TestoGen vs. Testo Prime: Supplement Formulation

First, we want to take a look at the formulations for TestoGen and Testo Prime and see how they stack up against each other.

Key Minerals

In TestoGen, they have 10mg of zinc, 8mg of boron, and 200mg of magnesium.

testogen ingredients

Testo Prime only has one mineral, zinc, but it’s dosed considerably higher at 40mg.

Zinc and boron are powerful micronutrients involved in testosterone synthesis and overall hormonal health.

And magnesium has been shown to reduce stress and help increase testosterone, especially for athletes.

Basically, you don’t want to be deficient in any of these minerals, or you run the risk of higher stress and lower T.

TestoGen probably takes the win here since it includes three key minerals, but Testo Prime has a more effective dose of zinc at 30mg.

Vitamin D3

Another very common ingredient in t-boosters (such as EVLTEST) is vitamin D3. Vitamin D is involved in testosterone and overall hormonal support. And deficiencies are closely related to low T, poor mood, and even reduced exercise performance.

Vitamin D supplementation doesn’t always show benefits, but it can be really helpful for people who are deficient.

TestoGen comes with 50mcg of this key vitamin, whereas Testo Prime has only 27mcg.

Additionally, TestoGen has vitamin K1 to enhance the absorption of vitamin D, but this isn’t in Testo Prime.

B-Complex Vitamins

Both TestoGen and Testo Prime have B-complex vitamins. However, TestoGen has just vitamin B6, whereas Testo Prime has vitamin B5 and vitamin B6.

Vitamin B6 is a very important vitamin for keeping your energy high and metabolism working well. And a deficiency in vitamin B6 may lead to lower testosterone and higher estrogen.

In TestoGen, you get 20mg compared to only 5.6mg in Testo Prime.

Also, a vitamin B5 deficiency is linked to lower testosterone too, so you need this B-vitamin for higher T.

D-Aspartic Acid

Another similarity between TestoGen and Testo Prime is that they both have d-aspartic acid (DAA), which is also found in many other t-boosters, including Hunter Test

DAA is an amino acid that has been shown to stimulate the natural production of testosterone and luteinizing hormone, which is needed for the eventual creation of testosterone.

TestoGen packs in 2,352mg, and Testo Prime is right behind it with 2,000mg of this amino acid.

Fenugreek

It’s nice to see that TestoGen and Testo Prime have fenugreek in their formulas. Fenugreek is an herbal compound known for its ability to inhibit testosterone to estrogen conversion, which leaves more available testosterone. It has also been shown to boost strength, energy, mood, libido, and well-being and, in some cases, reduce body fat.

testoprime ingredients

TestoGen is on the low end with this ingredient since it contains only 40mg, whereas Testo Prime has a much higher dose of 200mg in 4:1 extract form (which is equivalent to 800mg).

Ginseng

Another herb included in both Testo Prime and TestoGen is Korean ginseng (also known as Asian ginseng or Panax ginseng).

Ginseng is a well-known stimulant and adaptogen that may help to boost endurance and energy while also fighting fatigue and improving mood. Plus, ginseng has been shown to ramp up testosterone and DHT while also aiding libido and erectile function.

Both Testo Prime and TestoGen have 40mg, but Testo Prime has a 4:1 extract, whereas TestoGen has a 200:1 extract, so TestoGen is much more potent.

Other Herbs and Formulation Differences

There are also a number of herbal compounds unique to each formula that we’ll go over.

Firstly, TestoGen has 40mg of nettle leaf extract, which isn’t found in Testo Prime. And nettle leaf may be beneficial because it can reduce SHBG and estrogen, which allows more T to be available.

testogen capsules

But Testo Prime has a key ingredient called KSM-66 ashwagandha that isn’t in TestoGen. KSM-66 has been proven to reduce cortisol levels, which can result in higher testosterone. And ashwagandha is also known for being able to reduce stress and improve strength and endurance. TestoGen has a 12:1 extract dosage equivalent to over 600mg.

testoprime capsules

Lastly, Testo Prime has three other ingredients not included in TestoGen: extracts from green tea, garlic, and pomegranate.

All of these herbal extracts may be able to increase testosterone by offering antioxidant activity and improving teste and sperm health. Plus, garlic can decrease cortisol, and green tea may help with fat loss.

BioPerine

Finally, TestoGen and Testo Prime have BioPerine, which is a form of black pepper extract that can increase the absorption and bioavailability of the other ingredients.

TestoGen has 5mg, whereas Testo Prime has a bit more at 6.68mg.

TestoGen vs. Testo Prime: Benefits

Now, let’s talk about some of the benefits that TestoGen and Testo Prime might deliver.

