Michelle Rodriguez was born in San Antonio, Texas. Her mother is Dominican and her father was Puerto Rican and she lived in both of those places as a child before moving to New Jersey at age 17. Rodriguez dropped out of high school but later earned her GED. Her acting career began in 2000 with the film Girlfight. She then joined the Fast & Furious franchise and also appeared in several other films including Avatar and Battle: Los Angeles. ‘ARod’ is also known for playing in the tv series Lost. Rodriguez isn’t into sitting around. Even when she goes on vacation, she is always busy doing something like paddleboarding, surfing, or rollerblading.
No Excuses
During the lockdown, when it might be hours between takes, Rodriguez had a punching bag set up in her trailer to help pass the time.
Enjoy It
While some stars consider training to be a necessary evil, Rodriguez embraces it. She loved getting in shape to play in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.
Daily Dose
To get in shape for D&D, Rodriguez worked out at least 5 days a week doing a mix of cardio and strength training.

Rodriguez did a lot of weight training to get in shape for D&D, including push-ups, sit-ups and classic pumping iron.

Besides boxing which is a great cardio workout, Rodriguez also runs regularly, about 2 1/2 miles a day. Another thing she does to get her heart pumping is jump rope.
