Chelsea Handler’s Diet
Summary
Handler didn’t have a good diet when she was young. She would eat junk and then starve herself to lose weight. After years of yo-yo dieting, she hired a nutritionist and learned how to eat, which involves healthier food choices and eating more throughout the day. Handler now avoids processed food as much as possible and eats whole foods, such as oatmeal, sushi, grilled fish and salads. Handler did not want to give up alcohol because having a cocktail with her friends is how she relaxes, so her nutritionist showed her how to keep the calories reined in by having vodka with club soda rather than sugary additives.

Diet Details
AM Fill-Up
Breakfast is often oatmeal with a scoop of protein powder and ground flaxseed. Her mid-morning snack might be an arugula salad with shaved Parmesan and turkey (but no dressing).
Light Lunch
Sushi is a Handler standard for lunch.
Dinner Is On Bro
Handler’s brother is a chef and often makes her grilled sea bass or chicken with a salad or turkey meatloaf.
Necessary Cheats
Handler of course has her vodka. Food-wise, she loves Doritos but says she’ll only have a couple then throw the (snack-size) bag away. Her true indulgence is steak fries smothered with mozzarella and dipped in gravy, but luckily this treat is located 3,000 miles from LA at a diner in New Jersey.

Exercise Style
A Chelsea Handler Pilates Routine
The core principals of the Joseph Pilates method involve: Centering, Concentration, Control, Precision, Breath and Flow. Pilates are a mind/body type of exercise, and your full attention to the exercise is required to do the moves correctly.
There are a few basic moves that must be mastered in order to do the Pilates exercises, including finding your neutral spine, finding your C-curve, and lateral breathing. After learning these, there are over 600 exercises in the classic Pilates method, including the Hundred, the Roll-Up, and Teasers. Handler recommends watching a video or taking a class live to learn how to perform them correctly.
