1balance Review

The world of supplements has grown so much over the years that customers are starting to demand a more personalized experience. It falls in line with the same demands we’re seeing from customers in other industries, so it’s only right that we see it with supplements too.

Personalized supplements are the new hot trend in today’s health and wellness community. From personalized vitamins such as Care Of Vitamins to personalized protein powders like Gainful, they’re popping up all over and giving customers an opportunity to formulate their own formulas without having to create their own product from scratch. It’s truly a unique way to supplement, no matter who you are!

While it was a luxury at first, it seems like every supplement company has its own version of personalized supplements nowadays. Since they’re not all created equal, though, finding the right one for you is just as difficult as finding any other supplement. Luckily, we’re here to help!

So let’s take a look at a unique personalized supplement called 1balance. 1balance is a rather new personalized vitamins company, but it has a lot of promise compared to some of its competitors and alternatives. Let’s take a closer look at what this company offers, how it works, and whether or not it’s worth it in this 1balance review!

What Is 1balance?

1balance is a personalized supplement company that has two subscription offerings — an herbal tea and an herbal capsule. Offering both is extremely beneficial for those that prefer one over the other, especially since you can sign up for one of them or both of them at the same time.

When it comes to personalized supplements, there aren’t many out there with as strong of a commitment to Ayurvedic traditional medicine as 1balance does. They utilize a wide range of different herbal supplements to create a one-of-a-kind formula for each individual.

While you won’t get to directly choose which herbal supplements they use, they have you answer several questions throughout a five-minute quiz. These questions are designed to learn a little more about your body type, metabolic profile, habits, routines, and goals.

If you’re looking to grow more attached to the many natural herbs found all around us, 1balance is a great way to start. They support over 35 traditional Ayurvedic herbs and are extremely forthcoming about what they’re putting in your supplement — as well as why it’s in there!

Are Personalized Supplements Worth It?

Supplements already exist. In fact, they’re already available in extensive, robust, and highly-beneficial formulas that are helping people all over the world. If this is true, why do people need personalized supplements, and what’s so special about them?

While it’s true supplements already exist, it doesn’t mean supplements are made for everyone. In fact, most supplements that exist are only going to work for a select group of people. Everyone else is going to be stuck looking for another brand or another formula until they find one that works.

With personalized supplements, you don’t have to guess anymore. You don’t have to sit and wonder if a supplement is going to be right for you, and you don’t have to deal with buyer’s remorse every time you make a purchase. Instead, you get a supplement that’s 100% designed exclusively for you.

In fact, you have a lot of control over what’s included in the supplement when you fill out the questionnaire. As long as you take the questionnaire seriously and answer honestly, you’ll have a highly-effective supplement knocking at your doorstep in no-time.

How Does 1balance Work?

Some personalized supplements are extremely difficult to get started because they feature some kind of at-home stool or blood test that needs to be sent back before anything happens. That’s not the case with 1balance. Instead, they make the process extremely easy for everyone.

There are really only four steps involved, and it’ll only take you around 10-15 minutes to complete. Here’s a look at the process from start to finish:

  1. Take the Quiz – the quiz is very short and only takes five minutes to complete. It’ll ask about your current health, your metabolic nature, and other metabolic measures.
  2. Discover the Results – after you complete the quiz, they send you a detailed report within seconds. The report goes over which herbs you should target in your tea and capsule.
  3. Sign Up for Subscription – by signing up, 1balance will send you a one-month supply every month that you’re on the subscription. You can choose the tea, capsule, or both.
  4. Take the Supplement – when the supplement arrives, you’ll need to take it daily. You should wait a few weeks before expecting to see results, but it’s that easy!

1balance Quiz

While the quiz isn’t going to be as accurate as a stool or blood test, most people don’t need a stool or blood test to figure out what their body needs. To be honest, that’s generally something that’s done with your doctor on a regular basis anyway.

Instead, 1balance looks more at your routines and habits to get a feel for what your body needs. The more accurate you are with your answers, the better the formula they create for you.

Can You Trust 1balance With Your Supplement Routine?

