Karen Lucille Hale grew up in Memphis, Tennessee. She was home-schooled and took singing and acting as a child. Hale first appeared on TV on a reality singing competition called American Juniors, and moved to Los Angeles at age 15, hoping to land a recording contract. She landed a few small acting roles in shows such as The O.C., Wizards of Waverly Place and How I Met Your Mother, but her big break came in 2009 when she was cast in Pretty Little Liars for which she received several nominations and awards including Teen Choice and People’s Choice. Hale has appeared on the big screen as well in films such as The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 and Truth or Dare.She also launched a successful music career. Her first album is called Road Between. Hale has over 24 million followers on Instagram. She is 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs about 119 lbs.
