Paul Bettany is from England. After his younger died in an accident, Bettany dropped out of school at age 16 and started performing on the streets of London. He drifting around for some time before enrolling in the Drama Centre London. Soon after, Bettany started finding roles on stage and screen. He starred in A Beautiful Mind, but is perhaps best known for being the voice of J.A.R.V.I.S. and playing Vision in several MCU films, including Iron Man, Captain America and Avengers. He also wrote, co-produced and directed the 2014 film Shelter. Bettany has millions of followers on social media. He married actress Jennifer Connelly in 2003 and they have 2 children together. He is 6 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs about 195 lbs.
Paul Bettany’s Diet
Bettany admits to being a ‘beer and bread’ guy, but he knows how to get completely ripped to play superhuman characters like an archangel or a superhero. His approach is simple if not easy: eat small portions of lean meat and veggies, and cut out the carbs. To play Darwin in Creation, he packed on an incredible 45 lbs. He says that for about 2 weeks it was fun to eat whatever, but then it became a bit of a slog.

Bettany’s idea of a good meal involves carbs. But things like bread, pasta, and alcohol are anathema to 6-pack abs and so he cuts back as needed for his various roles.
Bettany is a carb-lover at heart, but he has discipline and does what he needs to do to look the part. If that means chicken breast and veggies, so be it. Or if it’s to play a paunchy scientist, he’s willing to stuff his face, all for the sake of his art.
Bettany jokes that he is ‘genetically designed’ to sit on a veranda and be served alcoholic beverages, cheese, and bread.

Bettany says that while it was tempting to take a break from training during the shutdown, he would only have 2 weeks’ notice when they got called back, and so he didn’t let himself slide too much for fear of the payback.
Bettany works out with his trainer 5 days a week doing interval circuits. He starts with core and then does 3 rounds of circuits.
Bettany says getting fit doesn’t have to be complicated. Show up, lift heavy weights, and don’t stuff your face afterwards. That’s it.
