Lily Collins is the daughter of Phil Collins and Jill Tavelman. She was born in England and grew up in Los Angeles. Collins got an early start in show biz, acting in the BBC’s Growing Pains at age 2. She acted and modeled throughout her child and teen years. In 2009, Collins appeared in a couple of episodes of 90210 and then landed her breakout role in The Blind Side. Other lead roles include in Priest, Mirror Mirror and Love, Rosie. She also earned a Golden Globe nomination for Rules Don’t Apply. Her latest role is on Netflix’s Emily in Paris which earned her a Golden Globe nomination. Collins wrote a memoir about her struggles with an eating disorder and mental health issues. She is an ambassador for the anti-bullying organization Bystander Revolution and the GO Campaign benefitting vulnerable children. She married director Charlie McDowell in 2021.Collins has millions of fans on social media. She is 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs about 115 lbs.
Lily Collins’ Diet
Collins has been open about the eating disorder she suffered as a teen which included bingeing and purging junk food and taking laxatives and diet pills. In To The Bone, Collins lost 20 lbs. to play the role of a character with an eating disorder. For her normal diet, she drinks lemon juice with water first thing, then has oatmeal and fruit. Lunch is something wholesome like salmon, quinoa and salad, and she usually has dinner out. She noshes on veggies, fruit and fresh juices throughout the day to keep her energy up. In addition to fresh juices, she drinks a lot of tea throughout the day to stay warm, but she sticks to herbal to avoid the downsides of caffeine. She struggles to make herself drink water, but she keeps trying.

Collins starts her day by drinking lemon juice and water which helps purge the body of impurities.
Collins has had a complicated relationship with food, so now her rules are simple: eat fresh, whole, natural foods and skip the guilt.
A big part of what sent Collins down the route of bingeing, purging and diet pills was feeling like she wasn’t good enough. She treats herself with kindness and forgiveness, and extends this attitude to others because she says you never know what’s going on inside someone else.
Collins often feels chilly, and so she drinks tea to warm herself up, but limits herself to 2 cups a day of the caffeinated kind.

Collins admits to preferring an early dinner, and struggles to break out of her routine. She says her crew will be one at the restaurant at 6:30 pm.
