Anna Wintour Workout and Diet

Editor-In-Chief
Born: 1949

Anna Wintour is originally from England and a member of the British aristocracy. Her father was the editor of the Evening Standard newspaper, and he would consult with Anna when she was a teen on how to make the paper more appealing to the younger generation. She became interested in fashion as a teenager and worked as a fashion journalist for a couple of British magazines before moving to the US to try writing on this side of the pond. In 1985, she moved back to London and became editor of Vogue magazine, then hopped back to New York in 1987 and took over the US version which was struggling at the time. Her opinions have sparked controversy, from elitism to promoting the wearing of animal fur. ‘Nuclear Wintour’ is considered to be one of the most powerful people in fashion, likewise she is infamous for being a difficult boss, and the book and film The Devil Wears Prada chronicles a former assistant’s experiences working for her. Wintour was granted the title of Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2008. She has 2 children. Wintour is a trustee of New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, has raised over $10 million for AIDS charities and started the CFDA/Vogue Fund to mentor unknown fashion designers. She is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 140 lbs.

vitamin D

vitamin D

Wintour has her diet down to a science, but by limiting her choices, she may be missing out on some nutrients and so a multivitamin wouldn’t be a bad idea. Although Wintour does engage in weight-bearing exercise through her daily tennis, supplementing with vitamin D and calcium is still wise for post-menopausal women to help keep bones strong.

omega-3

omega-3

Wintour eats fish, but if you’re not a fan, an omega-3 supplement is a good idea for brain health, and to fight inflammation.
