There are many different types of collagen supplements out there now, including a relatively new type called liquid collagen supplements.

These products are designed to give you all the benefits of collagen while also coming in a convenient “shot” form.

And one such supplement that we’ll review in this article is called SpoiledChild E27 Extra Strength Liquid Collagen. We’ll go over everything you need to know about this liquid collagen supplement to see how effective it is and if it’s truly worth using.

Things to Consider

  • The dose of collagen per serving is somewhat low, but still within a decent range especially for liquid collagen in particular
  • It does contain artificial colors, sweeteners, and preservatives that may not align with some people’s dietary preferences/restrictions
  • In addition to collagen, this product also has hyaluronic acid and vitamin C for added support
  • It’s priced a bit on the higher side, which can especially add up if you need more than one serving

Healthier Skin, Hair, & Nails

E27 Extra Strength Liquid Collagen is advertised to give you healthier skin, hair, and nails, so you can totally improve your appearance.

Specifically, they say that the collagen works to improve skin hydration, firmness and elasticity, reduce wrinkles, promote fuller hair, and strengthen your nails.

Additionally, they say that hyaluronic acid adds further hydrating benefits for skin, and vitamin C boosts collagen production to offer additional benefits.

Joint & Bone Support

SpoiledChile also claims that their E27 collagen product supports joint and bone health. Specifically, most of the collagen in this product is type 1, which they say is most important for keeping joints healthy and flexible, and strengthening bones.

Over time, this could lead to less pain and improved flexibility and mobility.

Improved Gut Health

Another advertised benefit of E27 Liquid Collagen is improved gut health. They claim that collagen supports the gut lining and gut barrier function, leading to fewer digestive issues and better gut health overall.

Weight Management

Lastly, E27 Extra Strength Liquid Collagen is promoted to help you maintain a healthy weight, mainly from the collagen protein, which they say reduces hunger and promotes fullness.

But will all of these benefits actually come true?

Read on to see just how effective E27 Liquid Collagen is.

SpoiledChild Collagen Ingredients

The three main active ingredients in SpoiledChild E27 Extra Strength Liquid Collagen are:

  • Bovine Collagen Peptides
  • Hyaluronic Acid
  • Vitamin C

The other ingredients are water, xylitol, lactic acid, malic acid, phosphoric acid, artificial flavor, preservatives (potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate), beta-carotene, and sucralose.

SpoiledChild Collagen Supplement Facts

Bovine Collagen Peptides (5g)

The source of collagen in E27 Liquid Collagen is bovine collagen peptides, which mainly provides types I and III collagen.

Collagen is a naturally occurring protein in the body, accounting for around one-third of the body’s total protein levels. It’s found mainly in connective tissues such as the skin, tendons, bones, and cartilage.

Research has shown that collagen production declines naturally with age.  Therefore,  supplementing with collagen is often thought to delay some of the age-related collagen issues.

Current evidence does generally back this information up, especially for skin health and joint function. Specifically, collagen can improve skin elasticity, firmness, and hydration, reduce wrinkles, and improve joint flexibility and mobility, while also reducing pain & stiffness.

Other possible benefits are healthier, fuller hair, and stronger nails. And collagen may even boost gut health too by favorably altering the gut microbiota and improving gut lining.

Hyaluronic Acid (30mg)

Hyaluronic acid is a polysaccharide compound found naturally in the body, especially in the eyes, joint fluid, and skin.

It is very good at retaining water, which is why one of its main roles is to help hydrate various tissues. Some evidence shows that hyaluronic acid can improve skin hydration, reduce wrinkles, and even combat inflammation.

Not to mention that hyaluronic acid also reduces joint pain and swelling, and appears to improve joint health overall.

Vitamin C (80mg)

Vitamin C is an important antioxidant compound. But it also is involved in collagen synthesis. So, taking vitamin C alongside collagen may boost collagen synthesis to a higher level compared to collagen alone.

