Kristin Cavallari’s Diet
Diet Summary
When she was in high school, Cavallari would restrict carbs and calories during the week, then binge on the weekends. But she says pregnancy changed her attitude toward food. With her first pregnancy, Cavallari gave up all processed foods, a change she sticks with to this day. She does not eat foods with added sugar or salt, and while she does not especially avoid gluten, she will pass on anything that contains refined flour because she says it acts very similar to sugar in that it causes insulin to spike. Instead she goes for veggies, fruit and animal protein like chicken, fish or lean beef. She eats healthy fats from sources like coconut, olive oil, nuts and avocados, and avoids refined or processed ones including canola. She loves kombucha, smoothies, and tiger nut milk.

Diet Details
Smoothie Monster
Cavallari is a fan of green smoothies and she has one every day for breakfast. Her recipe is super simple: avocado, spinach and banana, with a little peppermint extract for an extra punch of flavor.
Nuts About Nuts
One of Cavallari’s go-to’s is cashews. She’ll do anything with them, in-cluding making cashew queso dip, cashew ice cream and blueberry ca-shew bars.
Soup It Up
Cavallari will often have leftovers from the previous night’s dinner for lunch the next day, but when that isn’t an option, she’ll make soup. Her secret hack for creamy-tasting soup without using actual cream is cashews, of course. She soaks the nuts in water and then purees them in the blender to create a non-dairy creaminess.
Family Time
Dinner is a family affair, and Cavallari will often have a burger without the bun, enchiladas with salad or chicken tacos so everyone’s happy.
Cheat Day
When Cavallari has a cheat day, she goes for the good stuff: Italian food (especially pasta), wings, burgers, and anything sweet.
