Balance of Nature vs Juice Plus

Fruit and vegetable supplements offer us a way to get multiple nutrients from different fruits and vegetables – after all, it is nearly impossible to get all the fruits and vegetables needed in our diet! Additionally, there are those of us out there who simply don’t like or eat fruits and vegetables, and while fruit and vegetable supplements are certainly not a replacement for the real thing, they can be a great option for those who need to get some sort of fruit and vegetable amount into their diet.

The question is, what fruit and vegetable supplement is the right choice? There are plenty out there, so making a decision can be tough. That’s why in this article, we are going to review two well-known options, Balance of Nature and Juice Plus. These are both big names when it comes to fruit and vegetable supplements, but how do they differ? Above all, which of them is better? We are going to find out in this comparison of Balance of Nature vs. Juice Plus.

So, without any further ado, let’s get started!

What are Fruit and Vegetable Supplements?

Fruit and vegetable supplements are simply supplements that are made from real fruits and vegetables. Their main goal is to supplement our body with the different nutrients and compounds, such as antioxidants that fruits and vegetables can give us.

Fruit and Vegetable Supplements

One of the reasons why fruit and vegetable supplements are worth checking out is because you can get numerous nutrients from numerous fruits and vegetables in a convenient way. I mean, you won’t just eat these stacks of fruits and vegetables in one sitting!

Second, fruit and vegetable supplements are also great for people who do not eat vegetables or fruits. That being said, these supplements are in no way a replacement for real foods, but consuming them alongside real, whole, and healthy foods can bring in added benefits for your health.

Now that you know what fruit and vegetable supplements are, let’s talk about the two fruit and vegetable supplements that we have today: Balance of Nature and Juice Plus. How do they differ? What are their benefits? Above all, which of them is better? Let’s discuss it down below!

About Balance of Nature

When it comes to fruit and vegetable supplements, Balance of Nature offers Fruits & Veggies. According to the product description of Fruits & Veggies, the supplement is “100%, all-natural whole food supplements.” The product is gluten-free, sugar-free, non-GMO, and it is free from any artificial sweeteners and fillers. However, it does contain soy. If you are allergic to soy, you may want to think about it before purchasing Balance of Nature.

Balance of Nature

Balance of Nature’s primary mission is to help you get rid of your “blah,” which are things that prevent you from “doing the things you enjoy with the people you love.” With Balance of Nature’s products such as Fruits & Veggies, they aim to help you remove the “blah” of your life and live a more healthy and fulfilling life.

About Juice Plus

If Balance of Nature has Fruits & Veggies, Juice Plus has Fruit & Vegetable Blend Capsules (later on, we simply call them by their brand names, Balance of Nature and Juice Plus. I just want to emphasize that these brands have other products, or they have variations from their fruit and vegetable supplement).

Juice Plus

The main goal of Juice Plus is to help people “bridge the gap between what you should eat, and what you do eat.” They do this by offering supplements that are made from real foods, particularly fruits and vegetables.

Juice Plus’ Fruit & Vegetable Blend Capsules offers the following benefits:

  • Cardiovascular wellness support
  • Immune function support
  • Lung function support
  • Gums and skin health support

Juice Plus’ Fruit & Vegetable Blend Capsules is gluten-free, vegan, non-GMO, backed by science, and it works great with different lifestyles.

Balance of Nature vs. Juice Plus: Ingredients

What we discussed above is just the basic information of Balance of Nature and Juice Plus. Now, we are going to discuss what we will get from these two supplements – their ingredients. This is important because, by knowing a supplement’s ingredients, we are getting to know what to expect and even if the supplement can potentially deliver its promised benefits or not.

That being said, let’s get to the two supplements’ ingredients. Let’s start with the Balance of Nature.

Balance of Nature Ingredients

Balance of Nature comes in two bottles: one bottle labeled as “Fruits” and one labeled as “Veggies.” Balance of Nature’s ingredients come in three proprietary blends, which applies both to “Fruits” and “Veggies”:

  • Maintain Blend
  • Protect Blend
  • Repair Blend

Balance of Nature Ingredients

However, the ingredients used in their proprietary blend are different. Fruits are used for, well, “Fruits” bottles and vegetables for “Veggies” bottles. That being said, here are the ingredients of “Fruits” and “Veggies.”

