Mila Kunis moved from from Ukraine to the US when she was 7. She enrolled in after school acting classes and was quickly discovered by an agent. Her first significant role was on That ‘70s Show. Her breakout film role came in 2008 in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and she earned critical acclaim for her performance in Black Swan in 2010. She has since appeared in other films including Max Payne, Ted and Bad Moms. She still plays the voice of Meg Griffin on Family Guy. Kunis has also done some modeling, including for Dior and she was a global brand ambassador for Gemfields. Kunis married co-star Ashton Kutchner in 2015; they have 2 children together. She has hundreds of thousands of followers on social media. She is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs about 115 lbs.
Mila Kunis’s Diet
Kunis was already slim before Black Swan, but she lost an additional 20 lbs for her role as a ballerina. As a self-described foodie, she had never been on a diet before, but with will power and a food delivery service, she stuck to a 1,200 calories a day and got her weight down to 95 lbs. over a period of 5 months. She ate a lot of lean protein like chicken breast, fish and legumes, veggies, and complex carbs like brown rice and quinoa. But as soon as filming was over, she regained the weight almost immediately. To prepare for her role in Friends With Benefits and following her 2 pregnancies, Kunis followed a low-carb diet.
- Low-Medium Carb 25% 25%
- Low-Medium Fat 25% 25%
- Medium-High Protein 70% 70%
Kunis followed a diet that was low in calories to help her achieve the body of a ballerina. She did it by only eating foods that are nutrient-dense, and not eating any junk.
Kunis had enough to do sticking to her diet, and so she used a meal delivery service to help her by having her meals all ready to go so she didn’t actually have to count calories.
Watch Your Metabolism
A downside to eating a low-calorie diet is that it can slow your metabolism, making it increasingly difficult to lose weight, and to keep it off. A slow metabolism also makes it more likely for your body to store energy as fat.
Kunis lost all of her pregnancy weight in just 3 months by eating lots of low-carb veggies, including cauliflower and jackfruit, and purging her house of all sugary, processed foods.
To help curb her appetite, Kunis admits to smoking during her preparation for Black Swan. There are definitely healthier ways to drop the lbs.
Kunis loves a nice piece of dark chocolate. Her other favorite treat is wine. She also won’t say no to Chinese food or the occasional cheeseburger. Treating yourself once in a while can help prevent bingeing.

Mila Kunis’s Supplements
Mila Kunis hasn’t shared too much information about her supplement usage. The following are supplements that may be beneficial to those who follow a similar diet and workout routine to Kunis.
When prepping for various acting roles, Kunis has followed a limited diet, which can make it challenging to get all of her essential nutrients. Supplementing with a multivitamin is a smart idea to cover them.
As for individual nutrients, getting enough biotin can sometimes be hard on a low-carb diet. Biotin is a B vitamin that helps the body convert food into energy, and regulates blood sugar.
Potassium is another nutrient to consider supplementing if you go low-carb because it boosts metabolism. It is also an electro-lyte that can help eliminate some of the unpleasant side effects such as fatigue.
Magnesium is another mineral and electrolyte that many people can be deficient in whether or not they eat low-carb. It helps bal-ance blood sugar, lowers blood pressure and reduces the risk depression.
Vitamin E is an antioxidant that supports a strong immune sys-tem and can sometimes be hard to get enough from a low-carb diet.
Medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs)
Medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) are another smart addition to a low-carb lifestyle. They promote fat burning and weight loss, and may also reduce the risk of heart disease.
Kunis eats her veggies, but if you don’t get as many as you should, you could supplement with fiber to keep things moving through.
Mila Kunis’s Lifestyle
Living the American Dream
Kunis’ family immigrated to the US with the goal of having more opportunities for their children. She says they landed in New York on a Wednesday, and by Friday that same week, she was enrolled in school in LA.
Keeping It On the Down Low
Back in the early 2000, Kunis dated Macaulay Culkin and there were rumors of impending nuptials, but they came to nothing. All in all, she prefers to keep her private life private.
Kunis has suffered from chronic iritis that causes temporary blindness in one eye. She had surgery to correct the problem.
Kunis is noted for her striking eyes, and what makes them even more special is that they are two different colors: one is brown and the other is green. The condition is known as heterochromia iridum.
Kunis on Her Life Goals
‘My goal in life is to enjoy what I do, and never look back and say, “I wish I would have done that.”‘
Kunis on Being a Child Star
