About Dose For Your Liver

Dose claims to create supplements that include high-quality ingredients that work, such as turmeric, aloe vera, elderberry, and milk thistle. Dose For Your Liver is a wellness shot that includes turmeric, dandelion, milk thistle, and ginger powder to help improve liver function.

Dose For Your Liver Benefits

The Dose website claims Dose For Your Liver can aid in filtering unwanted elements in your liver and ensuring optimal liver function. They further claim this product is supported by a double-blind placebo-controlled study, which they have available for review on their website.

This study showed that Dose For Your Liver helped to improve participant’s liver health grade 4.5 times more effectively than the placebo, with a 50% decrease in AST and a 52% decrease in ALT liver function test levels.

It is formulated with the world’s first organically bioavailable curcumin (turmeric extract), which provides 24x more absorption compared to other turmeric shots. This product is non-GMO, vegan, gluten-free, kosher, zero sugar, and zero calories.

Dose For Your Liver Ingredients

Dose For Your Liver contains limited ingredients. The main ingredients in this wellness shot include turmeric, milk thistle, dandelion, and ginger.

dose for your liver supplement facts
  • Turmeric – There is sufficient evidence available to suggest that curcumin from turmeric can help improve liver function and may even be effective for certain liver diseases. There is some concern over potential liver issues because of turmeric, specifically in cases where black pepper was added for absorption; however, Dose For Your Liver does not include black pepper in their formula.
  • Milk Thistle – Milk thistle contains a flavonoid called silymarin that is hepatoprotective. This means that it helps to protect the liver from toxins that can cause liver damage in high doses, such as acetaminophen (Tylenol). Silymarin also acts as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compound.
  • Dandelion – Dandelion root is another herbal ingredient that has been used to help treat various liver diseases. It’s believed the antioxidant activity, as well as the hepatoprotective effects of dandelion root, maybe the cause. In fact, some animal studies found that dandelion root treatment reduced liver injury and improved liver function in those treated but more research is needed in human trials.
  • Ginger – Ginger root contains gingerol, a compound that acts as an antioxidant and can help reduce inflammation. Ginger root supplementation has been shown to potentially help protect against alcohol-related liver diseases and fatty liver; however, these are mainly in animal studies, and further human trials are warranted.

Claims vs. Reality

The Dose website claims Dose For Your Liver can aid in filtering unwanted elements in your liver and ensuring optimal liver function. These claims are supported by a double-blind placebo-controlled study, which they have available for review on their website.

This study showed that Dose For Your Liver helped to improve participants’ liver health grade 4.5 times more effectively than the placebo, with a 50% decrease in AST, and a 52% decrease in ALT liver function test levels, among other positive benefits.

While this research is promising, the study was only conducted on 30 participants, which is a very small sample size. It was also conducted by Dose and not a third-party which can create the potential for a conflict of interest as Dose has a stake in the results.

With that said, the ingredients in Dose For Your Liver are not known to be associated with any severe negative side effects, are likely safe, and may even provide liver health benefits to those who take this supplement. As with any herbal product, user caution is advised.

Is Dose For Your Liver Safe?

The ingredients in Dose For Your Liver are considered safe and are not associated with any adverse side effects. The most common side effects that can occur when taking these ingredients include allergic reaction, nausea, vomiting, headache, upset stomach, or skin reactions. Turmeric, in some cases, can increase the risk of bleeding; therefore, those taking any blood thinners should use caution before adding a turmeric supplement.