Fruit – Aloe Vera, Apple, Banana, Blueberry, Cherry, Cranberry, Grape, Grapefruit, Lemon, Mango, Orange, Papaya, Pineapple, Raspberry, Strawberry, and Tomato.

Veggies – Broccoli, Cabbage, Carrot, Cauliflower, Cayenne Pepper, Celery Stalk, Garlic, Kale, Onion, Shiitake Mushroom, Soy Bean, Spinach, Wheat Grass, Yam, and Zucchini.

Juice Plus Ingredients

Juice Plus comes pretty similar to Balance of Nature. To begin with, they come in two bottles: “Fruit Blend” and “Vegetable Blend.” Also, as you can already tell, the ingredients of the two bottles differ – one for fruits and one for vegetables.

Juice Plus Ingredients

That being said, here are some of the ingredients used for “Fruit Blend” and “Vegetable Blend.”

Fruit Blend – Apple, Peach, Cranberry, Orange, Mango, Lemon peel, Acerola cherry, Pineapple, Prune, Dates, and Beets.

Vegetable Blend – Broccoli, Parsley, Tomato, Carrot, Garlic, Beet, Spinach, Cabbage, Lemon peel, Rice bran, and Kale.

Balance of Nature vs. Juice Plus: Benefits

Since Balance of Nature and Juice Plus are both fruit and vegetable supplements, they essentially offer the same benefits such as nutritional supplements and support for different parts of your health like cardiovascular health, immune system, brain health, and others more.

Also, given the fact that Balance of Nature and Juice Plus were fairly similar in their ingredients – both have merely used fruits and vegetables, though the fruits and vegetables used do differ – we can say that they are going to deliver similar benefits.

Balance of Nature vs. Juice Plus: Customer Reviews

Now that we know the basics of Balance of Nature and Juice Plus, as well as their ingredients, let’s talk about what customers have to say about them.

Balance of Nature Reviews

Amazon Rating: 4.4 out of 5 from 2,305 global ratings

Balance of Nature Reviews

Many customers reported that the supplement worked for them. One even claimed that it’s the “best vitamins you can buy.” Also, another customer reported that he/she experienced increased energy and increased clarity of memory.

However, some reported that the supplement did not work for them and that the product is a “waste of time and money.” Some also noted that the price is very expensive.

Juice Plus Reviews

For Juice Plus, I cannot see an official store on Amazon nor reviews from their website. With that, I just rely on one Amazon listing of Juice Plus. The review goes as follows.

Amazon Rating: 4.6 out of 5 from 53 global ratings

Juice Plus Reviews

The majority reported that Juice Plus had worked well for them as a fruit and vegetable supplement. However, some noted that, despite being a great product, the cost of Juice Plus has increased. For instance, one noted that its cost “has become outrageous.” On the other hand, one reviewer reported stomach issues.

Balance of Nature vs. Juice Plus: Pricing

Balance of Nature costs $89.95 for a one-time purchase, while Juice Plus costs $50 for a recurring order per month. From this, we can tell that Balance of Nature is way more expensive than Juice Plus – nearing double the price of the latter!

That being said, it should be noted that Balance of Nature offers a “complimentary personal Health Coach,” which is something that you won’t get from other supplements. Still, I believe that the price is still too high for such a supplement. Additionally, though, it is worth noting that right now, if you use code “BonSave” you can get 20% off your Balance of Nature order.

On the other hand, Juice Plus’ price is also too pricey for such a supplement, but it is still more affordable compared to Balance of Nature – that is, even if we factor in Balance of Nature’s discount price of $69.95 for a subscribe-and-save promo.

Balance of Nature vs. Juice Plus: Which is Better?

Both Balance of Nature and Juice Plus are very similar in every aspect (aside from being both fruit and vegetable supplements), such as in their ingredients and potential benefits.

But if I am to choose between the two, I would pick Juice Plus. While Juice Plus is a little pricey for its product, it is still more affordable and reasonable compared to Balance of Nature, given that both have pretty much the same ingredients (Balance of Nature has a few more ingredients than Juice Plus, but they’re only 4-5 up in ingredient count compared to Juice Plus). If you find that you’re still on the fence, though, you can learn more in our complete review of Balance of Nature here and our complete review of Juice Plus here.