The 1balance brand is the same brand that brought you CareJoy, an online health, and wellness community that spreads useful and relevant health information for everyone. They grew that platform to reach over 100 million people every month — meaning they’re reputable and real.

They care about your health just as much as you care about your health, and that’s exactly what they’ve proven over the years. With 1balance, their mission was simple — change people’s lives in a natural and herbal way. Where they once spread information, they now spread real health.

That’s not to say they don’t have the expertise, though. Their expert panel consists of Dr. Yashaswini Bharadwaj, a registered practitioner and accredited subject expert for Ayurveda education in Australia. She knows more about traditional Ayurvedic medicine than most people.

Outside of her, there’s a team of four founders that work hard to ensure their supplements are top-of-the-line in every way possible. They dream of a healthier world where people can enjoy effective supplements in a way that’s comfortable for them.

1balance Ingredients

Now that we understand a little background behind what 1balance is, who they are, how it works, and whether or not you can trust them, we can finally start to look at the many different ingredients they use when formulating their supplements for each individual.

The good news is they only use natural herbs that are staples in traditional Ayurvedic medicine. There are over 35 different herbs they focus on when creating a specialized formula. Which ones they put in your supplement will 100% depend on the 5-minute quiz they have you take.

1balance Personalized Supplements Ingredients

The Herbs You Might See In Your Formula

Lemon Myrtle, Lemon Verbena, Mandarin Rooibos, Saffron, Vidanga, Velvet Bean, Turmeric, Tribulus, Shatavari, Spearmint, Senna, Psyllium, Passionflower, Peppermint, Nutmeg, Maté, Licorice, Lemongrass, Lavender, Kantakari, Jatamansi, Jasmine, Guduchi, Vidari, Holy Basil, Green Tea, Ginger, Fenugreek Seeds, Fennel, Eleuthero, Eclipta, Dwarf Morning Glory, Darjeeling Tea, Dandelion, Cyperus, Coriander Seeds, Cumin, Cloves, Cinnamon, Chitrak, Chebulic Myrobalan, Cardamom, Chamomile, Calendula, Boerhavia, Black Pepper, Bhumiamalaki, Belleric Myrobalan, Bay Leaf, Bacopa Monnieri, Arjuna, Ashwagandha, Andrographis, Amla, and Aloe Vera.

As you go through your full detail report after completing the quiz, they’ll list out around 9 ingredients that you could benefit from based on your answers. There will actually be more ingredients listed, but half of them will be for the capsule and the other half for the herbal tea.

It’s completely up to you which one you want, and they do an excellent job of explaining what each ingredient is, what the research is behind it, and why they think you could benefit from it.

1balance Dosage, Packaging, And Pricing

Compared to some of the other supplements on the market today, 1balance doesn’t really go above and beyond with their packaging. It’s rather bland, plain, basic, and not that appealing to the customer’s eye. With that said, it gets the job done — which is what really matters.

They offer two different subscriptions after taking the test — one for the herbal tea and one of the capsules. For the capsules, they come in your everyday pill bottle with a yellow label and dark lettering. Each bottle comes with 60 capsules, and you’re directed to take 2 capsules per day.

On the other hand, the herbal tea supplements come in a thin cylinder tin can with a tan label and dark lettering. The herbal tea packaging is a little more calm and appealing than the pill bottle. In each tin can are 30 tea bags, which are used just like any other tea bag.

For those that want the cheaper option, you’re better off choosing the herbal tea — which runs just $29/month or $46 for a two-month pack. At $39/month or $62 per two-month pack, you can receive your herb mix in a capsule. If you want both, it will cost $68 per month or $108 for a two-month pack.

1balance Pros vs. Cons

It doesn’t matter what supplement you’re interested in, which one you just purchased, or which one you’ve been using your entire life — no supplement is perfect. No matter what, there’s going to be something that can be improved about the formula or manufacturing process.

Since no supplement is made for everyone and none of them are created equal, it’s highly important every customer has a firm grip on the various pros and cons associated with each supplement they’re interested in. Failure to do so could result in heavy buyer’s remorse!

Don’t worry; we’re going to list out the various pros and cons associated with 1balance’s herbal supplements — so let’s get started!

