and science-backed ingredients that are supposed to supercharge your metabolism and increase thermogenesis so that you can rid the body of stubborn body fat. It is highlighted by Capsimax and Paradoxine (Grains of Paradise extract), but other ingredients are also designed to support metabolism and fat-burning. There is also a stim-free version for anyone sensitive to caffeine or other stimulants.
Inno Shred Benefits
Inno Supps uses some pretty powerful language regarding the benefits you’ll get from Inno Shred. For example, Inno Shred is designed to dramatically increase metabolism and energy expenditure, promote rapid fat-burning, attack stubborn body fat, and reduce your appetite.
Increased Metabolism and Energy Expenditure
Several ingredients in Inno Shred are designed to significantly increase your metabolic rate and energy expenditure, so you can burn more calories without changing your routine. Key ingredients are Capsimax, Paradoxine, and caffeine, among others.
Attack Stubborn Body Fat
Inno Shred is also advertised to increase brown fat activation and burn fat for energy rather than just keeping it dormant, thanks to ingredients such as Capsimax, Paradoxine, and Alpha yohimbine. As a result, it may help you remove stubborn body fat.
Appetite Suppression
Another way Inno Shred may help you to lose fat is through appetite suppression with ingredients such as caffeine and Capsimax.
Overall Fat-Burning Potential
And put together, all of these benefits are tied to the primary use of rapid fat-burning and fat loss, particularly when combined with exercise. The question is, will you actually see dramatic fat loss when taking Inno Shred? Continue reading to find out!
Inno Shred Ingredients
You have some idea of the ingredients in Inno Shred already, but here’s what the full breakdown looks like per serving (2 capsules):
- Green Tea Leaf Extract (300mg)
- goFAT Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) (300mg)
- Green Coffee Bean Extract (300mg)
- PurCaf Caffeine (200mg)
- Capsimax Capsicum Fruit Extract (100mg)
- Citrus Aurantium Fruit Extract (50mg)
- Paradoxine Grains of Paradise Seed Extract (25mg)
- Rauwolscine (Alpha Yohimbine) (1mg)
Capsimax
Let’s start with one of the leading players in Inno Shred: capsimax. This ingredient is a form of red chili pepper extract. The primary beneficial compounds in chili peppers are capsaicinoids, known for their anti-inflammatory, lipolytic and thermogenic effects.
Some research has shown that the specific form of Capsimax can enhance fat metabolism, increase thermogenesis, and slightly reduce appetite, all of which are related to more significant weight loss seen with Capsimax.
The best dose is 100 to 200mg.
Paradoxine
The other primary ingredient in Inno Shred is Paradoxine, a form of grains of paradise (a species of the ginger family…yes, that’s its real name!). Paradoxine has been directly studied in humans, where it has been shown to activate brown fat and increase energy expenditure. Other research has shown that Paradoxine can slightly reduce visceral fat and increase whole-body energy expenditure. So, it seems that Paradoxine is good for slightly improving fat loss.
Rauwolscine (not included in stim-free version)
Up next is rauwolscine, also known as alpha yohimbine. Rauwolscine is an alpha-2 adrenergic receptor antagonist, which allows more adrenaline to stay in the body for a more extended period, which can increase sympathetic nervous system activation. Research on taking rauwolscine before exercise shows that it can boost lipolysis (breakdown of fats), so it may help with weight loss, especially when combined with exercise.
Green Tea Leaf Extract
It is also included in Inno Shred is green tea leaf extract. Green tea is most well-known for its catechin content (such as EGCG) and is able to slightly increase resting metabolic rate, energy expenditure, and metabolism during exercise, all of which may contribute to fat loss.
100 to 300 mg is typically beneficial.
goFAT CLA
Another ingredient in here is goFAT, which is a form of CLA. CLA is a fatty acid found naturally in meat and dairy products. It is believed to help support weight loss by increasing fat metabolism and inhibiting fat storage, although more research is needed overall.
Green Coffee Bean Extract
Up next is green coffee bean extract which is extract from raw coffee beans. Some research shows that green coffee extract can improve weight loss and reduce body fat, possibly by enhancing thermogenesis. Plus, chlorogenic acids found in green coffee beans may aid glucose metabolism.
Generally, 20o to 400 mg is beneficial.
PurCaf Caffeine (not included in stim-free version)
Now, let’s look at PurCaf, a form of caffeine extracted from green coffee beans. Caffeine is a well-known stimulant, and its activation of the sympathetic nervous system can help to increase thermogenesis while also reducing appetite slightly. Plus, caffeine may activate brown fat, which can increase energy expenditure. Current research shows that caffeine is at least mildly effective for reducing body fat, BMI, and overall weight.
100 to 300 mg is typically adequate.
Citrus Aurantium Fruit Extract (not included in stim-free version)
The final ingredient in Inno Shred is citrus aurantium fruit extract, an extract of bitter orange. The primary compound in bitter orange is p-synepherine, which binds to alpha and beta-adrenergic receptors and may be able to increase fat metabolism and thermogenesis. Some studies show it can help with appetite suppression and weight loss.
The beneficial dose is usually around 50mg.
Does Inno Shred Work?
All in all, Inno Shred should be a pretty solid fat-burner. Inno Supps highlighted Capsimax and Paradoxine as their primary ingredients, and the research does show that they can increase thermogenesis and brown fat activation, increase metabolism, and suppress appetite. Plus, the doses used for these two ingredients are backed by research.
And the other ingredients in Inno Shred also help burn body fat through similar mechanisms. You generally can’t go wrong with caffeine, green tea extract, and other well-known metabolic enhancers, so Inno Shred did a good job here, mainly since they used effective dosages.
Claims vs. Reality
With all of this being said, the claims made by the makers of Inno Shred are a little too strong to be stood by. Yes, Inno Shred should help you burn some fat and lose a few more pounds than your usual regimen, but it won’t be a rapid fat burner or dramatically increase weight loss.
This doesn’t mean it’s not effective, of course. But just be realistic about the results you’ll get. All in all, I’d expect Inno Shred users to shred off a few pounds of body fat, especially in stubborn areas, and you’ll probably experience a slight reduction in appetite, all of which can give you that extra edge in your fat loss efforts.
Who is it Best For?
Inno Shred is best for people who want to lose fat and are already exercising on a regular basis. It is best taken before exercise to amplify its benefits, although you can still experience a boost on off days too. And since there is a stim-free option for anyone sensitive to stimulants, Inno Shred is really a good option for pretty much anyone who wants to shred body fat and lose weight.
Safety and Side Effects
Inno Shred has a few potential side effects, particularly related to the stimulant version, although both products should generally be pretty safe. Here are some possible side effects:
- Anxiety, nervousness, agitation, restlessness, and insomnia
- Increased heart rate and blood pressure
- Digestive problems (e.g. upset stomach)
- Headache
- Dizziness
Inno Shred is free from gluten, lactose, and soy, and it is also vegan-friendly. Plus, it contains zero sucralose, artificial sweeteners, fillers, or harmful additives. And every batch is lab-tested and made in a GMP-certified and Informed Choice-certified facility.
