Transformation Protein Review

Muscle gain and weight loss are two of the most sought after goals by anyone interested in fitness and general health.

And these individuals often turn to supplements with the hopes of achieving these goals easier and faster.

Well, one supplement out there which claims to provide benefits for both muscle gain and weight loss (as well as overall health) is Transformation Protein.

In this Transformation Protein review, we’ll go over everything you need to know to see if it’s safe, effective, and ultimately worth buying.

Things to Consider

  • Transformation Protein is an alternative to dairy/whey-based proteins
  • The unique combo of plant and animal proteins still leads to a complete amino acid profile
  • This formula offers many other ingredients such as probiotics, prebiotics, enzymes, and MCT oil
  • It’s priced well over $3 per serving which may not be justifiable even though it may offer other health benefits beyond some more basic protein supplements
  • It contains carrageenan which is a questionable compound that may irritate the gut

About Transformation Protein

Transformation Total Body Protein is a diverse blend of egg white, collagen, and plant proteins to provide a wide variety of amino acids for protein synthesis, recovery, and muscle support.

This formula also contains a number of other compounds such as MCT oil, probiotics, and digestive enzymes to support body composition and overall health and wellness.

Ultimately, Transformation Protein was designed in this way to create “the perfect fuel for building lean muscle and promoting healthy fat metabolism.”

Plus, Transformation Total Body Protein is meant to be suitable for a wide variety of diets as it’s dairy-free, non-GMO, gluten-free, and keto-friendly.

Transformation Protein Benefits

With a more advanced line-up of ingredients compared to more basic protein supplements, Transformation Protein claims to offer a wider range of benefits, including:

  • Enhanced Muscle Growth
  • Better Recovery
  • Weight Loss & Metabolism Support
  • Improved Brain & Gut Health

Enhanced Muscle Growth

Transformation Total Body Protein contains a mix of egg white, collagen, pea, and pumpkin seed proteins, as well as added branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs). Together, they claim that this creates the perfect blend for increasing protein synthesis and enhancing muscle growth.

These sources deliver high amounts of the key amino acids your body needs to recover from intense training and build quality, lean muscle.

Better Recovery

Another advertised benefit of Transformation Protein is improved recovery. Their unique blend of protein sources and BCAAs was crafted to give your body all the nutrients it needs to repair muscles, so you can get back to training as soon as possible.

The recovery benefits may also be due to other properties, such as anti-inflammatory components in pea protein, as well as the joint support you get from collagen.

Weight Loss & Metabolism Support

Transformation Protein also claims to offer weight loss and metabolism support. And when combined with the muscle-building effects, this is designed to lead to total body recomposition.

This formula contains MCT oil and essential nutrients which they say boosts your metabolism and helps keep you full, leading to easier dieting and weight loss.

Improved Brain & Gut Health

Other advertised benefits of Transformation Protein are improved brain function and better gut health, which are mainly due to the blend of prebiotics, probiotics, and digestive enzymes.

All of these compounds are said to not only improve the gut microbiome, but also strengthen the gut-brain axis so you can feel better mentally too.

But does Transformation Protein really deliver all of these benefits?

Keep reading to find out!

And there are also other ingredients for flavor, texture, and mixability.

Protein Blend

The protein blend consists of pea protein, hydrolyzed collagen, egg white protein, and pumpkin seed protein.

These four are all quality protein sources which together provide all of the essential amino acids. Each serving offers 30g of protein which is definitely a good amount proven to support recovery and muscle growth.

Also, some of these ingredients may have other health benefits too. For example, pea and pumpkin seed protein may have anti-inflammatory properties and could improve metabolism.

And collagen contains a unique amino acid profile which may also benefit skin and joint health.

Medium Chain Triglycerides

Medium chain triglycerides (MCTs) are a type of saturated fat found in various sources such as coconut oil. These specific fats may be able to improve fat metabolism in the body while also boosting satiety.

Over time, this could help with fat loss but it doesn’t seem to be anything major.

Fiber Blend

The Fiber Blend consists of guar gum, gum arabic, cellulose gum, xanthan gum, and carrageenan.

The first four of these are all quality fiber sources, which act as prebiotics and can promote the growth of good bacteria in the gut. And this may lead to better digestion and fewer gut problems such as diarrhea or bloating.

