There is a lot of thermogenic activity and its potential for burning fat. The idea behind thermogenics is that you increase your metabolism and burn more energy, thus increasing body heat. There are a lot of “sweet” based therapies based to help you lose weight as efficiently as possible.

The Sweet Sweat Waist Trimmer is a unique fitness belt band designed to increase the thermogenic burning of fat. The Sweet Sweat Waist Trimmer says that it can increase the rate of weight loss by increasing your core temperature during exercise.

There are a lot of products out there that claim to be an easy solution for weight loss. The Sweet Seat seems to be one of them; after all, the idea that you can lose more weight just by wearing a belt during exercise sounds attractive. But does it actually work?

Today we’re going to talk about the Sweet Sweat Waist Trimmer and talk about its features and whether it’s worth the purchase.

Sweet Sweat Waist Trimmer

Sweet Sweat Waist Trimmer: Overview

The Sweet Sweat is pretty simple in nature. It is basically a large thick squat belt that you wear around your waist while exercising. The Sweet Sweat is designed to make you sweat more around the torso region and work your stomach area.  The creators claim that the Sweet Sweat can help facilitate weight loss by heating up your core to boost the metabolism of fats.

The Sweet Sweat is made from a durable double-stitched material that has a non-slip layer on one side to repel moisture. The belt attaches around the waist with velcro and the belt itself is contoured and flexible to make workouts as comfortable as possible. The more you work out the more your sweat which helps you lose weight.

  • Durable and comfy material
  • Double velcro attachment
  • One side repels water
  • Boosts core temperature
  • Facilitates more fat burn

  • Heavy
  • Weight loss may be more to do with water loss than fat burn

Who Makes Sweet Sweat Waist Trimmer?

The Sweet Sweat Waist Trimmer is made by Sports Research, a fitness and sports equipment company. Sports Research was founded in 1980 and has been supplying people with top of the line sports equipment for almost 50 years. Sports Research prides itself on making its products from the highest-grade materials and sourcing the nutraceutical ingredients from natural sources around the world. We checked out Sports Research’s BBB page. They have an A+ rating and are an accredited profile but they have a very low customer rating average. There were only 2 complaints on the BBB page and both were resolved.

Sports Research does have a lot of customer reviews on their website and the majority of them are positive. There are some negative reviews floating around which is a good indicator that they do not scrub their page of negative reviews.

How Does Sweet Sweat Waist Trainer Work?

The Sweet Sweat Waist Trimmer claims that it can help you burn more weight by increasing your body’s core temperature. So naturally, you’re probably wondering, does sweating actually help you lose weight?

Here’s the thing: it kinda does. Sweating is the body’s natural way of regulating temperature. Your body sheds excess water and salt to help cool you off when overheated. Sweating does burn some calories, but not too much. However, sweating a lot can help you lose water weight though it is only a temporary loss.

So it seems that the Sweet Sweat can help you lose weight, albeit temporary water weight. The problem is that sweating does not cause you to lose weight from fat but that sweat is caused by the same thing that burns fat; i.e. increased body temperature. It is perfectly possible to lose weight without sweating at all, such as in swimming for example.

This means that the initial prognosis for Sweet Sweat is not good. It might be able to help you lose weight, but it would just be temporary water weight. You will recover that weight as soon as you drink and recover your fluids. Now to be completely fair, nowhere does it explicitly say that the Sweet Sweat is designed to help you burn fat, just lose weight. However, we feel this claim is pretty misleading as most people interpret “lose weight” as burn fat, not just sweat away water weight.

However, it is true that sweating can have a psychological effect and make you work out harder. Some people just feel like they are getting a better workout when they sweat, which motivates them to work harder.

That being said, the majority of customer reviews seem to indicate they are satisfied with the product. So if you do order one you will likely be happy with what you get.

Side Effects & Safety

The Sweet Sweat is perfectly safe to use. It has no known allergens in the fiber and there is no risk of getting caught in the belt as the velcro comes apart easily. The only side effects we could find mention of were how the belt can rub against the torso and cause discomfort if attached to tight. The Sweet Sweat comes with topical gel too which contains no negative ingredients.

Where to Buy Sweet Sweat Waist Trimmer and Cost

You can buy the Sweet Sweat Waist Trimmer directly from Sports Research’s website or from third-party retailers like Amazon. You can also buy it at select physical retailers. The Sweet Sweat belt costs $29.00.

Sweet Sweat Waist Trimmer: Worth It or Not?

The Sweet Sweat Waist Trimmer is a neat idea but unfortunately, there does not seem to be good evidence that it works in anything more than the short-term. It may help you lose water weight in the short term, but it’s not clear if it can help you burn fat or if it can help you get a more intense workout.
