Phoebe Tonkin is from Australia. She started taking dance classes at age 4 and then began studying theater when she was 12. In 2005, she landed a role in the Australian tv series H2O: Just Add Water. Tonkin moved to LA in 2011 and was soon cast in the CW series The Secret Circle, but she is perhaps best known for playing in The Originals, a Vampire Diaries spin-off. Tonkin has also appeared on the big screen, including Bait 3D and The Ever After. She has also tried directing with Furlough. Tonkin says she was once extremely strict about her intake but has since relaxed her approach to eating and it has actually helped her slim down. That said, she opts for natural foods like veggies, seafood, and quinoa, and steers clear of refined sugar, dairy, and empty calorie foods. She uses herbal teas and homeopathic medicines to deal with minor health issues like headaches, and also supplements with vitamin B12, digestive enzymes and probiotics to stay ahead in the game.

Tonkin will often have a smoothie for breakfast. It might be a green juice, or it could be made with almond milk, coconut water and fruit.

Tonkin’s diet can run light on meat, and so she supplements with vitamin B12 to ensure sufficient intake. B12 is essential for red blood cell formation and DNA creation. It also boosts energy, prevents heart disease, and improves memory.
Tonkin also takes digestive enzymes which reduce inflammation, cramps, and indigestion. They come in different forms, including lactase for milk, proteolytic enzymes for protein, lipase for fat, and amylase for carbs.
