About Zi-Collagen
Zi-Collagen is a collagen formula created by Zivere. It’s specifically designed to offer anti-aging effects related to beauty and appearance, particularly for hair, skin, and nails.
In addition to collagen, Zi-Collagen also contains hyaluronic acid, various vitamins, and ceramides to further enhance skin health and overall appearance.
What’s more, Zi-Collagen comes in convenient capsule form, with a required dose of just two capsules per day, to help you easily get the collagen and other nutrition you need for healthy aging.
Zi-Collagen Benefits
Zi-Collagen by Zivere is advertised to offer several important benefits, including:
- Decreased Fine Lines & Wrinkles
- Enhanced Skin Elasticity & Firmness
- Rejuvenated, Even Skin Tone
- Improved Hair Growth
- Stronger Nails
Decreased Fine Lines & Wrinkles
Zi-Collagen claims to decrease fine lines and wrinkles to help your skin look younger and healthier. This is due to collagen, key vitamins, and other nutrients designed to restore strength and health to your skin.
Enhanced Skin Elasticity, Hydration, & Firmness
Collagen, hyaluronic acid, and ceramides in Zi-Collagen are all advertised to enhance skin elasticity, hydration, and firmness.
These ingredients are designed to lock in moisture, prevent dryness, and restore suppleness to the skin, which can make you look and feel younger.
Rejuvenated, Even Skin Tone
Yet another claimed benefit related to skin health is rejuvenated, even skin tone. Their formula contains antioxidants such as vitamins C and E which may decrease skin inflammation and oxidative stress.
Plus, the skin-renewing properties of collagen and biotin may further enhance skin tone and give your skin a revitalized look.
Improved Hair Growth
With a healthy dose of biotin, plus other ingredients like collagen, Zi-Collagen is advertised to improve hair growth and give you that thick head of hair you’ve always dreamed of (or used to have!).
Stronger Nails
Lastly, Zi-Collagen claims to strengthen your nails, mainly due to the biotin and collagen included.
These ingredients, they say, work together to provide potent nutrient support for your nails, leading to less cracking and thicker nails.
Overall, Zi-Collagen is advertised to offer many benefits, especially for skin health, but also hair and nails.
But does Zi-Collagen actually work?

Zi-Collagen Ingredients
Zi-Collagen has eight main ingredients:
- Hydrolyzed Fish Collagen
- Phytoceramides Extract 10:1
- Hyaluronic Acid
- Biotin
- Vitamin A
- Vitamin C
- Vitamin D3
- Vitamin E
Hydrolyzed Fish Collagen (1,000mg)
Hydrolyzed fish collagen, which they sourced from wild-caught fish, is a great source of type 1 collagen. This is arguably the most important form as it makes up 90% of the collagen in the body.
Type 1 collagen is found in high amounts in the skin, as well as tendons, bones, and other areas.
There are many benefits of type 1 collagen. For example, it can help to improve skin hydration, elasticity, and firmness. Plus, type 1 collagen may reduce wrinkles, fine lines, and sun damage. It also has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects which support skin health.
Phytoceramides Extract 10:1 (300mg)
Phytoceramides are plant-based ceramides, which are a group of fats. They’re vital for skin health since they make up a large part of the epidermis (the skin’s outermost layer).
These ceramides protect the skin from damage and also improve skin hydration and prevent dryness.
In fact, specific research on rice ceramides (which is what Zi-Collagen uses) shows that it improved skin hydration, firmness, and elasticity, while also reducing wrinkles and discoloration. Plus, Zi-Collagen has one of the highest doses of ceramide that we’ve come across.
Hyaluronic Acid (90mg)
Another important ingredient is hyaluronic acid, which is a natural substance found particularly in the fluids in the eyes and joints.
Hyaluronic acid is really good at retaining water, which is why it can help to moisturize skin. Plus, it has natural anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
Altogether, there is evidence that hyaluronic acid supplementation can reduce skin inflammation, improve hydration, and reduce wrinkles.
