Madelaine Petsch’s Lifestyle
Practicing Gratitude
Petsch says playing characters who struggle with depression and suicidal tendencies has made her reflect on what’s important in life. She checks in with her friends regularly and lets them know how much she appreciates them.
Facing Down Her Fears
Petsch may drink a lot of water, but she’s not so keen on taking a dip in the stuff following a terrifying experience being pulled under by a strong ocean current in South Africa. She had a full-blown panic attack when she learned she had to go out in a rowboat for a scene, but says once she told herself it was the character in the boat, she was okay with it.
Brow Mistakes
Petsch says she used to make the mistake of not filling in her eyebrows, which led her to look like she had a huge forehead.
Hair Quandary
Petsch says her hair is nothing if not unpredictable. She never knows when it will behave and when it won’t, and must constantly switch up products to get it into shape. She often wears it in a bun to save time.
Petsch on Her Fear of Water
‘Once we started shooting, I was fine. I was like, “It’s fun. It’s Cheryl. It’s not me.”’
Petsch on Appreciating Life
‘We need to start taking our lives a little bit more one second at a time, appreciating and savoring all of those moments.’
Petsch on Makeup
‘I truly love Cheryl’s bold makeup look but…I’m much more into the nude, natural vibe.’
Petsch on the Makeup Mistakes of Her Youth
‘I look back on photos from when I was in high school, and I’m like, “Please never see the light of day.”’
Petsch on Her Hair
‘My hair is really weird. Sometimes it’ll respond to a product perfectly, and the next day, it won’t like that product any more.’
