If you have trouble sleeping well and losing fat, you’re kind of in a tricky situation.

Why?

Well, not getting enough sleep increases the risk of obesity (due to many factors)…and eating unhealthy foods and too much food can disrupt sleep. So, there’s kind of a vicious cycle that can be created and is hard to put a stop to.

But what if a supplement could target both of these problems? Sounds pretty intriguing, and one supplement we’ll look at in this article that claims to do just that is Bedtime Burn.

About Bedtime Burn

Bedtime Burn is advertised to be a night-time fat burner, sleep aid, and appetite suppressant, all wrapped up into one.

It is created by Dr. Emil Nutrition, a supplement company primarily run by Dr. Emil Hodzovic, who is both a doctor and a professional athlete.

Bedtime contains a number of non-stimulant ingredients in a doctor-formulated blend, with key players such as green tea extract, passionflower, theanine, and white kidney bean extract.

And when taken every night, Bedtime Burn is supposed to help lull you into a good night’s rest and turn your fat-burning dreams into a reality.

Bedtime Burn Benefits

The unique ingredient profile in Bedtime Burn is advertised to:

  • Increase calmness and relaxation
  • Promote deep, restful sleep
  • Reduce cravings
  • Boost metabolism and burn fat

Increase Calmness

Bedtime Burn is advertised to help calm the mind so you can quit worrying and fall asleep faster with ingredients such as theanine and passionflower.

Deep, Restful Sleep

There is also melatonin in Bedtime Burn, along with other herbs and amino acids to improve overall sleep quality and help you wake up feeling refreshed.

Reduce Cravings

Nighttime cravings can put a damper on your fat loss goals, but Bedtime Burn claims to be able to reduce these cravings. So, no more midnight snacks!

Boost Metabolism and Fat-Burning

Last but certainly not least, Bedtime Burn is also advertised to boost your metabolism and help you burn fat while you sleep, all with non-stimulant ingredients such as green tea extract.

But is Bedtime Burn really the fat loss and sleep supplement of your dreams? Read on to find out!

Bedtime Burn Ingredients

Bedtime Burn comes in capsule form, and here’s what’s in each serving (2 capsules):

As you can see, it’s a mix of herbal extracts, melatonin, vitamins, and amino acids.

Vitamin D

The only vitamin included in Bedtime Burn is vitamin D. Studies have found that overweight and obese people are commonly vitamin-D deficient. Plus, low vitamin D levels are associated with worse mood and sleep outcomes. But vitamin D supplementation doesn’t really appear to offer any major benefits for fat loss or sleep.

White Kidney Bean Extract

White kidney bean extract is most known for it’s ability to inhibit alpha-amylase, which in turn decreases carbohydrate digestion and absorption. Some research shows white kidney bean extract can help people lose weight alongside a low-calorie diet, but it doesn’t appear to decrease hunger.

Green Tea Extract

Next up is green tea extract, which has numerous bioactive compounds, such as polyphenols. In particular, EGCG and other polyphenols in green tea extract are thought to increase metabolism and fat oxidation. And some studies show green tea extract can help reduce weight and body fat.

L-Theanine

L-Theanine is a compound found in tea known for its anti-anxiety and anti-stress properties. It increases alpha waves, GABA, and serotonin in the brain, which enhances calmness and relaxation. Plus, some research shows theanine can improve sleep, mainly through its anti-anxiety actions. It’s no wonder the monks are known for consuming green tea to get them into a zen-like state.

L-Tryptophan

A common sleep ingredient also included in Bedtime Burn is l-tryptophan, which is an amino acid. Tryptophan is needed to produce serotonin and melatonin, which help to improve mood and sleep quality. And the overall research on tryptophan shows that supplementation can decrease the time it takes to fall asleep and improve overall sleep quality.

Passionflower Extract

Passionflower is an herb with many beneficial compounds for overall mental health. For example, passionflower can increase GABA levels in the brain which decreases anxiety and stress while also promoting deeper sleep.

Valerian Root Powder

Valerian is another herb that also has many mental health benefits. Compounds in valerian are known to increase GABA, as well as serotonin and adenosine, all of which can help to reduce anxiety and stress, improve mood, and increase sleep quality. Plus, some research shows valerian combined with passionflower can even be more beneficial for improving sleep.

Melatonin

The final ingredient in Bedtime Burn is none other than melatonin. Melatonin is produced naturally by the body at night to regulate sleep/wake cycles. There has been a lot of research on melatonin supplementation, with the overall picture being positive and showing that it can reduce sleep disorders and improve many aspects of sleep quality, such as reducing the time it takes to fall asleep and decreasing midnight awakenings.

Does Bedtime Burn Work?

Overall, Bedtime Burn should be a decent sleep support and fat loss supplement, but it could be better.

All of the ingredients are proven to offer benefits for fat loss, stress reduction, and improved sleep quality, but many of the ingredients are dosed too low.

bedtime burn supplement

For example, theanine, passionflower, valerian, and tryptophan are all dosed too low, which limits their ability to help calm your mind and improve sleep.

The high dose of melatonin is a plus, though, so this might counter some of those negative aspects.

Also, the doses of green tea extract and white kidney bean extract are within the effective ranges, so it should be decent for fat-burning. But there really isn’t any evidence showing they can reduce appetite.

Claims vs Reality

Bedtime Burn has some decent benefits, but don’t expect anything outstanding.

They do use effective doses of green tea extract and white kidney bean extract, but I still wouldn’t expect users to lose more than 5 or so addition pounds over the course of several weeks compared to what you’d lose with a diet and exercise plan alone.

Also, the melatonin should help to improve your sleep quality, but anyone suffering from a lot of stress and anxiety might not see as much of an improvement in sleep since the anti-anxiety ingredients in here aren’t dosed very well.

However, theanine has a decent dosage, and since this is combined with other well-researched ingredients (e.g. valerian) you may see some reduction in stress and anxiety, but not everyone will.

Who is it Best For?

Bedtime Burn is best for people with mild sleep problems who also want a little boost in fat-burning. If your sleep problems are due to a lot of stress and anxiety, you’re better off trying a more potent anti-anxiety and sleep support supplement, such as Relaxium Sleep or XanFree

Bedtime Burn Safety and Side Effects

Bedtime Burn should be pretty safe overall, but here are some possible side effects:

  • Nausea, upset stomach, bloating, and other digestive symptoms
  • Headache and dizziness
  • Drowsiness
  • Rapid heartbeat
  • Confusion and disorientation
  • Depression, irritability, and anxiety
  • Sleeplessness

Bedtime Burn is vegan-friendly and contains less than 5mg of caffeine.

Also, Bedtime Burn is made in the USA using GMP standards.

Where to Buy Bedtime Burn

You can buy Bedtime Burn on the Dr. Emil Nutrition website at this product link

Each bottle comes with 30 servings (60 capsules). The regular price is $24.95 ($0.83/serving), or you can save 20% by choosing the Subscribe & Save option, which lowers the price to $19.96 ($0.67/serving) (subscription delivered monthly).

They also offer free shipping on orders over $40. And there is a 60-day money-back guarantee.

As you can see, Bedtime Burn is under a buck per serving no matter what, which is very affordable. That’s probably the right price though since they don’t have optimal dosages for a few of their ingredients, so I’m glad they didn’t overprice it.

Final Verdict

Bedtime Burn has a lot of quality ingredients to reduce stress, promote deep sleep, and help burn fat. It’s just that some of the ingredients are dosed too low, which limits its overall potential. All in all, it’s a pretty good sleep support and fat loss supplement that’s worth checking out.