If you want a little higher dose, HyaCera offers 120mg per serving.
Biotin (10mg)
Biotin, less commonly known as vitamin B7, is an important vitamin for hair and nail growth.
Supplementing with biotin can improve hair growth and nail strength, but only in people who are deficient and/or who have underlying conditions. And it doesn’t seem necessary for healthy people.
Other Vitamins
Zi-Collagen also includes vitamin A (10,000 IU), vitamin C (30mg), vitamin D3 (5,000 IU), and vitamin E (100 IU).
Vitamin A and vitamin D are both fat-soluble vitamins. They’re necessary for the growth of healthy skin and hair. Plus, they provide some anti-inflammatory and immune-supportive properties that can benefit skin.
Vitamin C and vitamin E are also important vitamins for skin mainly because of their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. They can help control against skin damage caused by inflammation, too much sun exposure, and other factors.
Does Zi-Collagen Work?
After going through everything so far, it seems likely that Zi-Collagen will work.
Surprisingly, collagen isn’t one of the most beneficial ingredients. This is because, at a dose of 1,000mg, it’s a bit too low to see really good results.
However, Zi-Collagen has many other well-researched ingredients, such as hyaluronic acid and phytoceramides. And fortunately, these are dosed at solid levels.
Plus, biotin and the other vitamins are also evidence-based and dosed properly.
So, basically, Zi-Collagen has enough solid components which makes it likely that it will help enhance skin, hair, and nail health. These effects will likely take time to occur though; usually at least a few weeks and up to several months for maximum results.
And as always, individual results will vary.
How Does Zi-Collagen Compare?
Zi-Collagen is a pretty good collagen-based supplement. We mentioned that the collagen dose is low, so that’s one of the cons. In fact, many other collagen supplements use at least 2.5g, typically 5g or more, whereas Zi-Collagen only has 1g per serving.
However, Zi-Collagen also contains high levels of other synergistic ingredients, such as hyaluronic acid, ceramides, and biotin. In fact, it’s only one of a few supplements that has all of these different ingredients together.
We also like that it has a fully transparent label and is tested properly for safety and purity.
If you’re specifically looking for a higher dose of collagen, though, it’s better to go with something like Tranont Glow. This formula contains 11g of collagen peptides, a high dose of biotin, hyaluronic acid, and natural antioxidants like pomegranate extract. Together, these may provide great support for overall skin health, including hydration, firmness, elasticity, and youthfulness. However, it’s definitely higher-priced at $72 for 15 servings. But you could easily do just fine with half of a serving (one tablespoon) to cut the cost significantly.
Another possible option is Obvi Super Collagen Protein. It has 10g of collagen per serving alongside a number of vitamins and minerals, such as vitamin C, biotin, and iron. There isn’t any hyaluronic acid or ceramides though. But Obvi is easily one of the most affordable collagen-based products too at $39.99 for 30 servings. There are ways to save too.
Who is Zi-Collagen Best For?
Zi-Collagen is best for people who are primarily looking to improve their overall skin health and appearance due to the number of skin-supportive ingredients in this formula.
It is a potential option for people who want to reduce wrinkles, improve skin hydration, and enhance skin elasticity and firmness.
How to Take Zi-Collagen
Zi-Collagen is a capsule-based product. Take one serving (two capsules) daily, preferably with a meal.
Is Zi-Collagen Safe?
Zi-Collagen seems to be a safe product overall but there are a couple of concerns.
First, they have a really high dose of biotin, as well as high doses of vitamins A, D, and E. The latter three are fat-soluble which means they can build up in the body. And over time, this could cause toxicity if taken in too high amounts.
Other possible side effects of Zi-Collagen include:
- Bloating or upset stomach
- Headache
- Rash
- Insomnia
Zi-Collagen is made in the USA in a cGMP, FDA-registered facility. It is also third-party tested for heavy metals and contaminants, and to ensure potency and purity. Plus, Zi-Collagen is gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, non-GMO, and doesn’t contain any additives or artificial ingredients.
