Everybody is always looking for a method to lose weight, whether it’s through intermittent fasting, keto diets, or dietary supplements. Losing weight is hard though and many of the products are full of empty promises.
Slimroast Optimum Coffee is a new weight loss coffee blend that claims it can help you lose weight by cutting cravings, increasing your energy, regulating your blood sugar, and improving circulation and mood.
That is a lot of claims and we’d be surprised if half of them were true. Unfortunately, the FDA does not regulate advertising on supplements so manufacturers can claim basically whatever they want.
So today we are going to take a look at Slimfast Optimum Coffee to see if it’s actually worth considering or if it’s just another product that can’t back up its promises.
Slimroast Optimum Coffee: Overview
Slimroast Optimum is an instant-coffee drink that is promoted as a detox and appetite suppressant drink. Slimroast Optimum claims that it is made with several independent nutrients that deliver nutrients to the right part of the brain.
Each serving of Slimroast Optimum is only 12 calories so it can be easily integrated into a strict calorie diet without throwing off your calculations. Just mix a pouch with hot water and the dark roast coffee will be ready in just a few minutes.
Slimroast is part of a relatively new trend of “weight loss” coffees that have popped up in recent years. Coffee has long been a favorite drink for those losing weight as it has very few calories, curbs the appetite, and gives energy in the form of caffeine.
Slimroast also contains quantities of nitric oxide which acts as a vasodilator. Slimroast claims that the nitric oxide ingredients allow the rest of the ingredients in the coffee to be transferred through the blood more efficiently. Slimroast Optimum claims that all of its ingredients are sourced from natural herbs and materials.

Who Makes Slimroast Optimum Coffee?
Slimroast Optimum is created by Valentus Products, a weight loss and dietary supplement company founded by CEO Dave Jordan. Valentus focuses on making functional drinks from weight loss shakes to immune-boosting supplements. Valentus gives customers the ability to become brand partners so they can generate some income from marketing Slimroast Optimum and other drinks.
We found Valentus’ BBB page and noticed there were a handful of complaints regarding billing and shipping procedures, which is very common with these kinds of online supplement companies. Fortunately, the company seems to have responded to most complaints and resolved the issues.
One other major issue we noticed is that the product site does not have any customer reviews. We normally take that as a sign that reviews are often negative. After all, why would a company want to remove positive reviews from their product? The lack of customer reviews reeks of suspicion to us.
How Does Slimroast Coffee Work?
Slimroast Coffee claims it can do all kinds of things, including ridding yourself of cravings increase your energy, support a healthier metabolism, regulate sugar levels, and detox your body. Coffee is already known for being a stimulant that can curb your appetite and give you bursts of energy, so Slimroast is not anything new on that front.
To be completely honest, not many of the ingredients have been clinically tested for their effects on weight loss. Of the ones that have, we could not find much evidence of weight loss effects in human beings.
Many ingredients are known stimulants though which means that if any of Slimroast’s claims are true, that it will give you energy, though it’s not clear if that is a good thing. Moreover, none of the ingredients in Slimroast have been shown to actually increase metabolism or regulate your blood sugar. Unfortunately, it does not seem like many claims of Slimroast bear out, aside from the normal effects of coffee.
Slimroast Coffee Ingredients
Here is a quick list of the main ingredients in Slimroast Optimum Coffee:
- Dark roast coffee
- Chlorogenic acid
- Garcinia Cambogia
- Cassiolamine Green tea extract
- Ginseng extract
- Proprietary blend
Caffeine, green tea extract, garcinia cambogia, and ginseng extract are all known stimulants. That means that these are the ingredients that boost your energy levels. Phaseolamin is an inhibitor that reduces the number of carbohydrates metabolized, which means your body switches to burning fat.
Chromium is known to enhance the production of insulin, so there is reason it may help with burning fat, but there is basically no research done on this. Less clear is if the amount of chromium included is enough to help regulate your blood sugar, which should only be low if you already have a chromium deficiency.
The proprietary blend makes us worry though. Two of the ingredients, 2-amino-5-methylheptane and beta-phenylethylamine are used as stimulants and could have negative side effects. The real problem is that Slimroast does not say how much of each ingredient is in the proprietary blend so we don’t know the concentration.
Safety and Side Effects
Slimroast’s side effects are mostly the same as you would get from drinking too much coffee. The most common side effects experienced by users are shaking, jitters, cramps, gas, and bloating. Again, nothing you wouldn’t expect from coffee.
We should also mention that Slimroast has been tested positive for amphetamines DMAA and PEA. Public health bureaus from some countries have posted warnings against drinking Slimroast.
Where to Buy Slimroast Optimum Coffee and Cost
You can buy Slimroast directly from the manufacturer or from an online third-party site like Amazon. At least, we assume you can buy it from the manufacturer website; we couldn’t find the payment suite on the page. A 4.oz canister of Slimroast Optimum costs $69.
Slimroast Optimum Coffee: Worth It or Not?
Unfortunately, we can’t really recommend Slimroast Coffee. As far as we can tell, it works just like regular coffee that comes in a much more expensive package. We recommend saving your money and just buying some normal premium coffee without the extra proprietary blends.
