Purely Inspired Organic Protein is a plant-based nutritional protein shake that boosts your daily nutrition. It is an all-natural protein powder blend that is designed to fuel your life “without all the extra junk.”

Everybody loves protein. Protein powders and shakes are extremely common workout supplements as they can boost muscle gain, reduce fatigue, and suppress the appetite until the next mealtime. Many people rely on protein powders to bulk up in the gym. However, with changing dietary trends and needs, there has been an increasing demand for plant-based alternatives in the food industry. As such, it is vital that every individual gets the opportunity to meet their nutritional needs whether they follow a regular, pescatarian, vegan, or vegetarian diet.

Purely Inspired Organic Protein serves as an alternative to synthetic and animal-based protein blends. Protein powders, in general, are effective, and Purely Inspired seems to be pretty decent, but you might be wondering: Does it actually work?

With so many protein powders out there, such as Orgain Protein and BioTrust Protein Powder, how do you know which is right for you?

This Purely Inspired Organic Protein review will take a specific look at the supplement and answer some crucial questions. We will cover the pros, cons, cost, ingredients list, taste, how it compares to non-vegan protein, and most importantly, whether or not it’s worth the purchase.

Who Makes Purely Inspired Organic Protein?

Purely Inspired Organic Protein is created by Purely Inspired, a nutrition and diet company specializing in supplements, meal plans, and healthy food options. Purely Inspired is an arm of the larger corporation Iovate, the company behind the popular MuscleTech and Six Star workout supplements.

Purely Inspired sells products online and allows customers to become product endorsers, which we assume is a program where customers can become distributors. We checked out Purely Inspired’s parent company, Lovate’s BBB page, and here is what we found:

They have an A rating, but the page is not accredited. The page has 0 customer reviews and only three customer complaints, all of which have been closed satisfactorily.

How Does Purely Inspired Organic Protein Work?

Protein powders generally are effective for workout goals, so there is precedent for thinking that Purely Inspired Organic Protein will be effective in meeting your workout goals. It supplies protein which is essential for muscle building, and minerals like calcium and iron.

Aside from the protein, Purely Inspired contains dietary fiber that can help digestion. It is dairy, soy, and gluten-free, which is a huge plus for us. This means that almost anyone can use purely Inspired Organic Protein.

Purely Inspired Organic Protein has positive reviews across the board on the product website and other retailers. Most customers seem to be delighted with the product’s performance. The most common complaint we found was that the powder sometimes has difficulty mixing with liquids.

Purely Inspired Organic Protein Ingredients

Purely Inspired’s ingredient list is actually straightforward and has proteins, fiber, and minerals. Most of the protein comes from brown rice and organic pea protein. Pea protein can be found in many protein supplements, like Owyn Protein. It contains about 4g of fats and 11g of carbohydrates. Each glass has just 160 calories, so it’s not too difficult to fit into a calorie-strict routine.

Purely Inspired also contains Calcium and a large dose of iron. In one sense, the basic ingredients mean that Purely Inspired is not too special as far as protein powders go, but it is more likely to be effective as it doesn’t rely on having some unique ingredient that sounds cool but doesn’t really do anything. Sometimes with protein, simpler is better.

How Does Purely Inspired Organic Protein Taste?

We found that a common complaint about this supplement was the taste. Some users said it tasted better than other vegan protein shakes they had tried, while others begged to differ. We think you may like or dislike the taste based on personal preferences and flavor options.

Plant Protein vs. Animal Protein

Animal proteins are generally termed as complete, meaning that they contain all nine essential amino acids. This is the most common disparity between plant and animal protein. Many plant proteins are incomplete. However, there are a few plant-based sources of complete proteins, like peas and soy.

Purely Inspired Organic Protein contains pea protein, one of the few complete plant-based proteins, so you may not be missing out on much by using it as an alternative.

Safety and Side Effects

Purely Inspired does not list any side effects on the product page, but we found a few combing through reviews. The most common side effects are:

  • Nausea
  • Constipation
  • Bloating
  • Gas
  • Upset stomach
  • Diarrhea

These are all fairly common side effects of protein drinks. The body needs some time to get used to processing all that protein and fiber, so you may initially experience some stomach trouble. These side effects usually go away as you get accustomed to taking the supplement.

Where to Buy Purely Inspired Organic Protein and Cost

You can buy Purely Inspired directly from the company’s website or a third-party online retailer such as Amazon. You can also buy it at select physical retailers. You can check and see if there is a location near you on the official website. A single 1.5 lbs. canister of Purely Inspired costs just $20, an extremely good value.

Purely Inspired Organic Protein: Is It Worth It?

Purely Inspired is not perfect by any means. It has a bit more sugar and carbs than we would like to see, and it most certainly has some filler ingredients that take up space and provide no nutritional value. However, the active ingredients are solid and are likely to be effective when combined with proper diet and regular exercise. There is good reason to think that purely Inspired can be an effective workout powder to help you build muscle and get the most out of your exercise. It is also a very reasonable price.
