REBAAR-Review

Branched-chain amino acids or BCAAs are well-known for their benefits for physical and exercise performance as well as for building muscles. This explains why BCAAs can be commonly found in many bodybuilding and sports supplements. Some supplements even use BCAAs as a standalone ingredient (BCAA supplements).

That being said, as with other supplements, not all BCAA supplements are made equal. So, how do you know which to use and which to lose? That’s where we come in!

For this article, we are going to review REBAAR, a BCAA supplement made by BELDT Labs. We’ll discuss what REBAAR is, its ingredients, benefits, and more. By the end, we are going to determine if REBAAR is truly worth trying out or if you should pass.

So, without any further ado, let’s get started with this REBAAR review!

About REBAAR

REBAAR is a BCAA supplement made by BELDT Labs, a supplements company that focuses on making supplements intended for sports and exercise performance. If you do not immediately recognize BELDT, you may recognize one of its famous fat-burning supplements, Skald.

As already mentioned above, REBAAR is a BCAA supplement. According to its product label, REBAAR can provide the following benefits:

  • It builds and preserves muscle mass
  • It improves your strength and power
  • It supports recovery

To further understand how REBAAR may work for us, let us check out its ingredients to see if it can potentially bring about the benefits it promises. This is also a way for us to know what exactly we would get from the supplement.

REBAAR Ingredients

As a BCAA supplement, REBAAR is only made of one ingredient: BCAAs. So while some BCAA supplements may include a proprietary blend or additional ingredients, such as K Nutri BCAAs + Collagen or AminoOne, REBAAR keeps its formula straightforward and transparent so you know exactly what you’re getting and in what dosages.

REBAAR is packed with a potent amount of 3000mg of BCAAs. Since BCAAs are made up of three amino acids – leucine, isoleucine, and valine – REBAAR’s BCAAs comes as the following:

  • L- Leucine – 1500mg
  • L- Isoleucine – 750mg
  • L- Valine – 750mg

To further understand the benefits of BCAAs, let us get to know what BCAAs are and the science behind their supposed benefits.

Benefits of BCAAs

BCAAs are also known as branched-chain amino acids. They are called such due to their chemical structure. As already mentioned earlier, BCAAs are made up of three amino acids – leucine, isoleucine, and valine. Among the three, leucine plays the key role in bringing about the benefits attributed to BCAAs, but isoleucine and valine provide important performance and health benefits as well.

Aside from being a key ingredient for exercise performance, BCAAs are also part of the so-called “essential amino acids.” Essential amino acids are amino acids that are not produced in our bodies. Therefore, we need to get them from outside sources through diet and supplements. There are 20 amino acids that our body uses for protein structure and synthesis; 9 of them are essential acids, including the BCAAs.

BCAAs are well-known in sports nutrition, bodybuilding, and athletics performance for their exercise and muscle-growth benefits. Here are the 3 main benefits of BCAAs as backed by research:

1) BCAAs help reduce exercise fatigue

Exercise can induce fatigue simply because it is physically and mentally exhausting. While this fatigue is often just temporary and can be relieved with rest, if you have other activities after your workout, the fatigue can take a toll on your scheduled activities. For this matter, BCAAs can be helpful as they can reduce fatigue caused by exercise. How?

Every time we work out, our muscles use BCAAs, causing BCAA levels in our blood to decline. When that happens, the tryptophan level in our brain starts to increase. In the brain, tryptophan would be converted to serotonin. While serotonin is known to positively affect our mood, it can also cause the fatigue we get during exercise.

These being said, increasing your BCAA level as such through supplementation can alleviate exercise-induced fatigue. For instance, some studies show that participants who took BCAAs had improved their mental focus when working out.

However, while BCAAs can alleviate exercise-induced fatigue, it does not necessarily translate to better physical or exercise performance.

2) BCAAs support muscle growth

Most muscle-building and sports supplements use BCAAs for this very reason. But what does science say?

According to science and research, BCAAs do aid in muscle growth. Specifically, BCAAs can improve your muscle growth thanks to their leucine. Leucine is responsible for activating a particular pathway that stimulates muscle protein synthesis, which in turn stimulates the process of building muscles.

That being said, while increasing muscle growth is possible with BCAAs, it is less effective compared to when you use complete protein such as whey protein, which contains all of the amino acids that your body needs to build muscles.

3) BCAAs can reduce muscle soreness

Finally, BCAAs can reduce muscle soreness, which translates to a speedy recovery.

It is not yet known what exactly causes muscle soreness after we work out, but the consensus is that muscle soreness is the result of tiny muscle damage or tears after exercise.

Like exercise-induced fatigue, muscle soreness usually goes away on its own, typically 1-3 days after the workout. Muscle soreness especially happens if you are new to the workout routine or you simply pushed your limits as you aim for muscle growth.

The only problem with muscle soreness is that it slows down your workout. By recovering quickly from muscle soreness, you can put in another set or two to maximize your workout gains.

BCAAs can reduce muscle soreness because it replaces protein that is broken down as you work out. The added BCAAs support your muscles, allowing you to continue with your workouts. Reducing muscle soreness also allows you to return to the gym faster than you would normally otherwise if your muscle recovery is slow.

REBAAR Benefits

Now that we’ve learned what BCAAs are and how they work, below are the benefits that you can expect to receive with REBAAR.

1) Potentially Effective

Given the potential benefits of REBAAR, as we have just discussed above, we can say that REBAAR is potentially effective for physical and exercise performance. However, as mentioned earlier, while BCAAs are effective, if building muscles is your primary goal, whey protein, and other complete protein supplements would be a better option.

2) 100% Money-Back Guarantee

While REBAAR can be a potentially effective supplement for you, given its ingredients, it does not necessarily mean that the supplement will work for all people. If, for some reason, the supplement did not sit well with you, you can simply ask for a refund.

Having a 100% money-back guarantee is great because this allows you to try out the supplement at relatively low risk. By knowing that you can get your money back should it not work well for you, you’ll have the peace of mind of trying out the supplement.

Having a 100% money-back guarantee also often means that the manufacturer trusts in their product so much that they are willing to bet a money-back guarantee in exchange for buying and trying out their supplement. After all, if the product is ineffective – and manufacturers would know that they’ll receive a lot of refund requests from that – why offer a money-back guarantee?

Is REBAAR Safe?

So far, there are no reported adverse side effects caused by REBAAR. So, we can say that REBAAR is generally safe. However, be sure not to consume too many BCAAs as too many BCAAs can cause side effects such as pain, fatigue, nausea, and headache. In some cases, BCAAs can even affect your blood glucose levels. This being said, make sure to follow the proper dosage when taking the supplement.

Generally, it is advised that you avoid BCAAs when you are pregnant or breastfeeding. When taking new supplements, it’s always wise to consult your doctor first before adding the supplement to your routine.

Is REBAAR Worth Trying Out?

Given the benefits of BCAAs, we can say that REBAAR is worth trying out. However, if your primary goal is to build muscles, supplements such as whey protein could be a better option. But if your primary goal is to specifically supplement REBAAR, then REBAAR may work well with you.