  • Can’t select your own herbs to use in the formula
  • Quiz isn’t as accurate as a stool or blood test

  • Have to take 2 capsules per day
  • No vitamins, minerals, or amino acids

Claims vs. Reality

1balance claims to keep your body healthy and provide it with the necessary nutrients it needs for optimum performance on a daily basis. While most supplements use dangerous and harmful ingredients in trying to achieve that, 1balance doesn’t. Instead, they stick with what they know.

In fact, they stick with the same ingredients that have been used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years. You can trust that they’re choosing quality, effective, safe, and accurate ingredients for your body, especially if you’re giving honest answers when completing the test.

Having Dr. Yashaswini Bharadwaj on their expert panel is a nice touch. She’s a registered practitioner and accredited subject expert for Ayurveda education in Australia, so she knows what she’s talking about when it comes to Ayurvedic ingredients.

Overall, you can tell they’re committed to offering a supplement that customers can trust day-in and day-out. They deliver on their core promises and aren’t putting your health in danger — which many supplement companies are doing, even if you don’t know it.

1balance Competitors And Alternatives

Personalized supplements are still a rather new concept in the supplement community, but that doesn’t mean customers aren’t left with options when searching for one. In fact, they’re starting to spring up everywhere, and they all offer something unique that the other doesn’t.

1balance is definitely up there in popularity when it comes to personalized supplements, but there are a couple of companies that provide a more robust, interactive, and accurate approach to this industry. Don’t worry; we’re going to take a look at two of the ones that are revolutionizing the way we view and take supplements daily.

Baze Personalized Supplements

Baze Personalized Supplements Website

The first personalized supplement that you should consider is Baze. It might take a little while before you receive your first month of supplements, but that’s because they send you an at-home blood test that you must send back with a blood sample. Sounds weird, right?

Don’t worry, it’s completely safe and isn’t suspicious at all. In fact, it helps Baze put together a supplement that’s based on real data and information that’s exclusive to you. Even with 1balance, there’s a bit of doubt as to whether or not the ingredients are right for you, but not with Baze.

There are a total of 15 ingredients they choose from. The ‘Essentials’ include choline, chromium, copper, magnesium, omega-3, selenium vitamin B12, vitamin D, vitamin E, and Zinc. The ‘Specialties’ include ashwagandha, elderberry, l-theanine, rhodiola, and turmeric.

The actual supplements are extremely cheap, shipping to you for just $15 per month. It’s the at-home test that most people fear, which costs $129 by itself or $99 when paired with a monthly subscription to the supplements. Overall, not a bad investment for a low monthly price.

Viome Personalized Supplements

Viome Personalized Supplements Website

Where Baze is a step above 1balance, Viome is a step above Baze. The main reason for this is the fact that Viome uses both a blood test and a stool test with their Health Intelligence Test — which gives them even more data and information than just a blood test.

They also offer a Gut Intelligence Test, which consists of just a stool test. Either way, you can purchase the tests by themselves or combined with monthly supplements. The gut test is used when creating a probiotic/prebiotic blend, while the health test is used for precision supplements.

Based on your test results, they choose from over 60 different probiotic and prebiotic strains — as well as a handful of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, herbs, and food extracts.

Be prepared because it’s rather expensive at $299 for a Gut Intelligence Test, $599 for a Health Intelligence Test, $60/month for the prebiotic/probiotic supplements, and $199/month for the precision supplements (and prebiotic/probiotic blend).

Final Verdict: Is 1balance Worth It?

Of all the personalized supplements that currently exist on the market today, there aren’t many — if any — that have such a strong commitment to traditional Ayurvedic medicine. Every ingredient they use comes with heavy research and thousands of years of use worldwide.

Any fan or supporter of Ayurvedic medicine should strongly consider 1balance when searching for a personalized supplement, but don’t feel like you need to limit yourself to just this brand. There is a wide range of personalized supplements out there that are currently taking over the industry.

Whether you’re interested in 1balance, Baze, or Viome, you can trust that your personalized supplement is designed for you and you only. That’s something most supplement companies can’t offer, especially since they’re all focused on creating a one-size-fits-all solution that doesn’t always work.
