Lucy Hale Workout and Diet
Karen Lucille Hale grew up in Memphis, Tennessee. She was home-schooled and took singing and acting as a child. Hale first appeared on TV on a reality singing competition called American Juniors, and moved to Los Angeles at age 15, hoping to land a recording contract. She landed a few small acting roles in shows such as The O.C., Wizards of Waverly Place and How I Met Your Mother, but her big break came in 2009 when she was cast in Pretty Little Liars for which she received several nominations and awards including Teen Choice and People’s Choice. Hale has appeared on the big screen as well in films such as The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 and Truth or Dare.She also launched a successful music career. Her first album is called Road Between. Hale has over 24 million followers on Instagram. She is 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs about 119 lbs.
Lucy Hale’s Diet
Hale follows a pescatarian diet, which means she consumes primarily plant-based products but also some seafood, and she loves her coffee. She avoids dairy and processed foods and fills up on things like eggs, avocados, salads, hummus and veggies. That said, her motto is ‘everything in moderation’ and if she’s out with friends, she’ll dig into the french fries, pasta, or whatever they’re having. In 2017, Hale gave up alcohol in favor of a healthier lifestyle. She’s a big fan of kombucha and she carries a water bottle pretty much everywhere she goes.

Hale says she goes to sleep thinking about her morning coffee. Her favorite breakfast food is avocado toast with a poached egg. Another staple is a breakfast burrito.
Hummus is a Mideastern dip made from a base of chickpeas and sesame, but just about anything can be added to it, like garlic, peppers or olives. Hale says she’s pretty picky about her hummus.
Ranch Is the Answer
Hale says she ate a ton of ranch dressing on her salads while she was recording her album Road Between.
One of Hale’s favorite cheats is her grandmother’s pancakes. She also won’t say no to pasta or fries.

Lucy Hale’s Workout Routine
Weekly Workout Routine
Hale works out every single day. She’ll meet up with her trainer, go for a hike or take a class. She also does circuit training and high-intensity interval training.
While Hale regularly exercises with her trainer, she also likes to take classes because she gets to see her friends, which motivates her.
Down With Down Dog
Hale says the one type of exercise she struggles with is yoga because she doesn’t like holding poses.
Mix It Up
Because she works out every day, Hale likes to keep things fresh. She’ll vary her routines between informal hikes, training at the gym and taking group exercise classes.
One of Hale’s go-to’s is Pilates, which is great for core muscles, flexibility, and a long, lean look.

Lucy Hale’s Supplements
Hale takes vitamin B-12 every day. B-12 is especially important for vegetarians and vegans because it can be hard to get enough of the vitamin from a plant-based diet.
Hale took spirulina for years. The blue-green algae is a powerhouse of antioxidants and other nutrients including B vitamins, copper and iron. It can lower inflammation, cholesterol levels and may even protect against cancer.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Hale went through a phase of taking a shot of apple cider vinegar every morning. Although she says these days, she’s more into kombucha, apple cider vinegar offers many proven health benefits, including weight loss, regulating blood sugar and cholesterol levels, and fighting cancer.

Hale says 8-10 hours of sleep is absolutely essential to her doing her best work, and that if she doesn’t get it, she needs tons of coffee.
Trick of the Light
Hale says she keeps an LED facial lamp at her bedside and uses it every night because it helps reduce acne and keep her skin looking dewy.
Hale says she ‘hoards’ face masks and has a whole drawerful in her house. She also gets professional facials every few weeks.