However, the last one, carrageenan, doesn’t really have any benefits and may also lead to gut inflammation in some people.

BCAA Blend

The BCAA Blend contains leucine, isoleucine, and valine. These are the three BCAAs, which are specific essential amino acids known for their important role in muscle protein synthesis (especially in the case of leucine).

Taking in BCAAs might help a little bit with recovery and soreness but they don’t seem to help too much with muscle growth especially if you’re already eating enough quality protein.

Digestive Blend

The last component in Transformation Protein is the Digestive Blend. It contains Bacillus coagulans (a probiotic) as well as several digestive enzymes:

  • Alpha amylase
  • Protease
  • Cellulase
  • Lipase
  • Lactase

Bacillus coagulans is a probiotic (a type of good bacteria in your gut). This can improve digestion, stimulate good bacteria, and reduce harmful bacteria; all of which can lead to better gut health

And then there are five different digestive enzymes which all help break down different nutrients. Amylase breaks down carbs; protease digests protein; cellulase breaks down cellulose; lipase helps with fat digestion; and lactase breaks down lactose.

Together, they can improve your body’s digestive capabilities which may lead to decreased bloating, stomach pain, or other issues.

Does Transformation Protein Work?

Overall, Transformation Protein is a quality supplement that seems to work for muscle building and general health.

They provide an effective dose of 30g of protein per serving, which comes from sources that are known to be beneficial and rich in amino acids.

It’s not clear exactly how beneficial the other ingredients will be, though, since we don’t know the doses. It certainly ahs the potential to offer other benefits (e.g. weight loss support, improved digestion), but without knowing how much of these ingredients are in this formula, we can’t say exactly what you’ll get from them.

Although we do know there’s 3g of fiber per serving, which is a decent amount that can help support gut health and possibly satiety.

How Does Transformation Protein Compare?

Transformation Total Body Protein is a pretty unique protein supplement because it has a mix of both plant and animal proteins, yet it’s also free from the very common whey protein.

There really aren’t many formulas out there that offer this unique combo of egg, pea, pumpkin seed, and collagen.

Who is Transformation Protein Best For?

Transformation Protein is best for people who are looking for a dairy and whey-free protein that still provides all essential amino acids and supports muscle growth and recovery.

It is also for those looking to improve gut health, boost metabolism, and support all-around wellness.

Is Transformation Protein Safe?

Transformation Total Body Protein is generally safe for most individuals. There are possible side effects, such as:

  • Bloating
  • Upset stomach
  • Other digestive issues
  • Allergic reactions

Also, Transformation Protein is made in a cGMP-compliant, FDA-registered facility. It is non-GMO, gluten-free, dairy-free, keto-friendly, and free from artificial sweeteners, flavors, and fillers. But it does contain egg.

Where to Buy Transformation Protein

You can buy Transformation Total Body Protein on the Transformation Protein website.

There are 18 servings (36 scoops) per container. It comes in two flavors:

  • Vanilla Ice Cream

The regular price is $69.95 ($3.89/serving), or you can choose the Subscribe option, which cuts off 15% and lowers the cost to $59.46 ($3.30/serving).

Transformation Protein Website

So, at well over $3 per serving, Transformation Protein is very pricey and well over the cost of most other protein supplements.

You could argue that Transformation Protein has a wider variety of ingredients, but since we don’t know the doses for those “extra” ingredients it’s sort of unclear if that price is actually reasonable.

The overall reviews are good, but this price still may just be too high for a lot of people.

Verdict: Transformation Protein Review

Transformation Protein is a well-formulated protein supplement with high-quality protein sources and other ingredients to boost your overall health, such as probiotics, fiber sources, and MCT oil.

However, the doses for many ingredients are unclear. So even though we know it provides 30g of protein (which is great), it’s not clear if they use effective doses for the other important ingredients. And this is important since it’s those ingredients that mainly set it apart from other protein supplements.

And all of this has to be considered with regard to the price, as many people will find over $3 per serving to be too much to shell out.

Not to mention that it contains carrageenan, which may be harmful for some individuals.

All things considered, Transformation Protein could certainly still be worth it for some people if they get a wide variety of benefits (which of course you’ll only know after trying it). But there are also a variety of other less-expensive options that can deliver close to the same results and without carrageenan.
