Oscar Isaac Workout and DIET
Oscar Isaac Estrada was born in Guatemala but his family immigrated to the US when he was just a few months old. They moved around to several states before settling in Miami where Isaac started acting with the Area Stage Company. He also played guitar and sang for a ska-punk band that was successful enough to open for bands like Green Day and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. Isaac was accepted into the Juilliard School in 2001 and worked as an actor while still a student. His first major role came in 2006 with The Nativity Story, and his breakthrough happened in 2013 with Inside Llewyn Davis, which earned him a Golden Globe nomination. Isaac won a Golden Globe for Show Me a Hero in 2015. In 2022, he took on the lead role of Moon Knight for the MCU Disney+ show by the same name. Isaac has hundreds of thousands of followers on social media. He is married and has 2 children. Isaac is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs about 160 lbs.
Oscar Isaac’s Diet
Even when he’s not playing a Marvel superhero, Isaac often finds himself in the role of a character with lots of muscles, and so his diet is an important part of his prep work. For Moon Knight, he added more calories, almost all of them clean. Many Marvel actors follow the protocol of fasting for a minimum of 12 hours per day and cycling carbs to stay lean while building muscle. Macros are counted and a low-carb day would mean eating only 100g of rice and then plenty of greens and lean meat. High-carb days allow for carbs to be eaten at every meal, although quantities are still measured. It isn’t all chicken breast and salad, though, and Isaac has been known to sneak a few Cheetos here and there. He stays hydrated with plenty of water.

- High Protein 60% 60%
Isaac considers diet to be an essential component of his character, and so he makes an effort to eat nutrient-dense foods most of the time.
The Marvel diet recommends actors take at least a 12-hour break between their evening meal and their first meal the next morning. This means if you’re eating at midnight, you should not eat anything before noon the next day.
The Marvel diet also involves cycling low- and high-carb days. On a low-carb day, Isaac might only have a small bowl of rice. On high-carb days, he might add toast at breakfast and another serving of rice at dinner.
Isaac has a protein shake as a snack, usually following a workout to replenish glycogen stores.
They’re Called ‘Cheetos’ for a Reason
