Kristen Bell’s Diet

Diet Summary

Bell has been a vegetarian since she was 11 years old and followed a vegan diet for 5 years after watching a documentary called Forks Over Knives. However, she has since gone back to vegetarian, saying veganism wasn’t sustainable for her long-term. She sticks to whole foods that are locally-grown whenever possible. Bell has also done a 30-day no-sugar challenge. When she binged after it was over, she got sick and decided sugar can be addictive like a drug and now avoids it. She also avoids alcohol saying it makes her feel ill, although she will have a glass of rosé while on vacation. Bell loves to bake and says she always wants to feed people.

Garbage Disposal Lunch

A Kristen Bell Routine

Warm up: Take 5 min. to get your muscles ready.
Sprint: 15 sec. sprint followed by 1 min. recovery. Repeat 10-15 times.

Some Pilates Moves
Single leg stretch: Lie on back, knees bent, shins parallel to floor. Curl head and shoulders off mat and extend right leg straight out, keeping left leg bent. Tap knee with left hand and ankle with right hand. Keep back flat on mat. Switch legs, tapping knee and ankle. Repeat 10x/side.

Single straight leg stretch: Lie flat on back, legs straight up toward ceiling, curl head and shoulders off mat. Gently hold right ankle or shin and lower left leg toward mat. Inhale as you gently pull your right leg toward your face. Pulse twice then switch legs. Repeat 6-10x/side.

Teaser: Sit up, knees bent, feet on mat. Keeping knees together, lift one foot and raise both arms overhead. Roll down to the mat in control, 1 vertebra at a time. Exhale and roll back up to seated, keeping leg and arms raised. Switch legs and repeat. If this is too difficult, you can keep both feet on floor. If you are more advanced, you can lift both feet off floor. Repeat 6-10x.

Seal roll: Sit tall, knees out, soles of feet touching. Pass hands under ankles and hold your feet. Curl your chin toward chest and roll along the spine only to the mid-back, then roll back up using core strength not momentum. You may clap the feet while seated and when you roll back if you like. Repeat 6-10x.
