Feed Your Soul
Bonet takes what she puts into her body seriously. She sticks to whole, organic foods, which includes some animal products.
Back To Basics
Bonet drinks bone broth which is chock-full of nutrition, including collagen for joints and skin, vitamins including A and K2, and trace minerals like zinc and selenium. It is also high in protein which can help you feel fuller, longer, supporting weight loss.
In the Raw
Bonet also eats raw butter, which is unprocessed, unhomogenized, unpasteurized and unheated, which means it retains all of the vitamins and minerals of the raw milk it was made from. Raw butter is high in antioxidants, and iodine which boosts your health and can clear your complexion.
Gluten Be Gone
Although she didn’t buy into the gluten connection at first, Bonet switched to gluten-free bread on a doctor’s recommendation for her daughter who was regularly waking up in the middle of the night wheezing. She says getting rid of gluten did the trick and now buys gluten-free sourdough bread for the family.

Lisa Bonet’s Supplements
Coconut Oil
Bonet loves her organic coconut oil, inside and out. She’ll use it to make eggs and she’ll slather it on her skin and hair. She says she was into coconut oil long before the current craze.
Bone Broth
Bonet reguarly drinks bone broth which is high in vitamins and minerals including iron, selenium, and zinc. It reduces inflammation in the body, and may help heal conditions like leaky gut.
vitamin D
Other than coconut oil and broth, Bonet is keeping quiet about any other vitamins she might take, but as a woman of a certain age, supplementing with vitamin D is a good idea as research shows less than 10% of women over the age of 50 get enough through diet alone.
Calcium
Calcium is also important for older women. No matter how amazing they look, bone loss becomes a concern, especially after menopause.
Magnesium
Magnesium deficiency is also common, and can cause sleep problems, increase your risk of type 2 diabetes and raise blood pressure.
B-complex
Taking a B-complex supplement can reduce your risk of heart disease and stroke.
Omega-3s
Omega-3s are essential for a reason: they help prevent cancer, osteoporosis and arthritis, and a vegan version is available.
collagen
If you’re not a fan of bone broth, a collagen supplement can keep your skin strong and resilient, as well as help reduce joint pain.
Antioxidants
Antioxidants such as turmeric, boswellia and ginger can all help reduce inflammation and the risk of cancer.

Bonet says she has always taken good care of her skin, and this includes removing all her makeup before bed.

Anti Vaxxer
In an interview on The Phil Donahue Show, Bonet said she believed vaccines potentially cause serious health problems like leukemia, MS and cancer.
Honoring Her Soul
A self-described quiet, reserved person, Bonet legally changed her name to ‘Lilakoi Moon’ in 1993 to separate her actor persona from her private self.

Bonet On Aging
‘The number itself feels irrelevant to me. I look in the mirror and I see in this face all the life that has occurred.’
Bonet On Her Flawless Skin
‘I’ve always taken skin care very seriously…I’m not one of those people who can go to sleep with their makeup on and wake up and be fine.’
Bonet On Coconut Oil
‘Why put a lotion on your body that has 10 ingredients when you can put on one that is from nature and smells divine and does the job?’
Bonet On Her Husband Momoa
‘In that moment, love came and it came big, and he did not run as I think a lot of men do. He basically picked me up and threw me over his shoulder, caveman-style!’
