Cardi B Workout and Diet
Cardi B was born Belcalis Merlenis Almanzar in the South Bronx, New York. She attended Renaissance High School for Music Theatre & Technology and was a member of a gang called the Bloods. She became a stripper as a way to escape from an abusive relationship and poverty, and has been very open and proud of her decision. She attended community college for a while, but eventually dropped out. In 2013, some of her posts went viral on social media, and then in 2015 she found a place in a reality series called Love & Hip Hop: New York before storming onto the music scene. Her single ‘Bodak Yellow’ went to #1 in 2017. She earned 2 Grammy nominations in 2017, 8 nominations at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, and won for Top Rap Female Artist. She also won a Grammy in 2019 for Invasion of Privacy, her debut album. Cardi B was named by Forbes magazine as one of the most influential female rappers of all time. She also played a stripper in the movie, Hustlers. CardiB secretly married Migos’ member Offset in September 2017 and they have a daughter together. In 2019, Cardi B was convicted of 2 felony assault charges and several other violations for inciting a strip club fight. She has millions of followers on social media. Cardi B is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 135 lbs.
Cardi B’s Diet
Growing up, Cardi B says she often went hungry and was skinny. While she is an avowed fast food addict, she did a 180 when she got pregnant and even tried vegan food in an effort to be healthy. She sticks to only eating 2 meals per day, breakfast and dinner. This can be a form of intermittent fasting which helps the body in many ways, including weight loss, regulating blood sugar levels, reducing inflammation and cell repair. Her foods run the gamut from hearty eggs, bacon and potatoes to pizza to barbecue to wings. But she’ll still return to vegan selections from time to time. She also drinks weight loss tea twice a week to help curb her appetite. Just 3 months after giving birth, she had dropped all the baby weight and then some. She says the tea worked a little too well, and led to depression over her too-skinny body.
