Kaley Cuoco grew up in California. She was homeschooled and started playing tennis at age 3 and became a nationally-ranked amateur. Cuoco began acting as a child as well, and found small roles on tv and film starting at age 8. Her breakout role was on 8 Simple Rules but she is probably best known and has won awards for playing Penny on The Big Bang Theory. Cuoco has a production company called Yes, Norman named after her dog. She was briefly married to tennis player Ryan Sweeting, and married Karl Cook (son of billionaire Scott Cook) in 2018. She is a spokesperson for The Humane Society. Although Cuoco limits her social media presence, she has millions of followers on Instagram. Cuoco is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 125 lbs.
Kaley Cuoco’s Diet
Cuoco says she never had to think about her weight or diet when she was young, lucky gal. But she was always active and played tennis which certainly had something to do with it. These days, she admits she has to pay a little more attention and does so by eating only whole, natural foods and watching her portions. She also avoids meat and only occasionally eats fish, making her a pescatarian, which is a vegetarian who includes seafood in her diet. Cuoco loves animals, which is also part of her decision to avoid animal products.

Cuoco says one of the smartest things she did was to get rid of any temptation from her cabinets, such as chips, soda and sugar cereal.

Lunch for Cuoco might be just half a sandwich. She says she prefers to eat at restaurants where they list the calories of each item because it helps keep her more accountable.

Fish and veggies make up a typical dinner for Cuoco. She mostly avoids carbs as the day goes on. As for animal proteins, other than fish, she says she won’t touch them.

Cuoco works with a trainer 3 times a week. Her main focus is abs, arms and derriere. She usually does circuits of 3-6 exercises.
Find Your Thing
Cuoco says she tried a lot of different exercise regimens, including Pilates and running, but yoga was thing that spoke to her.
Cuoco says she absolutely loves her hot yoga classes and that they make her feel great. She goes 5 days a week.
Cuoco’s other love is horseback riding, which is not only great exercise, but it’s how she met her husband.

Insecurity Leads to Surgery
Cuoco says she has long suffered from low self-esteem, and had a boob job at age 18. She also had a second tattoo inked to cover up the date of her first wedding.
Cuoco suffers from chronic pain in her legs, in part due to breaking her leg after a horse fell on her. Amputation was considered, but instead she had 2 permanent metal rods put in. Her character on The Big Bang Theory had to be artfully shot, hiding her cast behind furniture.

Ancient Recovery Techniques
Cuoco swears by cupping, an ancient Eastern practice used to treat muscle soreness and other ailments. Heated glass cups are applied to the skin, creating suction, stimulating blood flow (and creating a red bruise).
Cuoco also gets Gua Sha sessions, which is another technique found in Chinese medicine. A tool is used to scrape across the skin to stimulate energy (chi) flow and restore mobility.