Does SpoiledChild E27 Extra Strength Liquid Collagen Work?

It is likely that E27 Extra Strength Liquid Collagen is supportive of pretty much all the areas they mention, with the exception of weight management.

Collagen is pretty well-researched, and they use a decent dose at 5g per tablespoon. Plus, they say you can take two servings which likely results in an even better, more effective dose.

Also, they aren’t too bold with their claims, particularly concerning the timeline of benefits. They say that E27 Liquid Collagen will support smoother and plumper skin, stronger and fuller hair, and joint health in just 6 weeks.

Now, not everyone is going to experience the same benefits nor will they have the same timeline. But in general, 6 weeks is a pretty modest claim and does allow time for the product to actually work.

How Does SpoiledChild Collagen Taste?

E27 collagen tastes pretty good! We tested the mango flavor and we were pleasantly surprised by the taste.

As far as liquid supplements go, this is one of the better tasting ones.

How Does SpoiledChild Collagen Compare?

E27 Extra Strength Liquid Collagen is a good liquid collagen supplement overall. It is both convenient and well-formulated.

The convenience is key. With powdered collagen supplements, you need to scoop the powder and mix it into a drink thoroughly. While this isn’t a ton of work, it’s definitely more of a hassle than simply taking a shot of collagen. The convenience may improve adherence to a routine, which is also beneficial.

Of course, the formula is great as well. SpoiledChild uses a smart combination of collagen, hyaluronic acid, and vitamin C which many products don’t offer.

The dosage of collagen is a bit on the lower end per serving, but still within a pretty good range, so it’s not like they way underdosed it.

However, there certainly are higher-dosed liquid collagen supplements, such as Proteinex Liquid Collagen Protein (which has 18g of collagen per serving).

Overall, E27 is a solid choice and why we’ve rated it as one of our top liquid collagen supplements

Who is E27 Extra Strength Liquid Collagen Best For?

E27 Liquid Collagen is best for individuals who are mainly looking for a liquid collagen supplement to support skin, nail, hair, joint, and/or gut health.

They say to shake before using, and then simply take it as is in shot form or mix it with water, another beverage, or even food.

Is SpoiledChild Collagen Safe?

There isn’t really any major concern from the three active ingredients in E27 Liquid Collagen. However, there are still possible side effects for some people, such as:

  • Bloating or other digestive symptoms
  • Allergic reactions

Also, E27 Extra Strength Liquid Collagen contains artificial colors, artificial sweeteners, and preservatives, so it’s not a good choice for anyone looking to steer clear of those.

E27 Liquid Collagen is non-GMO, sugar-free, gluten-free, dairy-free, and made in a cGMP, FDA-registered facility.

Where to Buy SpoiledChild Collagen

You can buy E27 Extra Strength Liquid Collagen right from the SpoiledChild website.

There are 30 servings (30 tablespoons) per container. It comes in two flavors:

  • Pineapple
  • Mango

The regular price is $55, but you can also choose the Single Subscription, which costs $49 for your first-time order and $44 for any future orders.

So, the price per serving is $1.47 to $1.83, which is decently expensive, especially considering that you’re only getting 5g of collagen per serving. Granted, there are other beneficial ingredients in the formula (and liquid versions typically are higher-priced in general), but this price still may be too high for some individuals.

Verdict: SpoiledChild Collagen Review

All in all, E27 Extra Strength Liquid Collagen is a quality liquid collagen supplement. It’s formulated with a smart combination of collagen, hyaluronic acid, and vitamin C, which over time could improve your skin, joints, hair, nails, and even gut health.

However, this product does contain some artificial sweeteners, colors, and preservatives and thus may not be for everyone. And the price can get pretty high especially if you desire or require 2 servings per day.

But overall, E27 Liquid Collagen is still one of the better supplements of its kind out there and can possibly be a nice addition to your wellness routine.