Overall, they may offer some very similar benefits, including:

  • Increased testosterone
  • Lower estrogen and SHBG
  • Increased energy
  • Boosted libido
  • Lower body fat

And these all stem from the anabolic and t-boosting ingredients we looked at, such as the various herbs, vitamins, and minerals.

But there are also some unique benefits for each.

Specifically, TestoGen may offer these unique benefits:

  • Better workout recovery
  • Enhanced vitamin D absorption

And Testo Prime may also have its own unique benefits, such as:

  • More likely to increase strength
  • Probably better at stress reduction
  • Metabolism support

But they do list off a number of real-world reviews from customers, including written reviews but also video testimonials.

Both of these products have seemed to be beneficial for various men in their 30s, 40s, and beyond. A lot of men talk about how they gained more energy, increased strength, lost more body fat, and had a little better vitality.

There are multiple sellers on Amazon for each, but only TestoGen has enough reviews racked up to worth mentioning it.

TestoGen has an average 3.9 out of 5 rating based on over 1,900 reviews.

TestoGen vs. Testo Prime Other Considerations

In this next section, we’ll go over a number of other factors that are important in determining overall product quality. We’ll look at company reputation, return policies, order bonuses, dietary restrictions, safety, benefits, and dosage requirements.

Company Reputation

The companies behind TestoGen and Testo Prime seem to be pretty reputable and trustworthy overall.

TestoGen is made by Health Nutrition Limited, and Testo Prime is made by Wolfson Brands Limited. Both companies are well-respected and known in the health and wellness space.

Also, both companies manufacture their supplements in FDA-approved facilities, but it seems that only TestoGen is also GMP-certified.

And both work with different health professionals, fitness experts, and other consultants in developing their products.

Return Policies

No matter how good a product sounds, you want to have peace of mind knowing that you can get your money back if it doesn’t work out.

Fortunately, TestoGen and Testo Prime have pretty significant return policies.

TestoGen offers a 100-Day 100% Money Back Guarantee. You have to wait 50 days after buying to truly try it out. But if after 50 to 100 days you’re not satisfied, simply let them know, and they’ll give you a refund less $15 for shipping and admin costs.

TestoGen also allows you to cancel your order at any time until the 14th day after you receive your items. But it must be returned in its original form.

With Testo Prime, they offer a Lifetime Money-Back Guarantee. You have to try the product out for at least 30 days. But if you’re not satisfied after that period, let them know and return the product for a full refund minus shipping and handling costs.

Order Bonuses

Another interesting consideration is the order bonuses you can get when buying TestoGen or Testo Prime.

testogen supplement box

With TestoGen, you get two workout guides, one recipe book, and exclusive weekly video content with your order.

And with Testo Prime, you get two free e-books on all orders that are more than one bottle. The e-books are on t-boosting foods and how to add more power to your prime.

The serving size for TestoGen and Testo Prime is 4 capsules.

TestoGen vs. Testo Prime: Value

There are a number of purchasing options for TestoGen and Testo Prime.

The regular price for a one-month supply of TestoGen or TestoFuel is the same since both cost $59.99 ($2/serving).

There are also a few bulk options for each.

TestoGen

With TestoGen, you can buy a 2 months supply and get one month free for $119.99 ($1.33/serving). And you can also buy a 3 months supply and get two months free for $179.99 ($1.20/serving).

Testogen vs. Testo Prime: Summary

So, Testo Prime has the better value since it offers a better 3-month deal and all the other options are the same price between both.

And the ingredient dosage is pretty similar overall, so that doesn’t have much effect on value here, given that the prices are the same.

Which Supplement is Better?

Well, we’ve reached the end of this comparison of TestoGen vs. Testo Prime. And it’s time to make a decision.

A pretty tough one, I might add. After all, so many characteristics of TestoGen and Testo Prime are very similar, even all the way down to the price and number of capsules per serving.

However, after going over both of these supplements, Testo Prime appears to be the winner.

You could technically make a case for TestoGen since it has magnesium, boron, and nettle leaf, which are key ingredients not in Testo Prime.

However, Testo Prime has key ingredients that aren’t in TestoGen, particularly KSM-66 ashwagandha, but also green tea, garlic, and pomegranate.

More importantly, though, is that Testo Prime has significantly higher doses of some of the most important ingredients, such as zinc, fenugreek, DAA, and ginseng. By a lot, actually.

And with the pricing, company reputation, quality, and other factors pretty much identical, it’s the extra doses in Testo Prime that ultimately makes it the winner.

You really would likely get a boost in T if you chose either of these, but it seems that Testo Prime is a little bit better. And you can always get extra magnesium and boron through your diet or supplements to fill in some of the stuff that TestoGen has.
