Lori Harvey was born in Memphis, Tennessee and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. She is the adopted daughter of comedian Steve Harvey who her mother married in 2007. Harvey was a competitive horseback rider in her youth but had to give it up after an injury. She began modeling in 2015 and has modeled for many international brands including Dolce & Gabbana, Michael Kors and Burberry. Harvey dated actor Michael B Jordan from 2020-2022. In 2021, Harvey launched SKN by LH skincare. She has also collaborated on a fashion line with Naked Wardrobe. Harvey has millions of followers on social media. She is 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs about 110 lbs.

Diet Summary

Harvey’s diet of 1,200 calories per day received a lot of backlash online, but she says it’s what worked for her. She lost 15 lbs of what she calls ‘relationship weight’ because she was very unhappy with how it made her look and feel. She focused on eating lean meat and plenty of veggies while avoiding carbs and adding in regular exercise to drop those 15 lbs. One of Harvey’s go-tos is celery juice which she has every morning. Presumably she drinks plenty of water too.

Harvey starts her day off with a tall glass of celery juice. She says a trainer got her hooked on the anti-inflammatory, pro-digestion stuff that is chock-full of antioxidants.

Calorie Deficit

Harvey followed a 1,200 calorie per day maximum diet, which earned her a lot of blowback and had experts everywhere saying it’s unhealthy, but Harvey is happy with the results. Calorie deficit is a proven method of weight loss.

Low-Carb Queen

Not all calories are created equal, and Harvey makes a point to focus on protein which fills you up and lets you feel satisfied for longer. She also avoids carbs which can lead to a rollercoaster blood sugar ride.

Harvey was serious about getting back into shape, and made a commitment to work out 5-6 days a week to tone up.

Pilates Power

Harvey’s main go-to for exercise is Pilates. She says she did it occasionally in the past, but she has committed to doing Pilates nearly daily for the past year.

Don’t Forget the Cardio

Harvey also sometimes adds in a cardio routine after her Pilates workout. It might be high-intensity interval training (HIIT), a hike, or doing StairMaster.

Harvey says she uses the Calm app at night and the Chopra meditation app first thing in the morning to keep her relaxed and energized.

When Harvey needs to reset, she’ll either go outside for a walk or hike, read a book, or call her mom.

Harvey says that like drinking celery juice which many people consider a strange habit, she is also into cold-plunging. She loves both and say they both do great things for her health.

Legal Issues

In 2019, Harvey was arrested for fleeing the scene of a collision, and eventually charged with resisting and obstructing the police and hit and run. She took a plea deal of 2 years probation.
